Essential Functions:

  1. Demonstrates Bellco's Act Nice Behaviors and Core Values in all interactions with members, prospective members, and personnel in other Bellco departments.

  4. Understand all Payment Support functions including the processing of transactions such as ACH, Wire, RDC, RTP, FedNow, Bill Pay, Checks, etc.
  5. Make independent judgments and posts transactions to member accounts with a focus on elimination of errors. Makes sound decisions regarding members' accounts to benefit both Bellco and the member.
  6. Responsible for processing multiple incoming daily Federal Reserve ACH return files in accordance with Nacha governing regulations.
  7. Responsible for processing ACH disputed transactions (credits/debits) to and from members accounts as well as ACH stop payments, EFTs, and government reclamations.
  8. Responsible for processing adjustments and corrections related to electronic and check transactions.
  9. Responsible for requests, disputes and escalations associated with any Payment Support functions including BBB, DORA, NCUA and direct complaints.
  10. Handles member contact regarding errors and disputes to include processing of paperwork.
  11. Responsible for processing both domestic and international incoming and outgoing wires via WITS wire transfer system accurately and timely.
  12. Responsible for research of wire trace recalls and wire disputes ensuring full resolution.
  13. Retrieve Federal Reserve check return files and process all chargeback items.
  14. Responsible for processing check in-clearing files and settlements daily.
  15. Responsible for End of Day balancing and settlement as well as assisting Reconciliation and Accounting teams with reconciliation of ACH, Wire and Check files.
  16. Partner with other internal departments to research and resolve processing issues related to department functions.
  17. Participate in partner and team meetings to provide support and expertise.
  18. Regular and punctual attendance.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Civil Litigation Paralegal in our Advisory practice. The Paralegal will be responsible for legal document preparation, document review, legal research, drafting pleadings, and motions. They will work closely with attorneys to support litigation cases and ensure all necessary legal procedures are followed.

Qualifications
