Key Responsibilities

1. Review and process purchase requisitions for MRO items and services; prepare requests for quotes (RFQs), evaluate supplier proposals based on quality, delivery, cost, and reliability; place purchase orders and manage the full procurement cycle from requisition to receipt and payment.
2. Source and procure a wide range of MRO categories critical to solar module manufacturing, including mechanical/electrical spare parts (e.g., bearings, motors, sensors, filters), tools, consumables (e.g., adhesives, cleaners, lubricants), safety/PPE items, facility supplies, and maintenance/repair services, while ensuring compliance with specifications and standards.
3. Monitor supplier performance, track deliveries, maintain shortage/delay reports, and proactively resolve issues (e.g., expediting urgent orders, managing returns, addressing quality concerns) to prevent production downtime and support reliable operations.
4. Plan and manage MRO inventory effectively: forecast usage based on historical consumption, maintenance schedules, equipment reliability data, and production plans; set and maintain optimal inventory parameters (min/max levels, reorder points, safety stock, economic order quantities); track inventory turnover and aging; identify slow-moving, excess, or obsolete items; and recommend action plans (e.g., disposal, consolidation, alternative sourcing, or consumption promotion) to minimize working capital while avoiding stockouts of critical spares.
5. Lead the development and implementation of structured MRO procurement processes, including standardization of requisition workflows, supplier catalog management, approval hierarchies, and best practices for indirect spend control, to improve efficiency, traceability, and compliance across the organization.
6. Ensure strong internal alignment by collaborating closely with Maintenance, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Warehouse, Production, Facilities, and other stakeholders to understand needs, prioritize critical spares/services, resolve discrepancies, and align MRO strategies with overall operational goals.
7. Prepare and present regular reports on MRO spend, supplier on-time delivery, cost savings, inventory levels and health, planned vs. actual usage, and potential risks; contribute MRO insights to cross-functional meetings, including maintenance planning and S&OP processes.
8. Support supplier development, cost reduction initiatives (e.g., consolidation, negotiations, blanket orders), and risk mitigation strategies (e.g., dual sourcing for critical spares) to align with Hounen Solar's goals of operational efficiency, high reliability, and cost-competitive domestic manufacturing.

Qualifications & Requirements Education: Associate's degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in MRO purchasing, indirect procurement, or buyer roles in a manufacturing environment;

1. Execute MRP runs in the ERP system based on the Master Production Schedule (MPS), customer orders, BOMs, inventory data, and production forecasts to calculate net material requirements and generate accurate purchase requisitions and production orders.
2. Plan and allocate demand for critical PV raw materials (e.g., wafers/cells, glass, backsheets, encapsulants, aluminum frames, solder ribbons), accounting for specifications such as grade, color, bin, and efficiency to minimize production changeover losses.
3. Monitor supplier delivery performance, maintain daily/weekly shortage reports and incoming material schedules; proactively resolve delays, quality issues, or supply disruptions to achieve Just-In-Time (JIT) or Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) delivery.

Deliver comprehensive Procore training to field employees and project teams across active construction sites and regional offices. Production Engineering at Pinterest is an evolution of our Site Reliability Engineering organization blending a hybrid of systems and software engineering with a focus on scaling, resiliency, reliability, performance, and efficiency. Our organization accomplishes this through building & integrating software, increasing automation, and infusing our knowledge & best practices into our Platform products so we can scale our large distributed systems to keep our customers happy, and our Pinners inspired. We also do this by developing short and long term embedded engagements with our engineering partners to help remove barriers, up-level reliability & best practices, and maintain a high consistent bar for reliability in a fast paced ever changing environment. We are always on a mission to improve reliability while also increasing engineering velocity, reducing toil and KTLO impact for both ourselves and our customers: fast, efficient, quality - we will accomplish all three!

What you'll do:

• Lead our engineers to deliver on the biggest impact work across engineering to ensure we're infusing best practices into our products relating to reliability, scalability, performance and efficiency
  
• Drive technical architecture discussions; including being capable of driving and decision making for technology or applications that you have not had previous experience with
  
• Continuously assess your team's performance, address and coach under-performance, and recognize and promote high performance
  
• Create an inclusive and welcoming workplace where every team member feels valued and supported
  
• Foster an environment of open and honest communication, allowing team members to be safe to fail, encourage risk taking with a fail-fast mentality, and establish forums where they can share their ideas

What we're looking for:

• 
  
• 3+ years experience managing teams within an SRE, Production Engineering or other Platform/Infrastructure organizations
  
• Customer obsession: Demonstrated ability to work cohesively and build relationships with partners across engineering disciplines and capable of influencing without authority
  
• Familiarity with the concepts and use cases for SDLC including SCM tools, Build platforms, test frameworks, CI/CD products
  
• Familiar with usage and high level architecture of data platform technologies such as relational databases, storage & caching, key value stores, time series data stores, etc.
  
• Strong domain expertise in reliability concepts and best practices with the ability to innovate and provide thought leadership and direction in this problem space
  
• Hands on familiarity with public cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
  
• Knowledge of Linux systems internals and networking
  
• Thrive in an environment with a lot of ambiguity with the ability to be self sufficient and ruthlessly prioritize the highest impact projects
  
• Infrastructure technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Tensorflow, ElasticSearch, ZooKeeper, and Infrastructure as code (e.g. Terraform, Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Salt, Fabric, etc)
  
• Heavy bias toward action; able to drive resolution and making quick decisions balancing being data driven along with leveraging your experience & judgement
