  • JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE



    • Assists with the administrative functions of the Pharmacy department including scheduling, presentation preparation, special project management, correspondence and communication facilitation. Fills in as a pharmacy technician as needed.




  • DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION




    • Pharmacy Administration provides leadership and direction to the various pharmacy departments and programs at SHS. These include inpatient and outpatient pharmacies, Medication Management and pharmacy residency programs as well as 340B operations. We are staffed with seasoned pharmacists and technicians who help optimize pharmaceutical care throughout our SHS service area.




  • EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS



    • High school diploma or equivalent required.


    • One (1) of the following required:




      • Oregon Pharmacy Technician license required.  Oregon Certified Pharmacy Technician license required within two (2) years of hire.


      • Currently enrolled first year PharmD student in good standing with an accredited pharmacy school and current unencumbered Oregon Board of Pharmacy Intern license.




    • Successful completion of Medical Pharmacy Technician course preferred.



    • All job offers are contingent upon the candidate passing a pre-employment/post offer drug screen.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work with the Supermarket team including Pharmacy District Leader, Corporate Pharmacy team, Store Leader and Regional Business Leader to ensure that maximum efficiency and profitability are achieved.
  • Supervise, coordinate and oversee selection, training, development, performance, recognition and empowerment of staff to ensure continuous engagement of team members and improvement of
    department services.
  • Maintain a neat and sterile work environment to comply with all company, local, state and federal government requirements.
  • Review and analyze all appropriate service and business metrics and contribute to action plans to improve outcomes.
  • Complete all required audits and paperwork
  • Provide direct supervision, including coaching and feedback to all team members, as appropriate, following proper guidelines.
