Job Description:

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dependable Fitter/Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and metal fabrication, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. A GREAT Attitude, Dependability, Integrity and experience are paramount, as this role is critical to ensuring the structural integrity and quality of our products.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ability to work independently with little to no supervision.
  • Clear understanding of welding and the effects of welding on sheet metal.
  • Ability to weld thin gauge steel & stainless steel sheet metal without warpage.
  • Lay out, position, and secure parts and assemblies according to specifications using appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Perform various welding techniques, using MIG , to assemble components and structures.
  • Inspect welded surfaces and structures to identify and correct defects. Including removing all BB's and imperfections.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and detailed drawings to plan and execute tasks accurately.
  • Ability to solve practical problems using reasoning and decision-making skills to ensure quality work
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm, takes initiative, and works with a sense of urgency to meet or exceed production and quality goals.
  • Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, saws, iron worker, shear and grinders all while maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop templates, fixtures, or other work aids to hold and align parts during assembly.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Operate as a team player, effectively communicating and working with production supervisor and others.
  • Good communication skills and great attitude.
