• Plan, perform, and support hardware or software product conformity, First Article Inspection review and audits; and support Stage of Involvement (SOI) reviews and audits.
• Oversee product change management submission and approval process for compliance with OEM customers’ requirements (EDES, NOC, etc.).
• Support Product transition processes to Manufacturing in collaboration with Factory Quality Control, Supplier Quality Control, and Manufacturing Engineering.

What You Need

• Bachelor’s degree in quality engineering or other related Engineering discipline,
• 7+ years of experience applying quality improvement methodologies, tools, and techniques, or equivalent experience in product design and development within AS9100/ISO 9001 environments and working with QMS standards.
• Strong working knowledge of DO‑178 software compliance and DO‑254 hardware compliance is highly desired.
• Familiarity with AS9145, including APQP and PPAP processes, is preferred.
• Ability to provide clear guidance and establish quality positions on program development and compliance issues for program management and engineering teams.
• Experience with MRP or ERP systems is preferred.
• ASQ certification is preferred.

Overview

The Senior Automation Controls & Vision Engineer will play a critical role in designing, developing, integrating, and optimizing advanced automation and vision-based inspection systems across the Global Manufacturing Supply Chain. Vision System Integration & Engineering

• Minimum seven (7) years related experience in Environmental, Health & Safety management
• Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering or Industrial Engineering
• Must be a US person
• Skilled in mathematics and chemistry, with computer proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.).
• Ability to partner with and effectively communicates to Teledyne Relays management and supervisory staff
• Process driven with excellent interpersonal communication skills required.
• Experience in manufacturing environment preferred
• Familiarity with ANSI Z136.1-2014 American National Standard for Safe Use of Lasers

Teledyne Relays, a business unit of Teledyne Defense Electronics, LLC, is seeking a dynamic Purchasing / Materials Manager to join our team and help drive excellence in purchasing, inventory management, stockroom operations, and shipping—truly EverywhereYouLook!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Plans, develops, manages, and controls the activities of the Procurement organization, including source identification, obtaining quotes, price analysis, purchasing, supply chain analysis, administration, expediting, and reconciliation of invoicing discrepancies.
• Develops, communicates, and administers team performance and career development plans and appraisals.
• Serves as the primary contact for purchasing, inventory & shipping related questions, negotiation of terms and conditions and pricing, training, policy and procedure interpretation and alignment by all departments.
• Manages current policies, procedures, and programs with a focus on their ability to enhance organizational value and efficiency.
• Serves as an important part of the management team and furnishes management personnel with timely information concerning performance metrics, as well as market conditions and trends that may affect the company operation.
• Ensures continued compliance with relevant laws, regulations, company policies.
• Establishes, communicates, and implements short-term and long-term goals for the department to promote continuous improvement, effectiveness, and efficiency.

REQUIREMENTS

• BA or BS in Business Administration or relevant field from four-year college or university
• 2-5 years of directly related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment in a Procurement role required.
• Procurement-related professional certifications and advanced degrees in a related field are desirable, but not mandatory.
• Solid analytical and computer skills
• Strong communication skills
• Outstanding team building and leadership skills
• Experience with XA and ERP a plus
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Ability and willingness to travel: 10%
