Job Summary: Manages the performance of all aspects of Front End Operations, including cash management, bookkeeping, front-end service, and payroll. Coordinates community and store event programs throughout the store.

Minimum Required Qualifications: The minimum required qualifications for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

The Home Therapy Registered Nurse, as qualified by federal and state regulations, provides patient training and ongoing support for all patients choosing a home dialysis modality.  This position is accountable for providing quality care to all patients and is committed to delivering superior customer service in all internal and external interactions.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties and tasks may be assigned.



  • Knowledge of and comply with federal, state, local laws and regulations, including health care professionals practice act requirements as they pertain to home dialysis program and patient care requirements.
  • Train patient (and/or care partner) in the practice of self-care Peritoneal Dialysis or Hemodialysis upon meeting federal and state regulations governing Registered Nurse qualifications.
  • Conduct home visits to assess the patient's home environment per policy; initially and minimally annually thereafter.  Routinely evaluate patient performance and assess the home environment more frequently as needed to improve care.
  • Communicate results of patient assessment, reassessment, and ongoing monitoring to the physician, team members, and others as appropriate to the individual needs of the patient.
  • Document all nursing services in the Electronic Medical Record including but not limited to training sessions, routine and non-routine in-person interactions, and phone conversations.  Documentation should accurately reflect the patient status and nursing interventions and be written to ensure continuity of care.
  • Participate in infection control monitoring, implementation, and recording as requested.
  • Be familiar with emergency equipment and all emergency operational procedures.  Communicate and regularly review Emergency Preparedness procedures with all home patients, including but not limited to emergency disconnection from dialysis equipment, what to do and who to contact if displaced from home.
  • Ensure clinic and patient supply inventory and usage is appropriate for patient prescriptions and place orders in timely manner to avoid fees and penalties.
  • Continually seek to improve patient and quality outcomes through tracking and trending of program and patient performance, use of critical thinking skills and root cause analysis to improve patient and quality outcomes.  Assist in obtaining data for the continuous quality improvement activities.
  • Obtain routine and non-routine laboratory tests as ordered and communicate critical lab values and urgent patient needs to the responsible physician or physician extender in a timely manner.
  • Complete and document monthly review of patient medication profiles.  Administer medications as ordered by the physician.
  • Responsible for performing on call nursing services, nights and weekends, on a rotational basis as needed or assigned.
  • Flexible with staffing locations and hours to accommodate patient and USRC home program needs.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is required for the position.

Home Hemodialysis Only:



  • Coordinate home evaluation with technical services department to ensure that the necessary electrical, plumbing and drainage requirements for proper equipment operation are met prior to patient acceptance into home program.
  • Ensure required and appropriate water sampling is complete per policy and product requirements.  Monitor and report water sample and culture results.           

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.


Requirements include:



  • Current RN license in applicable state.  License must be maintained as current and in good standing. 
  • 12 months of clinical experience in providing nursing care and 3 months of experience in the specific modality for which the nurse will provide home dialysis training, except in states with a more stringent requirement such as Texas, which requires at least 6 months experience in the specific home modality.
  • Previous experience in providing nursing care to patients on maintenance dialysis preferred.
  • CPR certification required prior to patient care assignment.
  • Confirmation of ability to distinguish all primary colors.
  • Must successfully complete the Home Therapy Nurse Orientation program and maintain annual demonstration of skills and competency applicable for the modality assigned.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of the English language and ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Must have basic computer skills; proficiency in all USRC clinical applications required within 90 days of hire.

The Fire Department has provided emergency ambulance transport services for all of Chula Vista, Bonita, and Imperial Beach since April 2021.

In addition to providing emergency medical response and firefighting services to citizens, the Fire Department also provides technical rescue training to first responders across the country, comprehensive fire safety engineering plan review and inspection services to Chula Vista's business community, and provides fire and life safety education and outreach to City residents.

ABOUT THE POSITION
Under supervision, responds to fire alarms, emergency medical calls, and other emergency calls to protect life and property; participates in fire training, fire prevention, public education, and station and equipment maintenance activities; operates a paramedic unit in response to medical emergencies and provides definitive medical care; and performs related duties as required.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED
Receives supervision from an assigned Fire Captain.  Receives direction through San Diego County EMS protocols and from the Battalion Chief, EMS Educator and Medical Director.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Functions may include, but are not limited to, the following: respond to alarms involving fire, all types of accidents, gas leaks, flooded structures, hazardous substances, and lifesaving and rescue work to perform emergency medical services; perform first aid and lifesaving duties; render emergency medical aid examining and assessing victims, communicating vital medical data to medical and/or fire personnel and administering medical treatment in accordance within established guidelines and/or at the specific instruction of base hospital medical personnel; support and assist other fire and medical personnel as directed on medical calls; operate a paramedic vehicle safely; treat and transport patients in accordance with San Diego County Emergency Medical Services protocol and department policy; perform primary and secondary medical physical assessments of patients; perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation; maintain an effective airway for patients with compromised breathing; administer advanced life support drug therapy within established guidelines and/or at the specific instruction of base hospital medical personnel; operate heart monitoring and defibrillation equipment; operate radios, telephones and other communications equipment in order communicate medical information to base hospital medical personnel or other fire personnel; prepare and maintain a variety of records and reports such as controlled drug inventory, equipment and station logs, NFIRS, and EMS reports; serve as a preceptor for paramedic and emergency medical technician trainees; perform building and grounds maintenance; clean, service, inspect and test motor driven equipment including ambulances; study fire department rules, regulations and procedures; operate computer related equipment and software applications related to assignment; may operate an ambulance; may assist in conducting hydrant maintenance or routine inspections; may participate in physical fitness program; build and maintain positive, collaborative working relationships with co-workers, other City employees, personnel from a wide range of outside agencies, other colleagues in the field, and the public; perform related duties as assigned.

Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade. An Associate’s degree in Fire Science or Paramedicine is highly desirable.

  • Provide meeting organizers with contact information for additional support during meetings.

Workspace & Floor Management

  • Conduct regular floor inspections to ensure meeting rooms, common areas, and workspaces remain clean, organized, and professional.
  • Support the organization’s hoteling and mobile workspace culture by assisting employees with workspace reservations.
  • Monitor meeting room occupancy and reclaim unused rooms when necessary to maximize workspace availability.
  • Work closely with facilities teams to report and resolve issues such as lighting problems, damaged furniture, or maintenance concerns.

Operations & Reporting

  • Capture and report data related to customer interactions and workplace support requests.
  • Maintain knowledge of internal events, workplace policies, and office procedures to assist employees and guests effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with company and client policies, including safety and operational procedures.

Training & Development

  • Participate in required training programs and ongoing professional development to support workplace service excellence.

Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of experience in hospitality, hotel operations, workplace experience, event coordination, or customer service
  • Strong technical skills, including Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and familiarity with audio/visual equipment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional demeanor with a strong customer service mindset
  • Ability to stand and move throughout the office floor for extended periods
