As our Skin Health Team Lead, you will be a champion for skin integrity, working closely with our interdisciplinary team, patients, and their families to prevent and effectively manage skin and wound concerns. You will be the clinical expert, providing guidance, education, and support to ensure the best possible outcomes for our residents.

 

Position Highlights

*Facilitate a person-centered team approach to skin and wound prevention and management, working alongside nursing center leadership, nursing staff, physicians, therapists, dietitians, and families.

*Coordinate and lead weekly wound rounds, ensuring comprehensive assessment, accurate documentation, and effective care planning.
*Collaborate on potential admissions with skin/wound needs, ensuring a smooth and well-prepared transition for new residents.

*Lead the team review of all new patient admissions and readmissions for skin integrity needs, identifying risk factors, existing impairments, and coordinating necessary interventions and supplies.

*Lead the team evaluation of all new skin/wound conditions within 48 hours of admission, providing expert inspection and ensuring accurate reporting and goal setting.

*Manage specialty support surfaces, ensuring appropriate utilization, collaborating on audits, and leading quality improvement initiatives related to surface management.

*Ensure staff competency, maintain accurate logs, and coordinate clinical reviews for extended negative pressure wound therapy use.
*Collaborate to ensure appropriate product utilization and support the nursing process for continence and incontinence management.

*Support the collection, comparison, and communication of clinical outcomes related to skin and wounds.

*Offer direction on new in-house wounds, survey queries, and drive root cause analysis and process improvement.

*Provide bedside training and coaching to all staff on skin and wound care best practices and documentation.  

Qualifications:

*RN; or MPT/DPT with senior operations approval

*Must be licensed in the state where position exists 

*Completion Skin Health Team Lead orientation training within 90 days of hire

*Completion of Wound Basics within 90 days of hire

*Commitment to complete Advanced Wound Training and completion of a national accredited Wound Certification within 1 year of hire

*For those hired with wound certification, completion of a fast-track hybrid program for regulatory wound care requirements will be provided

*Knowledge and experience with clinical charting (computerized and paper), incident reporting and investigation response
*Strong knowledge base of acceptable standards of care for nurses, providers, therapists, dietitians, and others on the nursing center team

*Experience in team building and demonstrating respect for the interprofessional team in wound management

*Knowledge of national wound guidelines and wound products

*Knowledge of nursing home regulations and survey process

*Strong Google and Microsoft skills required

This position is onsite based in Tucson, Arizona with alternate onsite locations in McKinney, TX ; Tewksbury, MA ; Largo, FL & Scottsdale, AZ . Travel up to 10% will be required.

What You Will Do

  • Responsible for the cost, schedule and execution of the Coyote Block 3 Plus (CB3+) Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) activities within a structure of CB3+ Cross Product / Systems.
  • Lead flight test, Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) proposal, HIL development, cross product verification testing, and cross product lab integration efforts .
  • Lead a cross product team of IPTLs and multidisciplinary engineers (~15-20).
  • Collaborate and effectively communicate with other CPTs, IPTs, program leadership, customers, and business associates both internal and external to Raytheon.
  • Support for budget and schedule efforts for multiple contracts by coordinating with program planning, finance, & leadership to execute Earned Value Management (EVM) analysis.
  • Coordinate with program and functional leadership to staff the team.
  • Travel up to 10%.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience managing cost, schedule, and execution for technical projects.
  • Experience leading/contributing to proposals, such as creating BOEs, contributing to leadership proposal reviews.
  • Program Manager Certification level six (6) or ability to obtain within the first year in the role.

We're seeking an Internal Travel Medsurg / Acute Clinical Instructor serves pre-licensure nursing students by providing clinical instruction, acting as a preceptor, and being a resource for colleagues. They advocate strongly for patients and families. Recognized as a clinical expert and role model, the instructor applies the nursing process and evidence-based practices to meet the complex care needs of specific patient populations.

The responsibility for the Internal Travel  Medsurg / Clinical Instructor includes, but are not limited to, the following: 

 

  • Provide instruction, supervision, and evaluation of pre-licensure nursing students in various settings including clinical, lab, and simulation environments.
  • Deliver educational experiences in collaboration with nursing faculty and leadership based on approved course syllabi, objectives, outlines, and assignments.
  • Supervise and evaluate groups of pre-licensure nursing students in clinical, lab, and simulation settings.
  • Coordinate with clinicians at clinical sites to deliver and evaluate clinical education experiences.
  • Meet regularly with students to provide academic feedback and facilitate post-conferences following clinical experiences.
  • Maintain student records
  • Serve as a resource person for nursing students, physicians, nurses, patients, and family members. - Apply principles of adult learning to plan and conduct educational sessions promoting professional development, student competence, and positive patient/family outcomes.
  • Model expert communication skills and time management through example. Ensure compliance with stated policies and procedures and remain informed of innovative clinical trends through benchmarking and evidence-based practice.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in teaching and precepting skills while applying adult learning theories. Facilitate knowledge development in pre-licensure nursing students, including effective delegation and clinical skills.
  • Assure opportunities for students to acquire necessary knowledge, skills, and behaviors to fulfill clinical requirements.
  • Work with preceptors to individualize unit educational experiences. Assume a leadership and resource role within the interdisciplinary team.
  • Contribute to evaluating resource use and cost containment activities. - Assist in developing clinical knowledge and critical thinking skills in others.
  •  Maintain confidentiality and respect confidential information. - Attend scheduled staff meetings and demonstrate competency in new equipment and procedures. - Perform other related duties as required.

The responsibility for the Bedside Role includes, but are not limited to, the following: 

 

  • Delivers safe, dependable and effective care to a patient population independently utilizing the nursing process
  • Able to apply the Synergy Model for Care in practice, and use this knowledge to personalize care for each patient/family
  • Communicates effectively and respectfully with the patient, the patient's family, and other members of the healthcare team
  • Documents the nursing process accurately and in the appropriate format (e.g. computer, clinical pathway, chart)
  • Utilizes patient/family input and goals in planning plan of care
  • Evaluates patient's response to planned care and adjusts plan of care as appropriate.
  • Recognizes needs and advocates for patient based on knowledge of condition
  • Recognizes that cultural differences need to be considered in developing patient and family relationships (focus on identifying cultural norms)

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

    • MSN required. - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing –
    • 2.5 years of recent and relevant nursing experience. The experience must be within the last 5 years.
    • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Georgia. -American Heart Association ( BLS, ACLS, PALS) NRP, FHM certifications relevant to the role are required. –
    • Professional certification completion required within one year of employment with ESP.

    Preferred Qualifications:

     

    • 2 years’ Experience teaching or precepting
    • Professional Certification in a nursing specialty
