General Manager
Position Summary
The General Manager (GM) of Shoot 360 is a results-driven leader responsible for driving productivity, operational excellence, revenue growth, and delivering a world-class member experience. This role leads the daily operations of the facility, develops and inspires a high-performing team, and ensures the business consistently achieves performance targets.
The GM sets the tone for accountability, energy, and execution—creating an environment where team members thrive and athletes improve.
Key Responsibilities
1. Drive Results & Productivity
* Own and achieve revenue, membership, retention, and profitability targets.
* Monitor KPIs daily and implement action plans to improve performance.
* Optimize scheduling, staffing, and programming to maximize productivity.
* Ensure efficient use of facility resources, technology, and training equipment.
* Lead sales efforts including memberships, renewals, camps, clinics, and add-on services.
2. Lead & Develop a High-Performance Team
* Recruit, hire, train, and develop coaches and front desk staff.
* Establish clear expectations, performance standards, and accountability systems.
* Conduct regular one-on-ones, team meetings, and performance reviews.
* Foster a culture of urgency, ownership, positivity, and continuous improvement.
* Coach team members to deliver consistent energy and elite service.
3. Deliver a Superb Member Experience
* Ensure every athlete and family receives a consistent, high-quality experience.
* Maintain high visibility on the floor, engaging with members daily.

* Create a welcoming, clean, organized, and professional facility environment.
4. Operational Excellence
* Oversee daily operations including scheduling, facility upkeep, safety, and compliance.
* Maintain Shoot 360 brand standards and training methodologies.
* Manage payroll, expenses, and budget performance.
* Ensure accurate reporting and data tracking.
5. Community & Brand Leadership
* Represent Shoot 360 in the local community.
* Build partnerships with schools, teams, and organizations.
* Drive local marketing efforts and grassroots engagement.
* Promote camps, events, leagues, and special programs.
Qualifications
* 3+ years of leadership experience in operations, fitness, sports performance, or service-based business.
* Experience as a prior GM of a consumer-facing business
* Proven track record of driving revenue and managing performance metrics.
* Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Passion for basketball training and athlete development preferred.
* High level of accountability, professionalism, and integrity.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
PEOPLE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Orients, guides, and mentors team members consisting of Anesthesia Technicians and support staff, to help build confidence and competency in skills, knowledge, and abilities. Serves as a resource and trainer for staff in anesthesia support activities.
- Collaborates with all members of the interprofessional patient care team by actively communicating and reporting pertinent patient care information and data in a comprehensive manner.
- Communicates clinical information clearly and professionally as needed to physicians, operating room staff and nurses. Role models to team members effective communication skills, assisting in their development of such skills. Facilitates problem resolution.
- Initiates contributions towards improvement of department scores for employee engagement.
SERVICE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assists with ventricular assist devices in intensive care and acute care to assess operation of the device.
- Assists with insertion of intra-aortic balloon pump catheters. Rounds on patients with intra-aortic balloons in place to assess operation of the device.
- Works independently, exercising sound judgment and executing above average clinical skills on challenging anesthesia procedures, patient care situations and in all monitoring and anesthesia locations including but not limited to operating rooms, catheterization laboratories, intensive care units, and other patient care areas where anesthesia is performed.
- Assists the anesthesia providers and other members of the patient care team as needed in the provision of patient care before, during and after procedures. Drives department activities to improve department score for patient satisfaction, through peer-to-peer accountability.
QUALITY/SAFETY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Focuses on the quality and patient safety in all tasks surrounding auto transfusion. Recommends improvements as needed.
- Performs intra-operative auto-transfusion according to established policies. Monitors instruments and takes corrective action if necessary. Monitors multiple cases simultaneously when applicable.
- Processes QC specimens to be evaluated. Conducts quality audits, performs, evaluates, interprets, and documents operational checks of equipment within established guidelines.
- Prepares, tests, and operates the following equipment in accordance with standard practices to serve patients: Autologous Autotransfusion (Cell Saver), Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP).
- Identifies opportunities for corrective action and process improvement providing recommendations and contributes to meeting department and hospital targets for quality and safety. Reports “near misses” and inputs error promptly into documentation system to improve processes and identify trends.
FINANCE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Uses resources efficiently; does not waste supplies. Self-motivated to independently manage time effectively and prioritize daily tasks and provides leadership to team members on effective and efficient utilization of time, minimizing incidental overtime.
GROWTH/INNOVATION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Participates in committees and task forces as assigned, ensuring that critical objectives are clearly explained, and action items are appropriately performed. Seeks opportunities to identify self-development needs as a Technologist and takes appropriate action. Ensures own career discussions occur with appropriate management. Completes and updates the My Development Plan on an on-going basis.

* Provide safe and effective anesthesia care for a wide range of surgical procedures, including cardiac, orthopedic, neurological, general, urology, ENT, bariatric, vascular, thoracic, OB/GYN, pediatrics, and trauma.
* Conduct comprehensive pre-operative evaluations, develop individualized anesthesia plans, and administer various anesthetic techniques (general, regional, sedation).
* Monitor patients' vital signs and physiological functions throughout surgery, ensuring their safety and well-being.
* Collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs), and other healthcare professionals to deliver optimal patient care.
* Manage post-operative pain and provide necessary interventions for patient comfort.
* Maintain accurate and detailed medical records within the EPIC electronic medical record system.

Qualifications:

* Experience and comfort performing mitral valve repair procedures with a mitral clip are preferred for full-time CV anesthesia coverage.

Administers anesthesia to patients of all ages in the operating room, delivery room, and provides other related services as needed in other patient care areas according to Medical Center policies and procedures. Position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers, and others.
PRACTICE SPECIFICS
- Medically directed practice with collegial Anesthesiologists
- 19 active ORs at Essentia Health St. Mary’s Medical Center (SMMC), 380-bed tertiary care center, Level I Trauma Center; high acuity
- 11 active ORs at Essentia Health Duluth (formally Miller Dwan) a 151-bed care center; approximately 80% outpatient surgeries
- 8, 10, 12, & 16-hour shifts
- Other anesthetizing sites are EP lab, Endoscopy, OB, CT, Northern Pines Hospital (Aurora, MN)
- Busy surgical schedule, diverse practice excluding transplant and complex pediatrics
JOB QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Education and/or years’ experience required:
- Has graduated from an accredited school of nursing
- Has graduated from an accredited school of nurse anesthesia
- Knowledge of current principles and methods of general, regional and local anesthetics
- Ability to function in stressful and emergent situations
Licensure/Certifications required:
- Holds a current license in the state of practice

Provides exceptional patient care in collaboration with anesthesiologists, surgeons and other physicians to deliver anesthesia for medical and surgical procedures. Serves as the focal professional for the continuity of care in patient care within scope of practice standards, as well as specialty specific standards to address and resolve problems that may arise. Overview: A call CRNA is part of a core team of dedicated CRNAs who provide timely anesthetic and emergency care for patients in a 24/7 model. This position is full-time and distinguished from non-call CRNAs who have a regular, patterned schedule. A call CRNA position entails a flexible, non-pattered schedule with in-house call responsibilities including off-shifts, weekends, and holidays. A call CRNA possesses excellent clinical skills, a commitment to patient safety, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. A call CRNA is eligible for the call compensation program in recognition of the position and commitment to the core team. Schedule Requirements: Availability to work off-shifts, weekends, and holidays as part of the restricted in-house call rotation in partnership with other members of the core call team. - Professional Skill
- 2.1 Understands physiologic implications and anesthetic considerations of surgical procedures, constantly monitors vital signs, capnography, and pulse oximetry during anesthesia according to ASA guidelines.
- Information Management
- 3.1 The CRNA ensures appropriate documentation within the accordance of hospital and regulatory requirements and protects information of all forms, whether computer-based, paper, film, voice, or other media from unauthorized access modification, destruction, or intentional or accidental disclosure.

- 4.1 The CRNA is expected to demonstrate a high standard of moral and ethical behavior, professionalism, compassion, and commitment to patient care.

EDUCATION
Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist Completion of Certified Nurse Anesthetist Training Program Graduate of a Nurse Anesthesia Educational Program accredited by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetist Council on accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Programs. Current State of Connecticut Nursing License, Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licensure in the State of Connecticut.
EXPERIENCE
Prefer clinical working experience as a CRNA within the given specialty/service line recommended, but none required. APRNs, PAs, CRNAs and CNMs are required to be appointed to the Affiliated Medical Staff of a YNHHS Hospital and credentialed through the Medical Staff process. Evidence of current competence to practice as {an APRN, PA, CRNA, CNM} via appropriate reference letters from physicians and other practitioners must be able to be obtained during the Medical Staff appointment process in order to be eligible.
LICENSURE
Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist AANA Certification, State of CT RN and APRN License, ACLS DEA Registration and State of CT Controlled Substance Registration
SPECIAL SKILLS
CRNA's must have sharp concentration and focus, along with the ability to stay calm under stressful conditions. CRNAs must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with surgeons and the surgical support team, as well as with patients and their families. A calm and reassuring manner is one way to inspire trust in patients, who may be apprehensive about surgery, as well as the surgical team. Anesthetic patient management must be immediate and responsive. Flexibility and adaptability are required.
PHYSICAL DEMAND
A CRNA must be able to demonstrate intellectual-conceptual, integrative and quantitative abilities; skills in observation, communication and motor functions; and mature behavioral and social attributes. Sensory- CRNA must be able to detect and interpret changes in monitoring alarms and equipment. Functional vision, hearing. no impairment of sense of smell and tactile sensation must be adequate. CRNA must be able to observe a patient accurately at a distance and close.Communication-CRNA should be able to speak, hear and observe. CRNA must be able to communicate effectively- includes speech, reading and writing.Motor -CRNA should have sufficient motor function to elicit pertinent information. CRNAs should be able to stand for long periods of time and wear lead as needed for fluoroscopy, X-Ray cases. CRNAs must have the ability to lift 25 pounds and reach above and below shoulder height. CRNA must be able to negotiate patient care environments and be able to move self/patients between anesthesia locations. Coordination of both gross and fine muscular movements, equilibrium, and functional use of the senses of touch and vision is required. Intellectual-Conceptual, Integrative and Quantitative Abilities-Abilities include measurement, calculation, reasoning, analysis and synthesis. Problem-solving, the critical skill demanded requires all of these intellectual abilities. CRNA should be able to comprehend 3-dimensional relationships and understand the spatial relationships. Behavioral and Social Attributes -CRNA must possess the emotional health required for full utilization of intellectual abilities, the exercise of good judgment, the prompt completion of responsibilities. CRNA must be able to tolerate physically taxing workloads and to function effectively under stress and able to adapt to changing environments, display flexibility and learn to function in the face of uncertainties inherent in the clinical problems of many patients.
