Sarasota Memorial First Physicians Group is seeking a Certified Physician Assistant for a busy Orthopedic Trauma group that provides expert surgical and non-surgical care for patients with traumatic extremity and pelvis injuries. Outside of the work performed for the general Trauma Program, the Orthopedic Trauma Service is also directly available for consultation by the Emergency Department, Primary Care Physicians, and by other Orthopedic Surgeons.

The PA III typically works in a multidisciplinary setting including first assist, procedures (chest tube, line placement, etc), multiple inpatient units managing patient care which includes critical care, trauma, and surgery. A PA is a graduate with a master?s degree or certificate from an accredited physician assistant program at an accredited school or college. The PA functions as part of the multidisciplinary health team in accordance with privileges approved by the credentialing committee to provide high-quality, cost-effective advanced care to patients. The PA is licensed by the Florida Board of Medicine and the Board of Osteopathic Medicine to perform medical services delegated by the supervising physician(s).'

Required Qualifications:
