We are a growing firm, looking for a Labor and Employment Attorney to join our team. Specifically, we are looking for someone who has 3+ years of experience.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience
- Transactional experience is preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to develop creative solutions to meet client needs
- Impeccable written, verbal and advocacy skills with a high level of attention to detail
- JD from an accredited law school and excellent academic credentials
- Licensed in Florida
Responsibilities:
- Represent employers in federal and state court litigation, administrative proceedings, and arbitration.
- Advise clients on employment law compliance, workplace policies, and risk management strategies.
- Handle matters involving discrimination, harassment, wage and hour issues, employee discipline, and termination.
- Draft and negotiate employment agreements, separation agreements, and restrictive covenants.
- Represent organizations in labor disputes, grievance procedures, arbitration hearings, and administrative proceedings.
The annual salary for this position is between 160k-200k. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

Akerman LLP seeks an Associate in Florida with 2 to 4 years of labor and employment defense experience to join its expanding national labor and employment practice. Employment counseling and litigation experience (before federal & state courts and government agencies) is required, together with excellent legal research, writing and analytical skills. The ideal candidate should have experience with counseling employers regarding labor and employment law issues, conducting witness interviews and investigations, drafting position statements, preparing employee handbooks and policies, drafting employment agreements and separation agreements, and supporting employment-related litigation. South Florida, Orlando, or Tampa office location flexible. Must possess a Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school and be a member of The Florida Bar.

Our client is a top firm, seeking an associate in JD class years 2021-2023 for its premier Intellectual Property Group in New York, Los Angeles, or Miami. The salary range for this role is between $215k to $250k.
Qualifications
- 2-4 years of U.S, and foreign trademark experience, including clearance, counseling, and prosecution.
- Substantial experience in reviewing search reports and preparing assessments for trademark use and registrations.
- Experience with due diligence acquisitions and divestitures.
- Copyright prosecution experience is a plus.
- Excellent writing, communication, and research skills; team focused.
- State bar admission in jurisdiction of practice is required.
- All candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.
