The Production Operator is responsible for setting up, loading and operating production machines, and making necessary adjustments to ensure the quality of the product meets required specifications. The Production Operator may work in one of three areas - Spooling, Stranding or Closing, and is responsible for his/her own safety and the safety of those around the machines. The Production Operator works under the direct supervision of a Production Supervisor and the technical oversight of the Process Engineering and Quality department.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Record set-up information at the start of each order.
- Remove empty bobbins from the previously completed order and load full bundles of wire or bobbins using appropriate lifting devices.
- Weld or knot new wire new supply to trailing end of previous order (if applicable).
- Thread machine by pulling wire or strands through guides, tension rollers, and/or stranding or pre-forming heads.
- Secure, install and adjust the proper dies, stranding/pre-forming head, crushing rollers, post-former and carboloy rings as required by the order.
- Set the proper lay according to order specifications.
- Adjust tension and die pressure at the beginning of the order and as required throughout the entire order.
- Start lube pump as required by the order.
- Inspect and replace tensioning devices as needed.
- Inspect the set-change, including cutting a strand for helix-height measurement before requesting approval from the production supervisor.
- Properly tag product, stage in proper storage area, and record all production.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Perform all job duties in accordance with work instructions and quality standards.

How You'll Contribute:
The main role of the Video Production Specialist I will be to help manage various video projects, assisting other Production Specialists or Webcast directors on behalf of a client to ensure project delivery, coordination of the production, video project details from concept/creation through completion via Multimedia editors, Field Production, Creative Director, and Distribution Support Team.
What You'll Do:
- The Production Specialist I will be the liaison between the Production Specialist II or Account Specialist client and the creative department.
- Must thrive in a team environment. The role is responsible for providing the team a timeline based on the project requirements. The Production Specialist I may also need to set timeline expectations with the team based on team capacity.
- Will track status of project, reinforce timelines and maintain client expectation set; a main focus will be to keep team members on task based on identified timelines for completion.
- Identify high priority projects and work to integrate priority to satisfy client requests.
- Has the ability to research or request research from team members in support of client project for background, and development of storyboards and scripts.
- Skilled in creative writing and copy development for digital, print, and video content.
- Have a great working relationship with clients; update them proactively on projects.
- Know where and how to get a video project completed; have a complete understanding of work processes, and work within the process to complete projects on time.
- Initiate and request resources through the scheduling process to ensure appropriate resources are retained for all aspects of client production projects. To include coordinating client requests and production crew schedules; in house and freelance, through appropriate scheduling channels.
- Has the ability to efficiently log video footage, search for footage and photos for projects, and search for in-house voice over talent as well as outside talent for freelance positions.
- Provide complete estimates, budgeting information and maintain client communications and approvals for all projects.
- Will also act as a production assistant, teleprompter operator, floor director, and other related crew members of productions as scheduled and required.

The Production Packaging Supervisor - 3rd Shift leads and coordinates the activities of their shift to realize production targets. What we're looking for:

About the Role
We are seeking a Sr. Production Control & Material Operations Manager to lead the coordination, movement, and control of materials throughout a high volume manufacturing facility in the Warsaw, IN area. The successful candidate in this role will oversee production scheduling support, inventory management, inbound material flow, internal logistics, and service parts operations.
The ideal candidate is a hands on leader who thrives in fast moving environments, maintains strong process discipline, and ensures that materials consistently support production requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day to day material operations, including inventory accuracy, kitting, lineside delivery, warehouse coordination, and service parts fulfillment.
- Lead and develop material operations staff, 3PL partners, and service parts team members while promoting accountability and continuous improvement.
- Ensure all material handling and logistics processes follow safety, quality, and compliance standards.
- Partner with production planning and engineering groups to ensure layouts, equipment, and processes support efficient material flow and throughput.
- Provide timely feedback to planning teams regarding material availability, supplier performance, and schedule impacts.
- Work closely with logistics, receiving, and suppliers to resolve shortages, delays, and discrepancies before they affect production.
- Facilitate daily tier meetings and drive prompt issue resolution to support production stability and takt adherence.
- Maintain BOM accuracy, support incoming inspection activities, and oversee incorporation of engineering changes affecting material flow.
- Collaborate with IT and planning teams to uphold ERP/MRP data integrity and ensure reliable communication between warehouse and shop floor systems.
- Monitor and optimize KPIs such as inventory accuracy, dock to stock time, line shortages, cycle counts, and material handling efficiency.
- Lead material flow improvements, strengthen inventory control practices, and support plant wide continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in manufacturing, automotive operations, production control, or materials management.
- Strong working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, FUUZ, or similar) and MES integration.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in fast paced production environments.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem solving abilities.
- Experience with lean manufacturing, JIT, Kanban, and process improvement.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 or comparable quality management systems.

The Opportunity
The Corrugator Supervisor will be responsible for managing the Corrugator department employees in order to meet manufacturing and production schedules, coordinating production operations and maintaining effective quality procedures and safety regulations for the facility.
This position is located onsite at the Humboldt, TN corrugated container facility for 2nd shift schedule.
How You Will Impact Smurfit Westrock
* Manage the day-to-day operations of the shift with constant emphasis on safety, quality, delivery and cost
* Acts as first point of contact for operators regarding mechanical failure or production issues
* Support continuous improvement initiatives and enforce control procedures, recommending improvements to the Plant Superintendent, as appropriate
* Coordinates production activities with other departments to ensure production goals/objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner
* Monitor production activities to eliminate waste and ensure adherence to production and shipping schedules
* Input production data accurately into system to measure and monitor KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) around efficiencies, downtime, inventory and overall production
* Provide recommendations to improve safety, environmental and health of the entire facility
* Produce daily reports on daily shift production and daily shift review to assess if daily goals are met
* Control load factors and workflow to ensure maximum use of available capacity and effective use of labor, tools and equipment.
* Manage and coach employees, providing performance reviews and enforcing disciplinary actions.
* Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training employees, and developing individual growth opportunities.
* Directs maintenance employees to troubleshoot mechanical problems and perform preventative maintenance.
* Enforce adherence to plant safety regulations and encourage employees to become safety- conscious.
* Ensure daily that plant personnel follow all company standards and meet all customer commitments.
What You Need To Succeed
* High School diploma or G.E.D. - Required
* Bachelor's degree (Business Management, Engineering or Operations Management) - Preferred
* 3+ years of corrugator supervisory experience in a packaging facility - Required.
* Experience working in a Lean environment; Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification.
* Proven experience in operations, manufacturing, or supply chain
* Excellent communication and listening skills.
* Proven track record of effective problem-solving
* Ability to embrace continuous improvement.
* Strong collaboration and teaming skills with stakeholders across functions
* Ability to coach and train employees
* Ability to be an on-shift resource for troubleshooting problems in the process as well as maintenance issues.
