Summary

The DISO Access Control Specialist plays a key role within the Business Risk Organization, supporting day-to-day Access Management and Cyber/Information Security operations. Requirements

DISO Access Control Specialist will:
- Execute daily Access Management and Cyber/Information Security tasks, including reviewing and approving entitlement requests. 
- Review and assess exceptions and risks across domains such as Internet access, Client Data, and critical business applications. 
- Manage internet user access exceptions, reviewing requests for appropriateness and compliance. 
- Oversee the creation, modification, and retirement of entitlements. 
- Support line managers, role owners, and application owners in the ongoing maintenance of user entitlements.
- Navigate Access Management tools, including enhancements and stability updates based on control requirements and business changes. 
- Maintain shared drives, SharePoint sites, documentation, and operational materials for various initiatives.
- Maintain procedures and ensure relevant pages and resources remain current. 
- Manage project plans and schedules related to third-party entitlements, ensuring alignment with overall strategy. 
- Reconcile third-party access rights and track entitlement processes as needed.
- Create and maintain metrics and reporting that support ongoing access management and risk monitoring.

This Application Architect is responsible for supporting the implementation of UHS Radiology & Cardiology Information Systems and related applications across 26+ acute care hospitals. The role includes addressing maintenance issues, enhancement requests, modifying applications, providing technical support, and coordinating tasks to meet deadlines. Key responsibilities involve overseeing system conversions and implementations. The incumbent will collaborate with IS, clinical operations, facility resources, and vendors to deploy, maintain, and support radiology and cardiology applications. Responsibilities also include ensuring the integrity and reliability of all radiology and cardiology systems, developing plans, maintaining documentation, updating stakeholders, and assisting IT teams with product/tool selection. Additionally, the role includes serving as a technical consultant, leading special projects and strategic initiatives to optimize technology use in imaging, thus enhancing efficiency and achieving institutional goals. The position also requires the development and design of data collection and retrieval methods for clinical, technical, and managerial purposes. Key Responsibilities include:


System Implementation:

  • Regularly meets with users, vendors, stakeholders, consultant and IS staff to develop/modify system specifications.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Five years of experience in a clinical or healthcare environment supporting Cardiology and Radiology Information Systems. Proven track record in implementing and maintaining Radiology/Cardiology Information Systems; experience with Cerner RadNet, Cerner Cardiovascular Imaging Management and Cerner ECG Management, is preferred. Experience with PACS or Enterprise Imaging systems is also highly desirable.
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of Radiology / Cardiology information systems such as, Cerner RadNet, Cerner ECG Management, Cerner Cardiovascular Imaging Management applications and systems in a centralized environment.
  • Knowledge of clinical workflows from a technologist, radiologist, or resident perspective. Knowledge of medical and imaging industry standards such as HL7 and DICOM standards.
