Responsibilities

• This technician will support a large federal agency's Network Infrastructure through survey, design, and deployment of structured networks and will be responsible for the upkeep of the security posture of the environment
• This is accomplished through projects such as new installations, life cycle replacement projects, Cable Plant and wireless installations that are compliant with commercial, TEMPEST, and NIST standards
• Lead network survey, design and installations under direction of the government
• analyze, test, troubleshoot, and evaluate existing network systems, such as local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), cloud networks, servers, and other data communications networks.

Job Description

Day-to-Day responsibility:

- Installing, configuring and troubleshooting local area networks, wireless networks, VoIP systems, IP Public Address/Intercom and IP Video Camera systems.

- Configuring a variety of networking equipment.

- Analyzing and solving networking problems.

- Reviewing and evaluating IT system designs for compliance with industry standards.

- Conducting site surveys and on-site assessments and preparation of design/scope[1]of-work (SOW) for installations.

- Preparing clear and concise reports and technical documentation.

- Formulating and expressing ideas clearly and effectively in writing and orally.

- Setting priorities and successfully completing tasks in a timely manner.

The Social Care Network Navigator will support residents through education, navigation, advocacy, and ongoing social support to promote health and well-being in our vibrant community.

The Location: This is a full-time in person position at our Center in East Harlem with some travel to other sites in the neighborhood and occasional travel to other sites in New York City for events, training and collaboration with partner organizations.

Skills & Experience:

1. A Bachelor's Degree is preferred. Candidates with an Associate's Degree who have more extensive experience in community health work will also be considered.
2. Community Health Work experience is preferred and related certifications are desirable.
3. Experience working with individuals who have asthma and/or providing educational outreach about asthma to the public is preferred.
4. Fluency in Spanish or Mandarin is preferred.
5. Must have a demonstrated commitment to social justice, health equity, and community empowerment
6. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required for both individual encounters and public engagement. You must be able to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
7. Experience working with database or electronic record systems is required.

General Summary of Position:

Granite has an immediate need for associates in the Managed Services department to work on configurations and activations of our managed services products. We are looking for representatives, preferably with experience in network routing and switching or relevant technical background willing to learn and excel in the field.
