The Position

- The Director of Ambulatory Nursing provides strategic, operational, and clinical leadership for all ambulatory nursing services across the hospital's outpatient network, including hospital-based clinics, faculty practices, community-based sites, and procedural areas.
- Reporting to the Executive Director of Ambulatory with a dotted line to the Chief Nursing Officer, this leader will oversee a team of four direct reports and 39 FTEs.
- This leader will serve as a catalyst for cultural and operational transformation-building aligned, high-functioning teams, driving measurable quality improvements, standardizing ambulatory nursing practices, and leading strategic initiatives that position the organization for sustained growth.
- Ideal candidates will be seasoned nurse leaders with experience leading large, multi-site ambulatory operations. Experience supporting recruitment, regulatory readiness, and process improvement initiatives will be essential, along with the ability to provide operational and clinical leadership coverage when needed.
- This is a full-time, onsite role with required travel to satellite facilities.

Requirements

- BSN required; Master's degree preferred.
- Active New York RN license required.
- Minimum of seven years of progressive nursing leadership experience required, along with at least five years of experience in ambulatory, outpatient, or multisite management.

Compensation Range

- The base salary range for this position is $180,000 to $190,000 annually. In addition, a leader may be eligible for other benefits, including but not limited to health insurance coverage, retirement benefits, and bonuses. The total compensation for the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. The base salary range listed above is a good faith determination of potential base compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.

What you’ll be doing:

Keep the Asset Protection Manager informed of all potential workplace security and safety issues.
Maintain order and control of the front desk, lobby areas and switchboard.
Prevent internal theft by conducting scanning and bag checking of all employees and visitors exiting the facility.
Monitor entrance and front lobby to ensure all visitors are authorized, logged in and escorted.
Monitor entire property via CCTV system, fire, and burglar alarm systems to respond to incidents as needed across multiple fulfillment centers and delivery operations buildings.
Audit physical security platforms (intrusion, access control & CCTV) across multiple buildings to ensure functionality of all systems.
Analyze data & conduct video audits relating to Shrink & Cargo Loss across multiple buildings to mitigate risk.
Monitor parking lot areas to report unauthorized visitors/vehicles or unlawful activity to leadership.
Notify emergency personnel (police/fire) in the event of emergencies as appropriate.
Assist and support leadership team with safety, emergency crisis and evacuation drills and real events as needed.
Ensure regulatory compliance measures are being adhered to with associates and vendors that are entering the facility.
Manage and maintain safety training and regulatory compliance training documents.
Administer new hire safety training and annual refresher safety training.
Monitor all inbound and outbound trailer activity in the trailer yard.

What you’ll be doing:

As a warehouse associate you may work in one of the following six areas:

Warehouse Bulk/Material Handling Equipment Operator: You will be operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, or electric pallet jacks to pick product up to 100 lbs and move product within the warehouse while adhering to safety procedures. Not all work will be completed on Material handling equipment.

Warehouse Porter: You will be responsible for general cleaning and basic maintenance duties both inside and outside of the facility while adhering to safety procedures. You will be operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, or electric pallet jacks to move product within the warehouse while adhering to safety procedures. Not all work will be completed on Material handling equipment.

Warehouse Replenishment: You will be operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, or electric pallet jacks to pick product up to 100 lbs and move product within the warehouse while adhering to safety procedures. Not all work will be completed on Material handling equipment.

Warehouse Receiving/Putaway/Returns: You will confirm accuracy of product and work with colleagues to address discrepancies and damages. You will communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external contacts to clarify and resolve issues. You will be manually unloading trucks and palletizing products. You will be operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, or electric pallet jacks to move product within the warehouse while adhering to safety procedures. Not all work will be completed on Material handling equipment.

Warehouse Returns: You will be operating material handling equipment to move product within the warehouse. You will be matching item quantities and descriptions to packing slips on returned items, checking in returned product and tagging it appropriate. You will be operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, or electric pallet jacks to move product within the warehouse while adhering to safety procedures. Not all work will be completed on Material handling equipment.

Shipping: You’ll be responsible for organizing, stacking, and shrink-wrapping customer orders on pallets. You’ll be loading trucks manually; lifting, lowering, and carrying product in a fast-paced environment and stacking empty pallets while maintaining a safe and clean workspace as you go.

Please note, as an SC2 associate you may be moved into any of the above roles, or SC1 roles, as needed.

You will be essential to the success of Staples Supply Chain as we deliver to our customers.

Basic English language skills (both verbal and written communications).
If you are hired as a Full-Time associate, you must have the ability to work additional hours beyond scheduled shift; additional overtime hours will be required based on business need.
Ability to work at heights up to 60 feet or more as needed.
An ability to lift, push or pull boxes/merchandise weighing between 70 pounds and 100 pounds by hand.
Must wear safety composite shoes.
Ability to walk and stand 100% of the time.
You must be at least 18 years old.

What’s needed- Preferred Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
Prior experience?operating warehouse equipment, such as forklift, pallet jack and cherry picker helpful.
