We are currently seeking an experienced leader to join our Procurement Leadership team as Director of Procurement - Packaging Sourcing & Engineering for North America. This person will partner with the VP of Procurement in cultivating a high performing organization, and will be responsible for leading our packaging sourcing and packaging engineering teams. You will be responsible for end-to-end Packaging execution across our various brands; driving sourcing strategy, design innovation, quality and product testing and evaluation. The Director will have the opportunity to both build new functions and manage our established teams as we continue to grow and scale our volume and product range.

  • Serve as key member of the Procurement Leadership team.
  • Grow a high performing team, providing leadership, coaching and developmental support to Associate Directors & Strategy Managers of packaging sourcing and packaging engineering.
  • Cultivate a strong team culture consistent with HelloFresh's core values and drive sourcing and technical best practices throughout your organization.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to develop a sourcing and product innovation roadmap that supports company goals. Set and oversee the achievement of OKRs on cost, growth and innovation, risk management, supplier performance, and team development and enablement.

About the Role:

The Project Manager (PM) will be a lead member in our operations team and will drive the delivery of all the various network infrastructure and cabling projects within a particular site. This position will require the individual to have development, management, customer engagement, operational and overall leadership skills.


Key responsibilities will include establishing the program schedule and ensuring the established targets are met regarding schedule, cost, functionality, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.


The role will also include consulting with clients, delivering presentations, resolving project issues, recommendations for new services or enhancements, estimating, proposal writing, project costs management, directing operations on labor requirements, directing/assisting purchasing with bill of materials.


The Project Manager is responsible for the entire successful execution of a project. Their primary responsibilities are to plan, direct, coordinate, and budget activities concerned with the construction of their project. The Project Manager shall also participate and at times lead the conceptual development of a construction project and oversee its organization, estimating, scheduling, and implementation.


What You’ll Do:

  • The project manager is accountable for effective project management and delivery of their projects.
  • The PM will work with the extended site team to develop the program schedule and establish key milestones for delivery of the program ensuring all financial targets, schedule targets are met in alignment to the customers’ goals.
  • The PM will identify and acquire all resources required by revising as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • During the pre-construction phase, continuously evaluate the materials and products being proposed for constructability and feasibility. Oversee and at times prepare the cost estimate at multiple stages. Initiate and coordinate the design efforts and the value engineering processes.
  • Schedule the project in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines.
  • Determine labor requirements and dispatch workers to construction sites.

  • Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with codes and other regulations.

  • Track record of delivering mission critical programs on time, within budget, and to applicable build, quality, and safety standards.
  • Must be able to meet Motor Vehicle Record requirements
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Contract negotiation and administration experience
  • Experience building and leading teams.
  • Experience in assessing, coaching, and mentoring direct reports and vendor teams.
  • Organizational, time management and coordination skills across multiple disciplines preferred.
  • Client Engagement experience in similar programs

The Delivery Station Supervisor will provide on-shift leadership and will oversee the logistics package sort operation. You will manage all Hub activities and volume, including the unloading, sorting, and allocation of freight for drivers. Safe operations of the Hub are of the utmost importance and you will be responsible for leading up to 20 Associates at any one time and providing coverage for the Logistics Hub Manager when they are not onsite. The Delivery Station Supervisor will lead and cultivate a functional working relationship with all levels of personnel throughout the organization.

  • Manage a team of Warehouse Associates, along with directing contingent workforce to meet quality and safety standards, achieve performance metrics, and accomplish incoming volume bound for the correct destination
  • Use HelloFresh tech and systems to make operational decisions and ensure a culture of safety for operations inside facilities and over the road
  • Report to the Logistics Hub Manager to support operational scaling and communicate delays or any issues while quickly analyzing and prioritizing work to prevent failures
  • Conduct team huddles, to maintain engagement and an open line of communication with employees
  • Perform some dispatching functions for drivers and provide coverage for the Logistics Hub Manager on nightshift, weekends, and holidays
  • Monitor and evaluate the safety, cost, quality, and other agreed indicators
  • Ensure the security of all HelloFresh assets (hub facilities, vehicles, inventory)
  • Build an inclusive workplace culture and relationships with all staff, delivering on retention goals
  • Operate a lean facility by making recommendations to improve and implement new processes
  • On rare occasions, transport delayed package deliveries to customers, move vans in and out of the building, and transport vehicles to and from the repair shop.

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Preferably 2+ years' experience managing operations for fulfillment, supply chain, logistics, or transportation companies
  • Must be at least 22 years old and legally authorized to work in the US and possess and maintain a valid driver's license
  • Must be able to pass all pre-employment screens (including drug, MVR, background, and criminal checks)
  • Availability to support night shift hours starting between 11:30 pm-2 am - until the job is complete (4-day work week shift) or day shift hours (4-day shift week or 5-day shift week based on local need) and may include a weekend-day designated between Sunday-Saturday and general availability with shifts.
  • Proficiency in manipulating data and reporting.
  • Meet schedules/timelines and organize your own work. Can reliably work alternative and flexible work schedules including nights, Sundays, and Holidays
  • Leadership experience motivating and encouraging others
