Job Summary:
The Senior Manufacturing / Methods Engineer is responsible for developing, improving, and standardizing manufacturing methods and processes across transformer production operations. This role serves as a technical expert in identifying process inefficiencies, implementing lean practices, and supporting tooling, routings, and work instruction development. The Senior Engineer will work closely with design engineering, production, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure robust, repeatable, and efficient production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process Design & Optimization
- Develop and refine methods for transformer manufacturing processes including core assembly, coil winding, insulation, tank fabrication, and vacuum pressure drying (VPD).
- Lead time studies, workflow analysis, and production line balancing to optimize labor and equipment utilization.
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities through process improvements, layout changes, or material substitution.
- Tooling & Fixtures
- Design and implement custom tooling, jigs, and fixtures to improve manufacturability, safety, and quality.
- Provide technical support for the setup and use of specialized equipment including winding machines, cranes, air lift systems, and oil processing systems.
- Standardization & Documentation
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, process flows, and visual aids for production teams.
- Create and maintain accurate routings and bills of materials (BOMs) in ERP systems.
- Continuous Improvement & Troubleshooting
- Lead or support root cause analysis of production issues, quality defects, and process failures.
- Support lean manufacturing initiatives (5S, Kaizen, visual management) and drive a culture of continuous improvement.
- Serve as a mentor and technical resource for junior engineers and technicians.
- New Product & Process Introduction
- Collaborate with design and project engineering to ensure new transformer designs are manufacturable and production-ready.
- Participate in first article production builds and lead process validation efforts for new products or major design changes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or process engineering role, preferably in electrical equipment or transformer manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing principles, lean tools, and process analysis techniques.
- Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Inventor) and familiarity with ERP systems for routings and BOMs.
- Hands-on experience with manufacturing tools and systems such as winding machines, VPD ovens, oil processing, and heavy lifting equipment preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Travel:
Up to 10% between plant locations as needed for support and implementation.

Summary/Objective:
ACI's MEP Project Managers oversee all aspects of planning and implementing the delivery of our commercial construction projects, including Mechanical, Plumbing, Sheet Metal, HVAC, Electrical, Fire Protection (sprinkler), and our respective subcontractors. PM's are knowledgeable in the design and construction of MEP systems and will be responsible for reviewing plans and specifications for design and constructability issues.
Essential Functions:
- Build and maintain a positive relationship with internal project teams, our customers, subcontractors, and key vendors
- Build positive morale on the project site
- Coordinate with various internal departments such as pre-construction, sales, safety, purchasing, CAD/BIM, and fabrication shops as well as client personnel and others to: Develop and maintain a construction plan and schedule
- Scope out vendor quotes and purchase equipment and material
- Scope out subcontractors and issue subcontracts
- Provide guidance for the fabrication schedule
- Daily monitoring of key metrics daily (manpower, material/equipment deliveries, etc.) and mentors site leadership to support the timely execution and completion of the work within budget with no defects or accidents
- Prepare, monitor, and maintain project budgets, and reports to senior management on key metrics
- Create Revenue Forecasts, Schedule of Values, Cash Flow analysis, and other financial analysis
- Identify changes in scope, prepares pricing, and submits potential change orders to customer
- When necessary, develop recovery plans to bring a project that is experiencing issues, such as issues with safety, quality, or production back on trac

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Lead all site-level procurement activities in support of cement manufacturing operations, ensuring uninterrupted supply of critical materials, spare parts, and services
- Serve as the primary procurement partner to the Roanoke Cement Plant Manager, aligning sourcing strategies with plant operational priorities and performance objectives
- Lead, coach, and develop a small team of 1–2 procurement professionals, ensuring strong execution, accountability, and alignment with business objectives
- Actively support Safety and Sustainability initiatives in the workplace.
- Support and execute sourcing strategies aligned with Titan America’s procurement policies, total cost of ownership objectives, and operational priorities

The Manager of Field Services will lead and oversee a team responsible for managing and executing field service projects. This role involves planning, organizing, and coordinating field operations to ensure projects are completed efficiently, on time, and meet customer specifications. The successful candidate will work with our Civil Engineering team working on designs related to land planning, site, roadway, and utility infrastructure design. Being a relatively smaller design firm, this position will also include such duties as construction inspection, AutoCAD drafting, project design, preliminary design markups, design calculations, report preparation, client meetings and board meeting presentations. Within this position you will work managing projects under the general guidance of a principal.
