Familiarity with the operation of common Agrochemical formulation equipment and CIPAC test methods will be required. Understanding and application knowledge of surfactants, formulation stability, wetting, penetration and other physical characteristics is also required. Prior formulation experience in biologicals, seed treatment, adjuvant, fertilizer and micronutrient areas will also be desired.

  • Minimum of a BS in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering or other related science field. An advanced degree in relevant field such as Agronomy, Plant Physiology is a plus.
  • 3-5 years in agricultural or consumer formulation and applications in the pesticide, fertilizer and adjuvant industry.
  • Domestic travel will be required, with up to 10% of time on travel.
  • Very effective communicator, both written and oral, and excellent team player.

About the Role

This role reports to the Chief Growth Officer and plays a critical part in commercial data visibility, performance reporting, and insight generation across Sales, Finance, Operations, Brand, and Growth.


You will build scalable reporting systems, automate workflows, and create dashboards that provide clear performance visibility across B2B, D2C, retail, and POS channels.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Write and maintain complex SQL queries and scripts to extract, transform, and analyze data from multiple systems.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide specialized management consulting services in areas that may include: strategic planning, infrastructure management/asset management, operational optimization/lean processes, regulatory support, maintenance management, capital planning/forecasting, system planning, technology selection/on-boarding, data management/analytics/visualization, etc. More detailed related duties may include:
  • Plan, design, and implement operations and maintenance optimization and capital planning and renewal strategies for water, wastewater, and/or stormwater for utilities or transportation systems (transit, highway, airport)
  • Design and oversee analyses on large infrastructure datasets, such as GIS, computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), customer information systems, condition assessment/inspection databases, capacity assessment/hydraulic modeling, etc.
  • Perform services on-site as necessary to support client engagement
  • Perform project management on concurrent large, complex projects and successfully deliver these on time and on budget. Plan and designate project resources, prepare budgets, monitor progress, and keep clients and internal staff informed throughout the duration of the project
  • Perform quality control and quality assurance reviews of deliverables in accordance with Blue Cypress policy, including project management reviews
  • Maintain and grow client relationships and assess client needs with the goal of delivering tailored, cost effective, solutions. Lead business development activities such as client engagement, proposal writing, and presentations
  • Be accountable for Southeast UMS related operations metrics such as utilization, workload management, accuracy of timesheets and expense reports, and other metrics as assigned
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with oversight from the UMS Director. Take direction from and proactively communicate to multiple internal stakeholders
  • Collaborate regarding internal strategic business planning and lead or support internal strategic initiatives
  • Be responsible for developing business development strategies in collaboration with the UMS Director and the Marketing & Business Development Manager. Be responsible for implementation including identifying leads, making decisions on pursuits and related investments, and the quality of proposals
  • Supervise, delegate, and oversee work of early-, mid-, and senior-career staff

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience primarily as an engineering consultant in an Atlanta A/E firm; public sector experience also valued. Focus on water, wastewater or stormwater systems or transportation systems (transit, highway, airport)
  • Advanced proficiency in utility management and asset management consulting services
  • Demonstrated strong project management skills with ability to effectively manage collaborative teams with concurrent projects and deadlines
  • Established network of professional contacts in utility field within the Southeastern region, particularly Atlanta-metro, including local engineering firms and utility clients
  • Proven ability to establish and grow client base
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Enthusiasm, professionalism, creativity, and strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to receive and act upon constructive feedback
  • Outstanding critical thinking skills

Preferred Qualifications

Position Overview

As Baby2Baby enters a period of significant growth and expanded opportunity, we seek a dynamic, creative, and entrepreneurial leader to serve as a strategic partner to the Chief Operating Officer (COO). The Director of Operations, Government Relations will play a critical role in strengthening operational effectiveness, driving execution, and increasing efficiency across Baby2Baby’s government-funded programs.

Reporting to the COO, this role serves as a trusted right hand, leading the planning, coordination, and project management of complex, cross-departmental initiatives tied to public funding. The Director will translate strategic priorities into actionable plans, ensure alignment across departments, and drive accountability to meet programmatic, financial, and compliance objectives. This position requires a highly organized and solutions-oriented operator who can manage multiple stakeholders, anticipate challenges, and keep initiatives moving forward in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

The Director of Operations, Government Relations works Monday–Friday at Baby2Baby’s headquarters (5830 W. Jefferson Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90016) and other locations as needed. The role is currently in-office 3–5 days per week and may include occasional weekend hours or travel.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serves as a strategic operational partner to the Chief Operating Officer, translating organizational priorities into clear, actionable project plans for government-funded programs while leading the management and coordination of relationships with government officials.
  • Acts on behalf of the COO, as delegated, to drive cross-departmental alignment, collaboration, and accountability across funded initiatives, partnering with Finance, Programs, Warehousing, Communications, Development, Procurement, and others..
  • Coordinates the planning and execution of complex, cross-functional initiatives, ensuring on-time delivery, operational excellence, and full compliance with grant requirements.
  • Manages communication with internal and external stakeholders, including program teams, finance, compliance partners, and funders, to ensure initiatives advance efficiently and remain aligned with organizational goals.
  • In partnership with Program Directors, provides oversight, direction, and accountability for Program Specialist Leads, ensures consistency, quality, and operational rigor across programs.
  • Monitors project performance and timelines; proactively identifies issues and elevates decision points, recommendations, and solutions to the COO.
  • Facilitates regular meetings and check-ins to maintain momentum, resolve operational barriers, and ensure clear communication across teams.
  • Develops and delivers data-driven updates for the COO related to project status, performance metrics, budgets, and compliance obligations.
  • Ensures strong alignment between program implementation, financial oversight, and compliance requirements in close coordination with Finance and Program teams.
  • In collaboration with the COO and Finance team, supports budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for government-funded projects.
  • Supports operational decision-making by synthesizing input from program staff, partners, and funders into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Identifies and implements process improvements and operational efficiencies to strengthen execution and scalability across government-funded programs.
  • Serves as a thought partner to the COO and senior leadership on government-funded initiatives; ensures the appropriate departments are engaged from ideation through implementation.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8–10 years of professional experience in government, nonprofit, or related sectors, with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • At least 3 years of experience managing and developing staff.
  • Demonstrated success in a similar operational or project management leadership role, with a strong track record of driving execution and results.
