Job Description:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) performs a variety of delegated nursing tasks and participates in patient care within their Scope of Practice, guided by registered nurses, licensed physicians, or other specified health care professionals.Within the Oncology unit, the Oncology LPN will specialize in providing high quality care to patients with cancer, assisting with palliative care and chemo administration.
Shift Details:Rotating Days and Nights/ 12-Hour Shift
Unit Specific Information:
32 bed unit with 1 radiation room
Utilize mentor/team nursing to provide resources for new grads and new hires
Patient Demographic: Care for med surge patients that include CHF, diabetes, cellulitis, PNA, respiratory illnesses, and much more.
We specialize in oncology and palliative care providing high quality care and chemo administration
We foster and promote teamwork and respect among peers
Our unit strives to help new hires develop a strong med surg foundation and grow in their nursing practice.
Essential Functions
- Assists with admission and check-in process, including orienting patients and completing necessary forms.
- Prepares and administers medications within the scope of practice, and assists with patient activities of daily living, preparing them for medical or surgical interventions.
- Obtains and tracks specimens for laboratory analysis, and documents patient care, interventions, updating care plans accurately and timely.
- Communicates with supervisory RN, physicians, or licensed independent practitioners regarding patient care and changes in condition, and participates in patient education about health status, maintenance, and management of conditions.
- Follows legal and ethical standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, accurate documentation, and participates in quality improvement projects and initiatives, acting as a mentor or trainer to other staff if required.

Minimum Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in state of practice.
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HCP) certification upon hire OR obtained within 60 days of hire with prior approval. Advanced Care Life Support (ACLS) is required if applicable to unit.
- May need IV certification as required by facility. Colorado sites: Current IV Certification or obtain IV Certification in the State of practice within three (3) months of hire.
- Montana sites: Completion of in-house education and competency sign-off within three (3) months of hire.
- LPNs hired into hospital departments that do not include a long-term care or behavioral health setting must be enrolled and complete their RN within 4 years.
Preferred Qualifications
- One (1) year experience in a clinic or acute hospital nursing setting preferred.
- One (1) year specialty clinic experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
- Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.
- Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.
- Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc.)
- May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
- For roles requiring driving: Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles.

SPECIAL OPERATIONS CORPSMAN: CAREER DETAILS & REQUIREMENTS
Responsibilities
Those in the Hospital Corpsman Advanced Technical Field go beyond the duties of basic Hospital Corpsman, working in austere and challenging environments while saving lives. Each of the three classifications has its own responsibilities:
Special Operations Independent Duty Corpsman (SOIDC)
- Provide advanced medical care and operational services for Marine Reconnaissance, USMC Special Operations Forces and Navy Special Operations Command personnel, like SWCC and SEALs
- Engage as a team member in direct action, special reconnaissance, foreign internal defense and unconventional warfare
Search and Rescue Medical Technician (SMT)
- Rescue patients and deliver emergency care from the back of a helicopter
- Perform aircrew duties and En Route Care (ERC) for routine illness and emergent patients
- Provide relief and assistance in areas ravaged by catastrophic natural disasters
- Support Search and Rescue (SAR), tactical evacuation (TECEVAC), Medical Evacuation (MEDEVAC), casualty evacuation (CASEVAC) and Combat Search & Rescue (CSAR) for Navy and Marine Corps Aviation
Deep Sea Diving Medical Technician (DMT)
- Provide basic medicine and assist medics in prevention and treatment of diving related illnesses, injuries associated with deep sea diving and hyperbaric conditions
- Operate, test and repair all Navy diving equipment
- Perform underwater inspections, harbor/port/ship security inspections, conduct ordnance searches, rescue personnel, engage in special warfare and small boat operations
- Operate Swimmer Delivery Vehicle Dry-Deck Shelter system and submarine Lock-in/Lock-out systems
Work Environment
As a Hospital Corpsman, you have the most diverse range of work environments in the Navy. Your job will likely take you all over the world-and far out of your comfort zone. If you choose to go the Hospital Corpsman Advanced Technical Field route, you will work in extreme and sometimes precarious conditions. From deep-sea diving to combat missions to flying in MH-60 Romeo helicopters, you will train outside the realm of conventional military forces to prepare for any mission. You may work independent of a physician or under supervision in this program.
Training & Advancement
Upon completion of initial training at Recruit Training Command Great Lakes (known as Boot Camp), you'll report for specialized training including:
Hospital Corps A School (19 weeks) in San Antonio, Texas for training on basic principles and techniques of patient care and first aid procedures.
After A School, HM-ATF candidates track to one of three advanced training paths:
- Special Operations Independent Duty Corpsman Pipeline (121 weeks)
Areas of training include but are not limited to basic reconnaissance, airborne operations, combatant diving, demolitions, clinical diagnostics, advanced trauma skills, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), basic surgical anesthesia, basic veterinary medicine and basic dental exams. - Search and Rescue Medical Tech Pipeline (27 weeks)
Areas of training include but are not limited to advanced fluid resuscitation, administration and management of Advanced Life Support medications, use of emergency medical equipment, rescue and recovery devices and patient handling. - Medical Deep Sea Diving Tech Pipeline (28 weeks)
Areas of training include but are not limited to diving physics, scuba and surface-supplied air diving, recognition and treatment of diving related illnesses.
After completing your pipeline, you'll receive your first assignment. You'll go wherever you're needed, which can be anywhere in the world. Automatic promotion opportunities are available but are competitive and based on completion of pipeline.

Responsibilities :

Position Summary
The RCM Client Billing Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the client daily billing operations, support denial management strategy, drive accountability across billing workflow within the Revenue Cycle Management department. The HOA Billing Coordinator plays a critical role in managing the financial operations of a fast-paced homeowners association law practice. This position is responsible for overseeing client billing, accounts receivable, and responding to client billing questions and requests.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Billing Management
Process a high volume of attorney invoices, including βon-demandβ invoices, to clients monthly for multiple HOA clients
- Execute complex invoices, such as multiple discounts by matter and split party billing
- Review draft invoices for attorney and paralegal time entries for accuracy, completeness, and proper coding statements including legal fees, costs, and expenses
- Review and edit pre-bills in response to attorney and legal administrative assistant requests
- Ensure compliance with client-specific billing requirements and guidelines
- Process write-offs, adjustments, and billing corrections as authorized
- Assist in resolving issues related to submitted invoices
Accounts Receivable
- Monitor outstanding receivables and aging reports for all client accounts
- Conduct regular follow-up on overdue accounts through phone calls and correspondence

Client Relations
- Serve as a contact for client billing inquiries and disputes

Our Hemophilia Treatment Center is seeking a Billing Manager for Pediatric Hemostasis and Thrombosis program. The Billing Manager is responsible for ensuring that the highest quality revenue cycle processes are in place and followed to maximize reimbursements in a timely and efficient manner.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for maximizing fee reimbursement and collection. This includes all aspects of the revenue cycle requirements and protocols required to bill for fees for service.
- Resolve daily revenue cycle edits and issues delaying insurance payments
- Oversee the pre-certification and insurance verification functions for the entire department
- Assist with interview/training/evaluating and discipling administrative staff
- Oversee front end registration function to ensure proper information is collected for billing requirements. Assist with ensuring compliance with front end policies and procedures
- Interface with professional services revenue cycle manager to coordinate improvements and efficiencies to the revenue cycle.
- Contribute and oversee administrative staff compliance with policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree.
- 4-6 years of hospital billing experience.
- Coding, EPIC software, MS-OFFICE.
- Knowledge of CPT and ICD10 billing codes.
- Knowledge of EPIC Billing/Front End Registration Software Modules.
- Knowledge of health insurance billing protocols and requirements.
- Specialized knowledge of hemophilia and 340B programs preferred.
Location: Bronx, NY
Work Schedule: MON-FRI, 8:30 AM-5 PM
Salary Range: $72,000.00-$90,000.00 (Grant Funded)
