PURPOSE AND SCOPE

Supervises and coordinates the work for employees on assembly lines or welding lines. Maintain pre-established production levels. Assure compliance with approved methods and procedures. Resolves production scheduling issues.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

We are seeking an energetic individual to fulfill the role of Production Foreperson. This is a full time position with potential for career advancement located at our Owego, New York facility - V&S New York Galvanizing LLC.

Responsibilities:

• Drive our culture of safety
• Operate and Maintain a safe and welcoming workplace

• Supervise workstations for quality, safety and piece count accuracy
• Responsible for reporting injuries to Plant Manager
• Interface daily with production, maintenance, quality assurance and shipping & receiving
• Coordinates plant schedules through planning to ensure the total production objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost effective manner, as directed by the Plant Manager
• Establishes and monitors overall plant performance for production and quality standards
• Collect and review data to reduce inefficiencies and waste
• Ensure that plant operates safely and in compliance with all company and federal/state codes and regulations, with the supervision and assistance of both the Operations and Plant Manager
• Assist in the recruitment, training, and on boarding of new employees
• Evaluate employees and give suggestions for improvement
• Other duties as directed by Plant Manager

Requirements:

• Minimum of three (3) years of similar, relevant supervisory experience
• Knowledge of the steel industry or protective industrial coatings a PLUS
• Willingness to learn our industry
• Ability to work/manage in a fast-paced environment
• Bi-Lingual (Spanish/Portuguese) a PLUS

Shift Timing: Tuesday – Saturday (8:30 AM – 4:30 PM)

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Production Planner to support end-to-end plant scheduling in a fast-paced, high-impact manufacturing environment. This role requires strong planning expertise, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and accountability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute detailed production schedules aligned with demand and capacity.
• Coordinate daily planning priorities across Supply Chain, QA, QC, Warehouse, Production, Engineering, and Facilities.
• Monitor schedule adherence and proactively resolve material or capacity constraints.
• Manage media inventory to ensure accuracy and minimize waste.
• Analyze planning variances and drive corrective actions to improve performance.
• Support GMP compliance and adherence to planning processes and SOPs.
• Provide clear communication and updates on risks, capacity, and performance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Operations, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of production or supply planning experience (GMP/pharmaceutical experience preferred).
• Strong Excel skills required (VBA coding preferred and Macro creation preferred); experience with SAP/S4Hana systems.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
• Strong accountability, reliability, and a positive, solution-oriented mindset.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence cross-functional teams.
