Job description
TruePani Inc., an environmental consulting and communications firm, is seeking an environmental sampling associate to join a passionate team tackling water quality projects focused on reducing lead in drinking water.
The position is a full-time, 10-week work experience during Summer 2026. College students are eligible for this position. Each day involves traveling to collect water samples at client sites (mostly schools and child care facilities). The role is based in Brownsville, Texas, and will include three weeks of work in Mission, TX during the last three weeks of the position. For candidates located outside of the area, relocation and a housing stipend will be provided. The position includes frequent travel and fieldwork.
We are accepting applications and conducting three rounds of interviews on a rolling basis throughout March and April. All offers will be provided by late-April 2026.
Key Details
- Compensation: $20 - $23 / hour, typically 40 hours per week
- Work days typically begin around 6:30 or 7 AM and conclude around 3 or 4 PM.Β A lunch break in the middle of the day is provided and there may be down time between traveling to sites.
- Location: Texas
- Start Date: May 28th, 2026 (For students)
- End Date: August 6th, 2026 (Flexible)
- Additional Details: The position requires walking around client sites, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Compensation is provided for travel time to client sites and mileage reimbursement. Potential for performance-based bonus. This position does not offer health insurance or retirement.
Responsibilities
The individual in this role will work with the larger project management team to:
- Collect water samples at client sites, mostly schools and child care facilities across the state of Texas
- Pack and ship water samples to laboratory
- Assist with project communications
- Collect information on a digital device while in the field
- Accurately collect site data and complete chain of custody forms
Successful individuals in this role are highly motivated and able to work both within teams and independently. Candidates should be able to anticipate work that needs to be completed. We will train the right person to collect facility water samples to be delivered to the lab for analysis in addition to maintaining a detailed sample log.
Required Qualifications
- Degree or pursuing degree in environmental science or a related field
- Proficient in Excel
In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire. Background checks will be required. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record for at least the last two years is required. High School Diploma or GED required. Experience in environmental testing (air, soil, or water) or college courses in Chemistry or Biology would be preferred.

Job Duties: Successful applicants will teach in CWP's Reading and Composition sequence or other CWP courses in writing, reading, and oral communication. The Department of Music at the University of California, Berkeley invites applications for a pool of qualified temporary, part-time instructors to teach a range of instruments for one-on-one and/or group instruction. Teachers of Special Programs are hired as needs arise during the fall, spring and/or summer.
The majority of Teachers Special Programs positions are part of our private instruction program. It is a directed program of study, open mostly to music majors, by audition, which includes opportunities for large and small music ensembles, and private instruction. The student's program will be worked out in consultation with the supervising faculty, who will assist in finding an appropriate private instructor. The components of the private instruction program include providing lessons in the following areas:
* Instrumental Performance
* Jazz Performance
* Vocal Performance
* Basic Voice
* Vocal Technique
* Basic Piano for intending and current music majors
* Beginning Piano for Non-Music Majors
* Advanced Beginning Piano for Non-Music Majors
Other courses Teachers Special Programs may serve:
* Chorus and/or Chamber Chorus
* Early Music Performance
* Songs and Song-Writing
* Various Musical Practices Performance - Non-Western Instruments
Further positions include instruction on non-Western instruments in our Ethnomusicology labs, such as Music of Japan, Music of East Asia, Music of the Caribbean, Music of Bali, etc.

Salary range:
The compensation model varies depending upon the course delivery format. For a synchronous Live Online course, a reasonable estimate for this position is $1,425 - $5,700 total per course. For an asynchronous Fixed Date Online course, this position is paid $170 - $180 per enrolled student and a reasonable estimate ranges from $1,020 - $7,200 total per course. For an asynchronous Start Anytime Online course, this position is paid $170 - $180 per final student course grade submitted each month; a reasonable estimate ranges from $2,720 - $18,000 total per course; and monthly payments typically begin within 6 months after the course start date. Instructor compensation is determined by course length, number of units, enrollment, budgetary considerations, and other factors.
Percent time:
Part-time by agreement on a course-by-course basis.

Some appointments may begin as early as the spring semester.

UC Berkeley Extension (UNEX), the continuing education branch of the University of California, Berkeley, has been building bridges between UC Berkeley and the public since 1891. General Duties
The department seeks candidates who can support the success of all students through inclusive curriculum, classroom environment, and pedagogy. Specific duties and expectations will vary depending on the method of instruction including: Synchronous Live Online (Zoom) or Asynchronous Online (Fixed Date or Start Anytime).
- For synchronous instruction (live online courses), duties include but are not limited to: syllabus development; assignment development; lesson planning for class meetings; preparing and submitting required texts and course materials; reviewing and updating Canvas course site; and delivering lectures, presentations, and learning activities for all required hours of instruction.
- For asynchronous instruction (fixed date or start anytime online courses), duties include but are not limited to: reviewing the syllabus and pre-populated online course content; learning and utilizing Canvas classroom management tools; and requesting any training needs from the Program Director or Department Director.
- For all instruction (regardless of course format) duties include but are not limited to: completing required trainings as mandated by the UC Presidential policies; responding to student questions and learning needs in a timely manner; grading student assignments and posting final student grades to the instructor portal in a timely manner; utilizing University-approved course support platforms including the Canvas Learning Management System, Zoom, Instructor Portal, Google Workspace, etc.; reviewing and following University and departmental policies, logistics, and other guidelines as published on the departmental Instructional Resource Site; and responding to other requests from the Program Director or Department Director in a timely manner.

Qualifications

Quad is seeking Part-time, Summer seasonal employees in the facilities department at our Sussex, Wisconsin plant. The starting wage for this position is $17/hour.
This seasonal position has diverse responsibilities which may include, but are not limited to:
* Grounds keeping - to include- raking, weed pulling, operating weed eater, rototiller, push mowing, picking up and trash and debris on grounds, emptying trash cans -
* Painting
