Job Summary:

The National Service Manager will lead the service department for the machine tool division. Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Service Department, overseeing all service personnel and operations, including equipment installation, diagnostics, routine maintenance, repairs, and custom modifications.
  • Develop and administer Service Department processes, covering:
  • Service scheduling guidelines
  • Allocation and coordination of service personnel and resources nationwide
  • Recording and monitoring of assets in both internal databases and vendor platforms

  • Issuing non-conformance reports and supplier corrective action requests (CARs)

  • Conduct technical evaluation of incoming machine orders in partnership with the Director and Inside Sales team:

  • Communicate order particulars and timelines to Service Coordinators
  • Offer technical expertise to order processing personnel for machine tool and accessory quotations/orders.
  • Collaborate with machine tool manufacturers (and their sales/service teams) to optimize workflows and address any emerging concerns.
  • Assist the sales team with technical details during the pre-sale phase, gathering necessary information to confirm proper machine and option configurations for smooth installation and optimal customer outcomes.


Requirements

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in the machine tool industry (in areas such as service, sales, applications engineering, or direct technical/hands-on roles).
  • Previous supervisory or management experience within a service department (strongly preferred)
  • Practical, hands-on background working directly with machine tools.
  • Strong communication skills (customer facing and internally)
  • Fundamental understanding of machine tool control systems, electrical components, and mechanical principles.

Education:

Experience

  • Minimum seven to ten years’ experience in strategic sourcing/purchasing (preferably in the pharmaceutical industry), including the use of sourcing technologies (i.e. Coupa, Corcentric, etc) to develop and conduct RFIs and RFPs, with exposure and responsibility for various functional areas (supplier management, spend analytics, contracting, negotiating, bid management).
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in souring IT goods and services.

Sika is looking for a Technical Service Representative to join its growing team in the Kansas City, Missouri area. The TSR is responsible for monitoring the installation of Sika Sarnafil Roof Systems to ensure correct application procedures are followed. This is an outdoor position that requires extensive traveling to job sites. This individual performs warranty inspections and conducts training sessions for roofing contractor personnel. This position reports to the Regional Technical Manager.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Training of applicators to properly and efficiently install Sika Sarnafil roofing and waterproofing systems in an effort to ensure quality and contractor profitability. Provide training to others as needed.
  • Overseeing the application process by attending job starts and performing in-progress project visits to monitor and enforce proper installation. Assure that application is in accordance with good roofing practices and Sarnafil specifications through documentation with field reports. Help to resolve installation problems and issues as they arise.
  • Conducting final inspections for technical acceptance for warranty issuance.
  • Act as the liaison between the applicator, General contractor, consultant, architect, building owner, and Sarnafil during the installation process.
  • Advising Technical Manager concerning progress, issues, problems project needs.
  • Assist Sales and others with pre-job meetings, roof surveys, and warranty claim issues.
  • Following up on leak and warranty claim calls, and complete necessary Sarnafil repairs as needed.
  • Inspection of existing Sarnafil roofs for warranty transfers, warranty extensions, and annual inspections.

This exciting role combines the stability of a permanent position with the flexibility of a hybrid working model, allowing for a balance between office and remote work.

The successful candidate will be a key player in our organization, responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of our tax functions.

This role involves working with a diverse portfolio of clients, providing expert advice on financial accounting, corporate tax, tax accounting, tax returns, tax research, tax advisory, indirect taxation, international tax, C corp, passthrough, and real estate.

Responsibilities: 1.

Oversee and manage the preparation and review of corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns.

2.

Conduct complex tax research and planning in accordance with current legislation and ensure compliance with all tax regulations.

3.

Provide expert tax advisory services to clients, ensuring that they are informed and up-to-date on all relevant tax issues.

4.

Manage and mentor a team of tax professionals, fostering an environment of continuous learning and development.

5.

Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies and auditors.

6.

Stay abreast of changes in tax legislation and advise clients on the potential impact of these changes on their business operations.

7.

Manage the indirect taxation process, including VAT, sales tax, and other applicable taxes.

8.

Handle international tax matters, including transfer pricing and cross-border transactions.

9.

Oversee tax matters related to C corp, LLCs, and entities.

Qualifications: 1.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

A Master's degree or CPA designation is highly desirable.

2.

Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a tax role, with a focus on corporate tax, tax accounting, tax returns, tax research, and tax advisory.

3.

Proven experience with indirect taxation and international tax.

4.

Extensive knowledge of C corp, LLCs, and entities' tax matters.

5.

Exceptional leadership and team management skills.

6.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and stakeholders at all levels.

7.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

8.

Up-to-date knowledge of current tax legislation and regulations.

9.

Proficiency in tax software and other relevant computer applications.

10.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
