Position Summary

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) provides direct rehab care in speech therapy to patients upon physician referral in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.

Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited program in speech therapy (minimum MS or MA SLP)
  • ASHA certified (CCCs) OR must be eligible for 9 month Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) in order to earn ASHA certification (CCCs) and/or meeting ASHA credentialing criteria. Once achieved, must maintain ASHA credentialing.
  • Currently registered/licensed in applicable State. Must maintain an active license in good standing throughout employment.
  • One (1) year experience in post acute care or related setting preferred
  • CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation. CPR certification must remain current during employment.
Specific Job Requirements
  • Participates in community health matters/projects as appropriate
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and e mail
  • Liaisons with patients, families, support departments, etc., to adequately plan for patient needs
  • Demonstrate good body mechanics at all times
  • Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
  • Knowledgeable of practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in the post acute care facility
  • Implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department

Duties

During the course of their careers, Secret Service Police carry out assignments in protection. Duties include:

  • Providing protection for The White House Complex, The Vice President's Residence, The Main Treasury Building and Annex, and foreign diplomatic missions and embassies in the Washington, D.C. area.
  • Traveling in support of the Presidential, Vice Presidential, and foreign heads of state/government missions.
  • Enforcing mandated protective responsibilities as described under Title 18, United States Code, Section 3056A.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Possess a current valid U.S. driver's license.
  • Must be at least 21 years old at the time of application and under 40 at referral. Exceptions may apply for those with current or prior service in federal law enforcement positions covered by special retirement provisions. The Secret Service has determined that age is essential to the performance of this position.
  • Carry and use a firearm. Maintaining firearm proficiency is also mandatory.
  • Possess uncorrected visual acuity of no worse than 20/100 binocular. Possess corrected visual acuity of 20/20 or better in each eye.
  • Hearing loss, as measured by an audiometer, must not exceed 25 decibels (A.S.A. or equivalent I.S.O.) in either ear in the 500, 1000, and 2000 Hz ranges. Applicants must be able to hear the whispered voice at 15 feet with each ear without the use of a hearing aid.
  • Submit to a drug test prior to your appointment and random drug testing while you occupy the position.
  • Complete 12 weeks of intensive training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Glynco, GA or Artesia, NM and 17 weeks of specialized training at the James J. Rowley Training Center in Laurel, MD.
  • Certify that you have registered with the Selective Service System or are exempt from having to do so, if you are a male applicant born after December 31, 1959.

Under direct and indirect supervision, provides general radiology and fluoroscopic imaging in the radiology, emergency department, surgery and portable bedside service areas.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Performs radiologic examinations according to departmental protocols within diagnostic imaging department as well as operating room, emergency department and hospital patient rooms; positions patients, provides immobilization devices as required and selects technical factor that will result in optimum imaging for each individual patient. Assists with screening patients for contraindications.
  • Prepares sterile fields and contrast agents; prepares floor stock medications; ensures sterility of surgical packs, trays and disposables to be used in assigned area. Maintains appropriate and adequate supplies during the procedures.
  • Assists radiologist during fluoroscopic procedures. Operates the general radiology, fluoroscopy and portable imaging systems; and understands all system features and performance capabilities.
  • Post processes/reviews images as required; prepares images for Radiologist interpretation, and transmits images to the Diagnostic Imaging PACS system.
  • Maintains working knowledge of all department equipment and devices. Reports equipment malfunctions appropriately; reports accidents and/or unusual incidents as well as unsafe conditions to appropriate administrative personnel.
  • Assumes responsibilities for the needs of patient during procedure. Provides service-oriented communication with patient; explaining procedure; answering questions. Emphasizes a personalized, individualized, compassionate patient care atmosphere at all times. Dismisses patients for transport and/or assists with patient transport at end of procedure.
  • Provides instructions on appropriate safety measures to patients, family members, and hospital staff as required; ensures appropriate safety precautions are followed. Applies appropriate measures (ALARA Principles) for minimizing radiation exposure to patients and self. Records fluoroscopy time used during procedures.
  • Functions as part of resuscitation team during Code Blue and/or Rapid Response Team situations.
  • Maintains all materials needed and linen supply on daily basis; maintains general order and cleanliness of room assigned.
  • Rotates and shares on call responsibilities for General Radiology service areas.
  • Orients and trains (mentors) new personnel regarding subsection operations as needed.
  • Accepts responsibilities of direct supervision of student technologists during their clinical assignments.
  • Pursues ongoing continuing education.
  • Attends departmental meetings and/or in-service presentations as needed or required. Reads and initials minutes of such meetings when excused absence precludes attendance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day‑to‑day counsel and leadership to a staff of 4‑5 research generalists and specialists, including a Call Center manager who oversees a team of 10‑12 part‑time research interviewers.

  • Identify operational improvements/efficiencies and opportunities to mentor and motivate staff and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Provide strategic counsel to clients and internal stakeholders.

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities for the Research team and company, develop account growth strategies, and enhance the company’s service capabilities and offerings.
  • Develop and strengthen existing client partnerships and continually explore new partnerships and methods to stay current.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards and ethical guidelines in data collection.
  • Managing administration of airport badging and security clearances needed for in‑person intercept interviews to be conducted at Hawaii airports on behalf of the State of Hawaii.
  • Allocating resources effectively to meet project timelines and client expectations.
  • Providing support and input into proposed research design.
  • Managing all phases of select qualitative and quantitative market research projects to ensure they accomplish research objectives within the appropriate timeline/budget.

Essential Qualifications

  • Five (5) years’ experience in management, market research, marketing, project management, or related field.
  • Three (3) years’ experience in a leadership role, with people management responsibilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Management, Behavioral Sciences, Marketing, or related field.

Qualifications You qualify for the GL-5 grade level if you possess one of the following: Experience: One (1) year of general work experience that demonstrates the ability to take charge, make sound decisions, and maintain composure in stressful situations; to learn regulations, methods, and techniques through classroom training and/or on-the-job instruction; and the ability to gather concise information through questioning, observation, and examination of documents and records; OR Education Substitution: A bachelor's degree or successful completion of a full four-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; OR Combination of Experience and Education: A combination of general work experience AND successfully completed college education.

The above experience will be applied in connection with the following: Make arrests and exercise sound judgment in the use of firearms; deal effectively with people in a courteous manner in connection with law enforcement matters; analyze information rapidly and make prompt decisions; or develop and maintain contact with a network of informants.

Education Substitution for the GL-7 grade level: A bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement, which is based on (1) class standing, (2) grade-point average (i.e., GPA of 3.0 or higher out of a possible 4.0), or (3) honor society membership.

Or will receive a bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement.

Or one full year of graduate-level education in a field of study related to law enforcement (e.g., criminal justice, homeland security, justice studies, law enforcement, courts and judicial systems, forensic technology, forensic psychology, or corrections and rehabilitation) from an accredited college or university; OR A Combination of Experience and Education: This will be calculated using your resume and official or unofficial transcripts submitted with your application.

The Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”) is a key member of OHA’s Executive Leadership Team and serves as the strategic and operational leader of the Financial Assets Division. The CFO is responsible for directing all financial operations and resource management functions, including accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, internal controls, and strategic financial planning. This position ensures fiduciary stewardship of the Native Hawaiian Trust Fund and supports the long‑term financial sustainability of OHA’s mission to improve the well‑being of Native Hawaiians.


Essential Functions & Responsibilities


  1. Strategic Planning and Execution

    • Lead the development and implementation of sound fiscal strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with OHA’s Strategic Plan and organizational goals.
    • Collaborate with the Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”) and senior leadership on enterprise‑wide strategic initiatives, long‑term financial planning, and capital projects.



  2. Fiscal Administrative and Operations

    • Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, auditing, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, financial reporting, and compliance.
    • Serve as OHA’s primary fiduciary officer, safeguarding the financial integrity of the organization and the Native Hawaiian Trust Fund.

    • Lead staff development, training, and succession planning within the Financial Assets Division.
    • Manage and supervise Finance, Grants, and Procurement units within the Financial Assets Division.

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree (MBA, MPA, or MS in Finance or Accounting) is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible financial management experience, including at least 5 years in a senior financial executive role (CFO, Controller, Director of Finance, etc.).
  • Experience in government, nonprofit, or public trust fund administration is highly desirable.
  • Five (5) years of supervisory experience that involved management of professional staff and responsibility for the development, management, execution and coordination of program policies and activities.

Annual Base Salary for newly appointed CBPOs varies as follows:

Note: A fully trained CBPO is eligible for up to $45,000 in overtime pay in addition to the starting salary.
Grade level eligibility and salaries vary depending upon background, including experience and
education, and duty location of the opportunity. This is a career ladder position with a grade level
progression of GS-5, GS-7, GS-9, GS-11, and GS-12. You will be eligible for a promotion to the next higher
grade level (without re-applying) once you successfully complete 52 weeks in each grade level.
Promotions are at the discretion of the agency.
Officers are eligible to select from an array of federal employment benefits that include health, dental
and other insurance plans, a generous annual and sick leave program, and participation in the Thrift
Savings Plan, a retirement plan akin to a traditional and ROTH 401(k) offering.

Qualifications:

You qualify for the GS-5 grade level if you possess one of the following:



Experience:A minimum of three (3) years full-time general work experience that demonstrates the
ability to meet and deal with people and the ability to learn and be able to apply a body of facts; OR

Education Substitution:A bachelor's degree or successful completion of a full four (4)-year course of
study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; OR

Combination of Experience and Education:A combination of successfully completed college
education AND general work experience. This will be calculated using your resume and official or

You qualify for the GS-7 grade level if you possess one of the following:

Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of specialized full-time work experience equivalent to at least

    Formal Training:You will be required to complete a paid pre-academy orientation for approximately
    two (2) weeks at your home port. You will then attend a 101-day training program – CBP Field

    Operations Academy – conducted at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) located in
    Glynco, GA. This training consists of basic law enforcement skills, immigration laws, firearms training,
    examination of cargo/bags/merchandise, physical fitness, etc. Candidates assigned to the southern
    border, Miami, or Puerto Rico duty locations must attend and pass an online Spanish training program,
    which will be completed at their home port. Successful completion of the Academy is required for this
    position.
