Responsibilities:

  • The process technician level II will have a primary focus on plant logistic support. With this, the incumbent will have to come to our site and learn about our state-of-the-art glass making process and then assist us in creating routings for our process.
  • This includes entering production information into our facility data system and maintaining other data sources as required.
  • This position will involve the transportation of parts (making sure the parts are in the right location and move throughout the plant as planned).
  • This will include making sure we have all the supplies needed to handle and move the parts within the plant and to our suppliers.
  • Also this position will work with many engineers and scientists to understand the new product flows throughout the plant so they can develop the new routes in our production system.

Position Overview: The Production Technician is responsible for a wide range of skills including: wire, assemble, fit and mount sub-assemblies, components, and standard fixed assemblies in electrical control equipment.

Essential Functions: In this role, you will: Assemble panelboards and/or switchboards to customer specification based on electrical drawings, manufacturing schematics, and work instructions with the use of hand and power tools.

Inspect and test finished products to maintain quality standards and ensure conformance with specifications and codes.

Use various tools, such as wire strippers and plyers to perform the electrical wiring assembly of panelboards and/or switchboards.

Maintain expected progress of jobs in the area of assignment and communicate problem areas or part shortages.

Receive and put away material; prepare finished products for shipment.

Perform Lean Initiatives by recommending suggestions for improvement related to quality, work processes, and environmental safety and health.

Basic Qualifications: Minimum one year of experience in an assembly related role with the use of hand and/or power tools (experience in automotive repairs, construction, carpentry, or other assembly type environments will be considered).

Preferred Qualifications: High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.

CNC bus fabrication, press brake, or related experience.

Experience with wiring diagrams, schematics, and power flow to install correct wires.

Experience with measuring tools, torque tolerance, and hardware assembly.

Experience using various tools including: manual/electric tools, drill press, press brake, fork truck, jib crane, template/fixtures, hand carts, tape measure, storage/packaging materials and prescribed safety equipment.

We are looking to fill multiple Production Engineering Manager positions with qualified and motivated candidates passionate about leading Boeing into the future.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead teams responsible for the development, sustainment, and continuous improvement of the production system. Elements include but are not limited to: process engineering, manufacturing support, build plan development and oversight, technical management of suppliers, and introducing new technology.

  • Lead special projects supporting key company priorities. Projects may include but are not limited to: stabilize and improve efficiency of the production system, enable rate increases on our production lines, and manage incorporation of product and process changes into the production system.

  • Oversee technical management of suppliers in the design, sourcing, and implementation of new or improve build processes throughout the production system value stream.

  • Develop and maintain partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, business partners and direct reports. Leverage network to seek broad input on key projects and initiatives.

  • Manage, develop, and motivate employees to achieve their best both individually and as a team

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement

  • 3+ years of experience in a professional engineering role
     

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience working in a production environment

  • 3 + years of experience with production systems design

  • Experience leading or managing teams

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams

  • Experience with build plan development and deployment

  • Experience with electrical or systems commodity

  • ABET accredited Engineering degree
