The opportunity

Unity's Vector AI team sits at the intersection of large-scale machine learning and real-world impact: our models govern ad ranking and bidding decisions across billions of daily impressions. Get the models right so players can discover games they love.

We're looking for an Applied Scientist with experience on user understanding, sequence modeling, and/or conversion prediction.

What you'll be doing

• Design and ship user behavior models that directly influence ad ranking, bidding, and conversion outcomes across billions of impressions.
• Own model quality from deployment onward: calibration, drift detection, and feedback loop management.
• Shape how the team builds, contributing to long-term technical strategy and overseeing engineering execution.
• Bridge the gap between ML complexity and business reality, communicating clearly with non-technical partners.

What we're looking for

• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, related fields, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience designing, building, and operating ML systems at scale in ads, search, recommendations, or related domains.
• Deep familiarity with at least one of: CVR/CTR prediction, auction theory, user modeling, or sequential recommendation.
• Production experience in Python and at least one systems language (Go, Scala, C++, or similar).
• Significant experience in one or more general-purpose programming languages like Python, Go, Scala, C++ or similar.
• Knowledge of metric design, experimentation methodologies, and large-scale data.

You might also have

• Experience with real-time bidding systems, auction dynamics, or marketplace optimization.
• Publications or patents in relevant areas.

Vice President of AI Infrastructure & Engineering

Position Overview

*Build and Overscale Training Platform:* Design and maintain high-performance training architecture supporting GPU clusters at the scale of tens of thousands of cards.

*Key Focus:* Establish a unified task scheduling and model management system (MLOps). All model training, checkpoint storage, and code version control must be exclusively conducted through this platform.

*Engineering-Led Data Governance:*

Develop end-to-end data processing pipelines covering cleansing, annotation, versioning, and secure storage.

*Key Focus:* Implement rigorous data access audit logs and data lineage tracking to ensure security and compliance of core data assets.

*Developer Experience as Control Mechanism:*

Maximize experimental efficiency through standardized toolchains, enabling researchers to focus solely on algorithm development without managing underlying configurations.

*Key Focus:* Codify “best practices” into reusable code templates.

*System Reliability and Disaster Recovery:*

Implement fault tolerance, automated model snapshot archiving, and continuity protocols to prevent loss of critical assets due to single points of failure (hardware or human).

Qualifications

*Background:* 10+ years in distributed systems, cloud computing, or high-performance computing (HPC), with prior experience in core infrastructure teams at leading firms such as Google, Meta, AWS, or NVIDIA.

*Mindset:* Exceptional engineering rigor with a focus on building stable, scalable systems rather than solely pursuing algorithmic innovation. Service-oriented attitude with a commitment to empowering top-tier scientists.

*Technical Skills:* Proficiency in orchestration systems such as Kubernetes, Ray, or Slurm; familiarity with PyTorch distributed training frameworks; deep understanding of data security and access control mechanisms.

Our large pharmaceutical client in Spring House, PA is seeking an Associate Scientist to join their growing Cell Therapy Drug Product Development organization and support ongoing CAR-T programs. Training is provided for this role and this team provides a lot of opportunity for growth! Other responsibilities include:

• Supporting CAR-T formulation and cryopreservation activities
• Collecting, verifying and analyzing data and results
• Participating in the executive of formulation and process characterization studies
• Implementing and maintaining high quality standards for all aspects of work conducted including adherence to regulatory GLP/GMP, departmental, and safety& compliance guidelines
• Tracking and coordinating inventory and overseeing sample coordination internally
• Coordinating and storing project-specific inventory, including patient material that was procured by and for a specific team.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience with cell culture and aseptic techniques
• Cell cryopreservation experience including formulation, freezing, and transfer to storage
• Bachelor's Degree or above in Biology, Biochemistry or related discipline
• CAR T Cell Therapy experience is preferred

Salary: $75,000-$85,000 (flexible based on experience)

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Hiring Method: Multiyear contract – After 1 year on contract, the individual will have the opportunity to apply for a permanent role or have their contract renewed for another year
