Our client, a Fortune 500 pharmaceutical company, has engaged GForce Life Sciences to provide a Senior Electrical Engineer. the Professional Engineer (PE) will have expertise in electrical systems including electrical distributed power generation, feeds, distribution, lighting, fire alarm, emergency power, UPS, and low voltage systems. The PE is responsible for overseeing the engineering of these systems for major capital projects and initiatives from conceptualization through programming, design, bidding, construction, commissioning, and close out.
The PE will be responsible for multiple high-complexity projects of diverse scope that require an understanding of state of the art construction techniques and a high level of expertise in electrical systems, as well as rigor in compliance, and the highest standard of care. Science projects include research laboratories, vivarium, pilot scale manufacturing, major scientific equipment, amenity space, outdoor plaza, site lighting, and infrastructure projects.
The PE shall collaborate with the project team to effectively identify innovative solutions and bring clarity to the project process using a sophisticated analytical approach and sound judgement. Core focus areas include defining and meeting project goals for electrical systems, reviewing budgets, schedules, scopes, and quality, as well as risk mitigation and responding to field conditions and construction logistics and challenges.
The PE will be responsible to lead design teams and Construction Managers in both the pre-construction due diligence, design and scoping process with a focus on quality management, project controls, and user engagement as well as leading their teams through the bidding and construction administration process with a focus on field coordination, commissioning, substantial completion and close out.
Responsibilities
- Assists the Project Management team in developing the budget and schedule for design and construction projects, including renovations and green field projects.
- Works closely with Project Management, Engineering, Space Planning, EHS, Operations, and User teams to fully and rigorously document the electrical system requirements in the Owner's Project Requirements document.
- Performs preliminary due diligence explorations of existing electrical systems during project initiation to identify any potential risks to the project and any opportunities for improving the building systems of existing buildings.

The Lead Engineer is a senior technical and operational leader within the Engineering Department. This role is responsible for the performance, reliability, and integrity of critical building systems while providing shift-level leadership and direction to the Engineering team. The Lead Engineer applies advanced technical knowledge, oversees complex system troubleshooting, helps plan daily engineering operations, and collaborates closely with the Director of Engineering to ensure the property's mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and life-safety systems operate seamlessly in a luxury hospitality environment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:
• Perform advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of critical building systems, including HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, mechanical, and life-safety systems
• Monitor performance of building infrastructure and proactively address system deficiencies before guest impact
• Execute and support a structured preventive maintenance program for major equipment and systems
• Support system controls, automation interfaces, and equipment performance optimization
• Coordinate with licensed trades and external vendors on specialized repairs and technical projects
• Support event and club operations requiring technical coordination of power, lighting, climate control, and infrastructure needs
• Maintain engineering documentation, work order records, and system logs (e.g.,
HotSOS)
• Identify and escalate capital repair needs, system risks, and long-term infrastructure improvements
• Serve as shift lead for the Engineering team, ensuring coverage, task delegation, and work quality
• Assist in planning daily engineering priorities in collaboration with the Director of
Engineering
• Guide and mentor Engineers on technical procedures, safety standards, and quality expectations

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

CSArch, an A/E firm with offices in Albany and Newburgh, NY is currently seeking a full-time Project Engineer for the Albany office. The Project Engineer II has at least 5 years of experience as a Licensed Engineer (Electrical). The successful candidate should possess an Associate's, Bachelor's, or Master's degree of Engineering. The candidate must have at least 3 years of Revit experience. This position is primarily responsible for the technical engineering and production aspects of medium to large projects from conceptual design through construction closeout.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leads in-house building systems design / engineering team through development of design and construction documentation process. Could also provide Project Engineer support as part of a larger project team on larger projects.
