About This Role

Role Summary

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Decision Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent alternative education, skills, and/or practical experience is preferred.
• 7+ years of work experience required in Network, Cloud Network, Network Security, and other areas directly relevant to Network/Cloud/Automation responsibilities and tasks; multiple certifications preferred.
• Demonstrated experience working in large, complex enterprise environments.

Technical Experience

Network, Cloud, and Automation

• 7+ years of experience with enterprise routing, switching, firewalls, and wireless networks, with HPE Aruba and Fortinet experience preferred.
• 5+ years of experience designing, building, and operating network infrastructure in cloud platforms, with Azure preferred.
• Strong understanding of hybrid networking models connecting on‑premise environments with public cloud platforms.
• Experience with network automation and scripting using languages such as Python, Ansible or PowerShell.

Identity, NAC, and Cisco ISE

• Experience configuring authentication and authorization policies within Cisco ISE.

We are looking for a Field Engineer that ideally has previous linear water rehabilitation experience i.e. sewers. This will be an onsite role for a sewer rehabilitation project for a utility client in Boston. They will be providing Owner's rep services and be reviewing drawings, RFI's, etc. to provide technical support out in the field to the main contractors out in the field. This person will coordinate back with the design engineer office to determine if changes need to be made.

Provide subcontractors with information and direction, as outlined within contract specifications, to allow the work to proceed as scheduled. Authority to interpret technical requirements and provide solutions in conjunction with discipline Project Department Engineer and Discipline Superintendent, to provide drawings and data, and to direct work as assigned and consistent with Company's contractual commitments. May perform subcontract administration of discipline specific or assigned procurements. Interprets and administers fundamental commercial issues. Position may transition to assistant superintendent or startup engineering role. May perform in an EPC environment where Company is either solely responsible or in a Joint Venture/Consortium with others. Provides technical direction/interpretation of design drawings and specification requirements, as well as general guidance to subcontractors on overall design. May perform fundamental design checks and re-design in the field without supervision. This role is responsible for the validation and certification of commercial chiller systems. Engineers will work closely with mechanical engineers, lab technicians, and quality teams to ensure chiller performance, safety, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

· Maintain all electrical systems fully functional to test HVAC systems (water-cooled and air-cooled chillers)

· Plan, execute, and support electrical testing of commercial chillers, including air-cooled and water-cooled systems

· Troubleshoot control circuits and low-voltage wiring on water-cooled and air-cooled chillers

· Analyze test data and prepare technical reports documenting results, issues, and corrective actions

· Support compliance testing to applicable standards (e.g., UL, IEC, AHRI, ASHRAE)

· Collaborate with design engineering teams to identify root causes and recommend design improvements

· Support factory acceptance testing (FAT), qualification testing, and reliability testing

· Ensure testing activities comply with lab safety procedures and electrical safety requirements

· Provide technical support during audits, certifications, and customer witness testing

Required Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

· 3–7 years of experience in electrical testing, validation, or product development (HVAC or industrial equipment preferred)

· Strong understanding of three-phase power systems, motor drives, starters, and VFDs

· Experience with electrical test equipment (power analyzers, oscilloscopes, multimeters, data acquisition systems)

· Knowledge of control systems, PLCs, sensors, and communication protocols (Modbus, BACnet, CAN, etc.)

· Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams

· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

· Proficiency in technical documentation and test reporting

· Familiarity with lab safety standards and electrical codes (NFPA 70 / NEC)

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience with commercial chillers, large HVAC equipment, or refrigeration systems

· Familiarity with industry standards such as ASHRAE 90.1, AHRI 550/590, UL 1995, IEC 60335

· Experience working in an engineering laboratory or test environment

· Knowledge of energy efficiency testing and performance certification

· Experience with automated test systems and data analysis tools (LabVIEW, Python, MATLAB, or similar)

· Professional Engineer (PE) license or EIT certification

The Role

We are seeking a proactive and independent HVAC/Plumbing Engineer to join our growing team. Unlike roles at larger firms where you may act as an assistant, this position requires an engineer with "hands-on" experience capable of designing systems independently. You will manage projects across multiple disciplines internally while serving as the primary point of coordination for architects, contractors, and local city agencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Engineering Design: Independently design HVAC and Plumbing systems using AutoCAD, ensuring all designs meet project specifications and applicable energy conservation codes.
• Project Management: Handle multiple projects simultaneously, overseeing the project lifecycle from initial design through to construction administration.
• Internal Coordination: Lead coordination between mechanical, electrical, and plumbing disciplines within the firm.
• External Liaison: Coordinate directly with external stakeholders, including architects and contractors, and navigate approval processes with relevant city agencies.
• Construction Administration: Manage RFIs, submittals, amendments, as-builts, and conduct field visits and punch lists.

Requirements

• Professional Experience: 3–5 years of professional MEP design experience.
• Regional Expertise: A minimum of 1 year of experience specifically on projects based in our major metropolitan area is required.
• Technical Mastery: Must be highly proficient in AutoCAD and able to design HVAC systems independently rather than as an assistant to a lead engineer.
• Code Knowledge: Strong familiarity with local energy conservation codes and building regulations.
• Multidisciplinary Skills: While HVAC and Plumbing are the core focus, additional experience in Sprinkler or Electrical systems is a significant plus.
