How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)
The Sr. Project Manager (PM) is expected to “own” each assigned project and protect its gross margin by closely monitoring material and labor costs and taking action to correct and report variances of these costs. This role is responsible for resolving project problems in a timely manner and maintaining project quality and adherence to schedule and budget. The PM closes out each project after ensuring the completion of all required work and documents, all submittals required to the customer, and the final payment. The PM communicates very effectively to ensure the satisfaction of both customers and internal resources. Interaction with organization is detailed within Standard Work Process Map (SWPM, “EVACI”)
What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)
- PM shall be engaged in the Proposal Phase
- Set up and lead the SPX cross-functional Project Team. Identify the project targets and address tasks to the Project Team members, monitor the activities
- First line of communication with customers and consortium partners
- Regular communication with major sub suppliers, field construction, and SPX internal departments to address issues related to past, current, and future topics. Set up meetings schedules and communication rules. (For example, this could include working with related groups, such as EH&S, on issues and resolution.)
- Contract management with interaction between all parties involved
- Financial responsibility to maintain target margin of project, forecast revenues with full visibility and costs associated with projects, incl. POC and progress, develop payment schedules (cash flow plan)
- Project time schedule management between engineering, construction, and supply chain resources
- Responsible for maintaining accuracy of Project Status Report and provide regular updates to management
- Document control and responsibility for the DCL Document Control List
- Change order and claims management

About this Position:
Lead and manage New Model project for new launches in North America through cross-functional coordination and cost roll-up of automotive parts sourced within Global and North American supply base, all which have significant impact on HDMA financial performance. Basic Qualifications:
- 7-10 years of experience in strategic management consulting with an established consulting firm
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; master's degree preferred
- Proven project management and client delivery experience, managing complex and strategic consulting engagements with multiple work streams
- Strong project and team leadership skills, including client and team management.
- Demonstrated success in developing and growing relationships and accounts, leading to account expansion and growth
- Ability to identify future success requirements for client organizations and craft ideas into new project opportunities
- Experience in proposal development and execution of account plans
- Strong quantitative and qualitative research and analysis skills
- Experience with project research, conducting executive-level interviews, and identifying data from primary and secondary sources
- Experience in facilitating small and large client meetings, senior executive off sites, etc.
- Practical understanding of consulting project financial metrics, budgeting, and forecasting
- Must reside in and be willing to commute regularly within the Washington, DC metropolitan area; less than 20% travel anticipated

As we expand our QSR and casual dining footprint, we’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the planning and execution of construction projects from concept to completion.

Position Summary
The Project Manager – QSR Construction is responsible for overseeing all phases of restaurant construction and remodeling projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, permitting, and on-site supervision. This role is essential for ensuring that every new build or remodel is delivered on time, within budget, and to brand standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of new construction and renovation projects for QSR and casual dining units.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
- Develop and maintain detailed project timelines, budgets, and scope documents.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Handle permit applications and interface with local building authorities and utility companies.
- Ensure all FF&E installations align with procurement and design specifications.
- Proactively identify risks, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to maintain project momentum.
- Track and report project status and KPIs to executive leadership on a regular basis.
- Travel regularly to project sites (approximately 30–40%).
Requirements
5+ years of experience in project management for QSR or casual dining construction.
Proven success delivering new builds and remodels across multiple geographies.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, permitting processes, and QSR operational requirements.
Experience managing external contractors, vendors, and design professionals.
Excellent time management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Familiarity with construction management software, project scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
PMP or equivalent project management certification a plus.
This position is responsible to lead and support a project construction team and oversee the management of assigned project direction, planning, completion, and financial outcome. The Project Manager is responsible for directing and mentoring on-site staff. The position requires business management acumen and must demonstrate strong leadership, organizational and time management skills, as well as have strong communication and team building skills. - Oversee the shop drawing, submittal, and construction coordination process
- Oversee performance of project including, project status, schedule, cost control, change management systems
- Maintain relationships designers, consultants, vendors, and subcontractors
- Attend and lead project meetings, including progress, pre-construction, and pre-award
- Impeccable attention to detailed documentation protocols
- Review inspection and test data for compliance with specifications
- Develop and maintain site logistics plan, in coordination with internal teams
- Oversee all site safety and compliance programs
QUALIFICATIONS
- Requires Engineering, Construction Management, or related bachelor’s degree, OR possess at least 5 years equivalent years of related experience
- Experience with Aviation or Healthcare projects a plus
- Strong project management skills to include scheduling, budgeting and resource coordination
- Expertise in quality control and quality assurance practices within the industry
- Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards
- Ability to determine the priority of assignments based on critical deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills essential both within the internal project team and externally with subcontractors, and key stakeholders
- Ability to meet deadlines and work in a structured corporate environment
- Is self-motivated and can work independently with minimal supervision. Also requires high degree of ethics and integrity
- Excellent time management skills, ability to react and shift priorities simultaneously to meet deadlines
