This full-time position is available immediately for a board certified/board eligible adult Neurologist, capable in both General Neurology and Stroke. Elmhurst Hospital is a Joint Commission Certified Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center and the candidate will be joining three other full-time stroke providers. Responsibilities include alternating direct inpatient (Stroke Ward or General Consultation services) and some outpatient follow up care. Key responsibilities include teaching, supervision and mentoring of PGY3 Neurology Residents, Medical Students, Stroke Fellows as well as mid-level Providers in an academic setting.
Candidates must have a MD degree and be board eligible or certified in both Neurology and Stroke with a valid New York State License, DEA and Medicaid number. Essential Functions • Performs trailer switches defined as hooking and moving a parked trailer from the yard to a load/unload door or hooking and moving a trailer from a door to the yard.
• Communicates with management and/or central control to coordinate trailer movements in the yard.
• Documents trailer moves using the Yard Management System (where available) or switcher cards • Performs pre- and post-trip inspections on switcher equipment.
• Understands and demonstrates effective yard switching safety processes and procedures.
