Responsibilities:
As the Maintenance Electrician you will oversee the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and improvement of all electrical systems across our recycling and plastics processing operations. This includes power distribution, automation systems, and production line integration. You’ll work closely with management, maintenance personnel, and production leaders to minimize downtime, enhance system reliability, and support plant expansion initiatives.
- Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot 480V / 3-phase industrial power systems.
- Oversee operation of switchgear, transformers, and main electrical distribution systems.
- Diagnose and repair equipment such as extrusion lines, injection molding machines, shredders, grinders, granulators, conveyors, and wash lines.
- Install, program, and troubleshoot variable frequency drives (VFDs), motor controls, and motor control centers (MCCs).
- Configure, support, and optimize PLC-based automation and control systems.
- Design, build, and upgrade control panels to support new or improved processes.
- Ensure all work meets NEC codes and complies with company and regulatory safety standards.
- Lead and manage electrical projects, including new equipment installations and plant expansions.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs.
- Maintain accurate documentation, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics.
- Support energy efficiency projects and initiatives that lower overall operating costs.

Qualifications:
- Active Master Electrician License (Indiana and Kentucky required).

Essential Job Functions:
1. Architectural Design
- Develop design documents for projects in all design phases, including master plot planning, schematic (SD), design development (DD), and construction documentation (CD).

- Work with equipment suppliers/vendors/consultants to obtain the necessary information needed for design completion.

Key Deliverables

Office Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee works primarily in an office environment using computer-based design tools. Duties include extended computer work, sitting or standing at a workstation.
