DESCRIPTION
The leading Plaintiff law firm in San Diego County, Gruenberg Law Group (GLG) brings the firepower necessary to prevail against top corporate defense firms across the state. With recent verdicts ranging from $7M to $20M+, GLG continues to expand its team to serve more individuals seeking justice.
GLG is seeking a Senior Attorney to join our litigation team. This role is designed for an experienced trial attorney who wants greater autonomy, ownership over their cases, and the opportunity to do meaningful plaintiff-side work alongside a team that is deeply committed to results.
Our Senior Attorneys are trusted litigators who drive strategy, manage complex cases, and help mentor the next generation of trial lawyers within the firm. We are looking for someone with a strong litigation background who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment and is passionate about advocating for individuals harmed by discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wrongful conduct, and personal injury.
Gruenberg Law Group is a firm for fearless attorneys—lawyers who are determined to stand strong for individual rights and who approach litigation with urgency, discipline, and strategic thinking. Unlike many firms, we try cases. Our attorneys are expected to litigate aggressively, prepare every case as if it will go to trial, and deliver exceptional outcomes for our clients.
This role provides the opportunity to lead cases, shape litigation strategy, and work directly with firm leadership while building a highly successful plaintiff-side practice.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead litigation strategy on assigned cases from intake through trial or resolution.

- Manage discovery, including written discovery, document review, and depositions.
- Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
- Appear in court for hearings, case management conferences, and motion arguments.
- Lead mediation strategy and negotiate settlements.
- Prepare cases for trial, including working with experts, exhibits, and trial preparation.
- Provide strategic counseling and guidance to clients throughout the litigation process.
- Supervise and mentor associate attorneys and support staff.
- Maintain organized case files and ensure deadlines and litigation milestones are met.
- Collaborate with firm leadership to evaluate new cases and develop litigation strategies.
- Exhibit exceptional written and oral advocacy skills.
- Utilize case management systems to ensure accurate documentation, calendaring, and compliance with firm procedures and legal requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Active California Bar license (Required).
- 4+ years of litigation experience, preferably in employment law, personal injury, or complex plaintiff-side litigation.
- Demonstrated experience managing cases through litigation, including depositions and court appearances.
- Trial experience or meaningful trial preparation experience strongly preferred.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Strong case management and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a litigation team.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and desire to build and grow a successful plaintiff-side practice.
- Bilingual Spanish is a strong plus.
- In-person position in San Diego.
COMPENSATION + BENEFITS

- 10% of all fees generated on cases assigned by the firm.
- 25%-50% of all fees generated on cases personally brought to the firm (depending on years of experience).
- Opportunity to work alongside highly respected trial lawyers with nationally recognized verdicts.
- Significant opportunity for trial work and courtroom advocacy.

Family Law Attorney — Kicking Ass in Court and in Life
Most law firms will tell you they’re “fast-paced,” “professional,” and “client-focused.”
We’ll tell you the truth: we kick ass.
At Vicevich Law, we built a new kind of Montana law firm — one where great attorneys do high-level work without selling their souls to the billable-hour gods. We fight hard for our clients, we win, and then we go fishing, skiing, or horseback riding because life in Montana is too good not to enjoy it.
The Gig
We’re looking for a Family Law Attorney who’s equal parts strategist, problem-solver, and decent human being. You’ll handle family law cases across Montana. We work smart, use tech that actually helps, and back each other up.
You won’t be chained to a desk or a time sheet.
You’ll have autonomy, support, and the kind of balance most lawyers only dream about.
What You’ll Do
Client intake
Client counseling
Drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and proposals
Mediation/Arbitration
Hearings and Trials
Handle family law cases like the pro you are
Collaborate with financial advisors, accountants, and our team of legal badasses
Bring empathy, clarity, and confidence to every client interaction
What You Bring
JD + Montana Bar admission (or ability to get it)
Strong knowledge of family law
Excellent communication skills — you can explain complex things simply
A sense of humor, a work ethic, and a pulse (we like people who are alive)
Bonus points if you’ve ever caught a trout before court
The Perks
$120K salary with reasonable expectations or $80K + commission if you like controlling your own earnings
Paid time off + holidays
No arbitrary billable-hour quota
A team that values results, respect, and actual lives outside of work
Montana — where your money goes further and your weekends are better
Why Vicevich Law
Because we’re not here to play by the old rules.
We’ve ditched the warehouse firm model and built a place where great lawyers can do their best work and still make it home before sunset.
If your idea of a good law firm involves collaboration, excellence, humor, and yes — kicking ass for your clients — then you’ll fit right in here.

Law Clerk – Where Your Writing Gets Noticed
We're not going to tell you we're "dynamic" or that we're looking for a "rockstar." Here's the reality: we're a tight-knit firm of 3 attorneys (plus one stellar paralegal) who've built something different. Our clients range from scrappy $5M+ companies to billion-dollar entities, and they all have real problems that need smart solutions.
The Role: You'll do real legal work from day one. We do not have busywork that disappears into a void. Research that informs strategy. Drafting that goes into real filings. You'll see the inside of mediation, hearings, depositions, negotiations, and client meetings. If you think clerking means organizing binders, this isn't your place.
You Should Apply If:
- You're a current law student (1L or 2L)
- You made law review or have published work. We need proof you can write
- You can figure things out without someone holding your hand
- You want feedback and coaching (we give it freely and directly)
- You'd rather spend your summers doing real work than sitting through onboarding slideshows
The Details:
- Competitive hourly pay
- Remote works for the right candidate. South Florida proximity is a plus, but we care more about what you produce than where you produce it
- Flexible schedule that works around your classes or exam prep
- You'll work alongside attorneys who will push your writing and sharpen your thinking
- We believe weekends are for living, not billing
If you think legal writing is an art form and you want to learn how to practice law instead of observing it from a distance, then let's talk. Send your cover letter (make it interesting), resume, and a writing sample that shows us why words matter to you.
No recruiters. Seriously.
