The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California for Senior Business Manager is $144,000-$267,400 and Principal Business Manager is $156,500-$290,700. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. - Meeting Facilitation Demonstrate excellent facilitation skills in moderating meetings. Examples include engaging all participants to facilitate their best contribution, sending agendas ahead of time, establishing clear objectives, managing the process to realize these objectives, capturing key content, and following up promptly on all action items.
- Analytics and Tools Using an understanding of business outcomes and the principles of effective delivery, leverage analytics to radiate actionable information throughout the organization from the team to executive level. Leverage tool capabilities to automate and simplify program activities. Partners with Sales Analytics team to align on core KPIs and metrics that act as the source of truth for the organization. The core data sets must be validated, accurate, complete, and consistent so that best next actions and decisions can be taken.
- Team Participation & Continuous Improvement - Actively contribute to the cohesion and effectiveness of the program management team by adding new ideas, sharing successes and failures, and showing up with a continuous improvement mindset.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years of sales enablement, channel programs, and/or sales planning experience.
- Experience communicating and representing work to senior leadership, framing discussions to gain valuable feedback, and experience working with technical management teams to develop systems, solutions, and products.
- Analytical and problem-solving experience with large-scale systems.
- Proficient in building trust and establishing relationships across multi-disciplinary teams.

- Execute (or Help) solid-phase oligonucleotide synthesis (SPS) and downstream processing (cleavage, deprotection, desalting).

- Develop and optimize purification methods and in-process controls to improve yield, purity, and throughput.
- Perform analytical characterization (UHPLC/LC–MS, UV–Vis); compile CoAs, batch records, and data summaries.

Position Overview
The Senior Executive Assistant helps keep the Executive Director’s (ED) work running smoothly by managing their calendar, scheduling meetings, handling communications, and making sure they are prepared for daily tasks. This role involves organizing travel for the ED, preparing materials for meetings, and keeping records up to date. The Senior Executive Assistant also supports the wider team by helping with meetings, keeping systems organized, and assisting with team events and staff development. They assist with planning and running Board meetings and support other special projects and events. This is a key role that works closely with many people and helps the organization stay organized and on track. The successful candidate brings experience supporting senior leaders, is confident managing complex calendars and communications, exercises discretion, and works well in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
Roles and Responsibilities
Executive Support (60%)
- Manage the Executive Director’s (ED’s) calendar, scheduling, prioritization, and daily and periodic logistics.
- Serve as the primary administrative contact for the ED; screen and route communications, requests, and inquiries, ensuring timely responses and discretion with sensitive matters.
- Track tasks, correspondence, and follow-up action items to support executive priorities; provide prompts for the ED to follow-up, as needed.
- Prepare the ED for meetings, engagements, and presentations by coordinating materials, talking points, background information, draft slide decks, and briefings.
- Draft, edit, and format professional correspondence and communications.
- Coordinate travel arrangements and maintain organized filing systems for the ED’s projects and records.
- Maintain key calendars related to governance, stewardship, partner organizations and member Tribes events, and grants to ensure that the ED has timely access to critical dates and deadlines.
Internal Operations and Organizational Coordination (15%)
- Manage meeting logistics for the office, as directed, including scheduling, calendar invites, attendance tracking, meeting packets, communications, venue reservation and set-up, meals, audio-visual set-up, and follow-up.
- Maintain internal systems, including contact lists, shared calendars, dashboards, and directories.
- Maintain and improve administrative systems, processes, and documentation to enhance organizational efficiency.
- As directed by the ED, support internal team culture by coordinating onboarding and internal communications.
Board and Governance Support (10%)
- Coordinate logistics, and scheduling for Executive Board and committee meetings, retreats, and orientations.
- Prepare meeting materials that include draft agendas, talking points, presentation slides, and collating background information.
- Prepare, archive, and track Board documentation such as agendas, minutes, reports, and follow-up actions.
- Provide administrative support to Board members, including travel arrangements, reimbursements, and other requests.
- As directed, assist the ED with coordination of special projects in collaboration with Tribal leaders of ATNI member Tribes, ATNI Committee Co-Chairs, and other high-priority partners.
- Take notes and develop draft meeting minutes.
Event and Project Support (10%)
- Support the ED by facilitating communications with Member Tribes and dignitaries to ensure timely distribution of event announcements, updates, and related communications.
- Assist with strategic projects by conducting background research and preparing materials.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, support, and document project activities and deliverables.
- Provide operational assistance to ATNI staff as directed by the ED.
Other Duties as Assigned (5%)
- ATNI is a growing organization. You may occasionally be asked to support ATNI activities that are outside of this position description.

Required Qualifications
- At least three years of experience in executive-level administrative support, operations coordination, or a similar role.
- Demonstrated success managing complex calendars, scheduling, and high-level logistics.
- Strong writing and editing skills, including experience preparing materials for meetings and events.
- Proven ability to manage tasks independently while maintaining strong attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
- Experience with supporting cross-functional teams, including coordinating projects or meetings.
- Proficiency with standard office and collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Zoom).
- Willingness and ability to occasionally travel for meetings, events, or retreats.
- Experience working with diverse communities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a Tribal organization, inter-Tribal association, or Native-led nonprofit.
- Familiarity with nonprofit Board operations, including minute-taking and governance logistics.
- Background supporting internal operations such as staff engagement and project tracking.
- Experience coordinating events or retreats, including logistics, materials, and vendor relations.
- Knowledge of key Tribal issues or initiatives related to governance, climate, education, and/ or economic development.
- Experience working within non-profit, membership-based organizations

Work Conditions
This is a regular, full-time exempt position based at ATNI’s Portland office. Working hours are Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends and evenings. Regular lifting of 5-10 pounds is expected. Must maintain good attendance and regular communication and be accessible and accountable to your colleagues. Employment is dependent upon the successful completion of a background check.
Travel
This role will be required to travel to in-person meetings and will travel throughout ATNI’s territory (Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Western Montana, Northern California, Nevada, and Southeastern Alaska) frequently and occasionally nationally. Travel for this position is estimated at 15-20% of the time. Employees receive mileage reimbursement and per diem allowances consistent with Federal rates.

This role plays a critical leadership position within the organization, guiding projects from early conceptual budgeting through final GMP development while ensuring scope clarity, risk awareness, and strong subcontractor engagement.
Position Summary
The Senior Estimator / Preconstruction Manager owns all pricing strategy and preconstruction cost development at Matukat Construction. This role leads estimating efforts from early conceptual budgeting through final GMP execution, manages subcontractor engagement during bidding, and ensures scope clarity and financial risk awareness prior to construction.
The Senior Estimator works closely with the Project Executive, operations team, and design partners to guide projects through preconstruction while ensuring pricing accuracy, market competitiveness, and alignment with project objectives.
This position reports to the Project Executive and supervises Estimator(s) within the preconstruction team.
Key Responsibilities Preconstruction Leadership & Strategy
Lead all estimating and bidding efforts from conceptual budgeting through final GMP development.
Establish estimating strategy based on delivery method including CMAR, Design-Build, Negotiated, and Hard Bid projects. Review owner program and design documents to identify scope gaps, cost drivers, and construction risks early. Provide strategic cost input during design phases to support constructability and budget alignment.
Partner with the Project Executive to determine go/no-go decisions and bid strategy.
Supervise and mentor Estimator(s) while supporting their technical and professional development.
Estimating & Cost Development
Prepare or oversee conceptual estimates, schematic budgets, design development estimates, and final GMP proposals.
Ensure quantity takeoffs, unit pricing, and scope coverage are complete and accurate.
Develop and maintain historical cost data and market benchmarks for Matukat Construction projects.
Establish contingency strategy and risk allowances in collaboration with the Project Executive.
Review and approve all pricing prior to submission to ownership.
Subcontractor & Vendor Management
Develop and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers throughout the Colorado market.
Create and manage bidder lists appropriate for project size, complexity, and market conditions.
Lead bid package development and ensure scopes are clear, complete, and aligned with project documents.
Oversee bid solicitation, follow-up, and bid coverage to ensure competitive participation.
Lead bid leveling, scope analysis, and value comparisons prior to award recommendations.
Risk Identification & Scope Control
Identify scope gaps, ambiguities, and design inconsistencies during document review.
Communicate design risks, market volatility, and cost exposure to the Project Executive.
Ensure exclusions, assumptions, and clarifications are clearly documented in proposals.
Support contract review to confirm scope alignment prior to execution.
Protect Matukat Construction from scope creep during pricing and buyout transitions.
Proposal & GMP Development
Lead assembly of comprehensive project proposals and GMP submissions.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to confirm general conditions, fee structure, and schedule assumptions.
Participate in owner presentations and proposal reviews when required.
Ensure all pricing submissions are professional, complete, and aligned with Matukat Construction standards.
Transition to Operations
Conduct formal estimate handoff meetings with the Project Executive, Project Manager, and Superintendent.
Review scope assumptions, subcontractor inclusions, alternates, and risk items with the operations team.
Support buyout strategy and participate in subcontractor interviews when necessary.
Remain available to clarify estimate assumptions during early stages of project execution.
Team Leadership & Development
Manage and mentor Estimator(s) within the preconstruction team.
Establish internal estimating standards and documentation protocols.
Improve bid package templates, leveling sheets, and cost tracking tools.
Promote continuous improvement in pricing accuracy and market awareness.
What You’ll Bring
7–15 years of experience in commercial construction estimating or preconstruction leadership.
Proven experience leading conceptual budgeting, design-phase estimating, and GMP development.
Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, subcontractor scopes, and bid packaging.
Experience working with multiple delivery methods including CMAR, Design-Build, and negotiated work.
Strong knowledge of construction market conditions, subcontractor pricing, and cost trends.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to lead preconstruction strategy while collaborating with operations, design teams, and ownership groups.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred, or equivalent industry experience.
