We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer Mule Vehicle Triage (E/E) to support our OEM customer in Novi, MI with troubleshooting, diagnostics, and issue resolution on Mule and early prototype vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

Nature & Scope:

Positional Overview

The Operations & Quality Lead Engineer will serve as the on-site technical leader supporting the launch of new OEM production operations in Dublin, GA, with local production scheduled to begin in early May.

This role is responsible for ensuring operational readiness, quality alignment, and process stability during startup. Acting as the primary technical liaison at the assigned manufacturing site, this individual will bridge Operations, Quality, and Engineering functions to support consistent execution, rapid issue resolution, and early-stage production success.

The selected hire will begin employment on April 1, participating in structured onboarding and site training at an established production facility in Washington or South Carolina prior to supporting the Dublin launch.

Standard working hours are expected to follow a Monday–Friday day shift schedule (approximately 6:00am–2:30pm or 7:00am–3:30pm), with flexibility for overtime during ramp-up periods.

This is a critical leadership role supporting production startup and long-term operational stability.

Tasks That Will Lead To Your Success

  • Serve as the primary Operations and Quality technical representative during production launch
  • Drive compliance with manufacturing, process, and quality standards
  • Support pre-production readiness and startup activities
  • Lead root cause investigations and corrective action implementation
  • Coordinate site-level quality processes including audits and nonconformance management
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve product, process, and supplier issues
  • Monitor and report operational and quality performance metrics
  • Ensure adherence to product specifications and inspection standards
  • Support implementation of process controls, FMEAs, and standardized work
  • Assist with product launch validation and stabilization
  • Act as liaison between site operations and corporate technical teams
  • Support outgoing quality processes and product audits
  • Identify opportunities for yield, efficiency, and process improvements
  • Travel as required to support training and launch readiness
  • Reports/Span of Control: 2 Quality Inspectors

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing operations or quality engineering
  • Experience leading root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Working knowledge of SPC, FMEA, control plans, and CAPA
  • Strong cross-functional coordination skills
  • Ability to work onsite in Dublin, GA
  • Willingness to travel for initial training in WA or SC
  • Ability to support launch timelines including potential overtime


Preferred Experience

  • Experience supporting manufacturing startup or ramp environments
  • Experience in highly automated manufacturing settings
