Inizio Engage is seeking a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to lead and oversee the operations of a non-dispensing commercial pharmacy supporting Inizo’s HUB services solution. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring full regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and clinical integrity across pharmacy-related program services.
As PIC, you will serve as the designated pharmacist responsible for compliance with all applicable state and federal pharmacy regulations, oversight of pharmacy-related workflows, and direct engagement with clients to support program implementation, performance, and quality standards.
This role includes close coordination and partnership with Inizio’s Non-Dispensing Pharmacy and Patient HUB services, client stakeholders, and cross-functional teams. This is a highly visible leadership position requiring strong regulatory expertise, operational oversight, and the ability to collaborate in a dynamic, client-facing environment.
Location Requirement: Candidates must reside within the Louisville, KY metropolitan area. This is an onsite position, Monday through Friday.
Licensure Requirement: Active, unrestricted pharmacist licenses in both Kentucky and California are required.

What will you be doing?
- Serve as the designated Pharmacist in Charge for the non-dispensing commercial pharmacy, ensuring compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations.
- Maintain accountability for pharmacy licensure, regulatory inspections, audits, policies, procedures, and recordkeeping requirements.
- Oversee pharmacy-related HUB services, ensuring adherence to established business rules, clinical standards, and client program requirements.
- Partner with HUB leadership to ensure program performance meets or exceeds established Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and quality metrics.
- Coordinate closely with patient HUB teams to ensure accurate prescription intake, benefits verification alignment, clinical review workflows, and compliant case documentation.
- Serve as a pharmacy subject matter expert in client meetings, audits, business reviews, and implementation discussions.
- Provide consultative support to prescribers, patients, caregivers, and internal teams as appropriate within a non-dispensing model.
- Oversee pharmacy staff and technician activities, ensuring appropriate supervision, workflow integrity, and regulatory adherence.
- Ensure appropriate documentation, reporting, quality assurance, and security protocols are consistently followed.
- Lead continuous quality improvement initiatives and maintain readiness for board of pharmacy inspections and client audits.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient and program information in accordance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards.
- Support business growth initiatives, including licensing in additional states as required.
What do you need for this position?
- B.S. Pharm or PharmD from an accredited school of pharmacy
- Minimum 5+ years of pharmacy experience, including leadership and regulatory oversight responsibilities
- Prior experience as Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) or comparable pharmacy leadership role strongly preferred
- Active, unrestricted pharmacist licenses in both Kentucky and California (required)
- Additional state pharmacist licenses strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of multi-state pharmacy regulations, non-dispensing pharmacy requirements, and compliance frameworks
- Experience supporting specialty pharmacy, HUB services, or commercial pharmaceutical programs preferred
- Demonstrated experience interacting with clients and participating in audits or business reviews
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work onsite in the Louisville, KY metropolitan area
- Ability to obtain additional state licensure as directed by the business

Summary:

Job Responsibilities
- Execute Medication Therapy Management for the company through competency in MTM platforms.

The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for assisting with the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state and federal regulations. The incumbent is responsible for using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions. - Reports, immediately, prescription error to the Pharmacist and adheres to company policies and procedures in regard to pharmacy errors and quality improvement.
- Follows all applicable government regulations including HIPAA, Medicare and Co-pay requirements.
- Engages patients by offering assistance, resolving issues and answering questions to ensure a positive patient experience.
- Responsible and accountable for registering all related sales on assigned cash register, collects and handles cash as required.
- Directs and assists team members as needed to maintain workflow and meet/ complete deadlines as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager or Pharmacist on duty.
- Processes claims for 3rd party reimbursement efficiently and correctly to third-party insurance providers to obtain payment.
- Earns and maintains certification and licensure as required per state regulations. Attends training and completes as requested by the Pharmacy Manager and acquires continuing education credits.
- Maintains knowledge and skill in healthcare and pharmacy.
- Performs other duties as assigned and modified at manager’s discretion.

- Works as part of the system pharmacy leadership team to formulate ideas, analyze problems, develops solutions, budget and planning of operational activities.
- Establishes effective working relationships and maintains open lines of communication with medical staff. Maintains collaborative and cooperative communication and working relationships with all hospital staff to ensure effective operations.
- Confers with information systems to develop computer programs for pharmacy information management systems, patient and department charge systems, and inventory control.
- Participates on Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, Safety Committee, Information Systems Committee, Patient Medication Safety Committee, Nursing/Pharmacy Committee plus others as directed by the director of pharmacy.
- Performs human resource responsibilities for staff which include interviewing and selection of new partners, promotions, staff development, performance evaluations, compensation changes, resolution of partner concerns, corrective actions, terminations and overall partner morale
- Ensures all pharmacy operation areas meet productivity, budgetary, partner engagement, and patient outcome targets and standards by continually monitoring and adjusting plans as needed.

The Pharmacy Technician performs department administrative functions that do not require the Pharmacy Managers judgment. Responsible for the administrative and clerical support directly involved with the day-to-day operations of the multiple programs performed by the department. Performs assigned tasks to meet AHP HMO and Pharmacy Department goals.
General Duties/Responsibilities
- Assists with the daily operations of the various Pharmacy Department programs, multiple projects and participate in Plan and regulatory agency audits, as necessary.
- Makes high volume of outbound calls to members, prescribers, and pharmacies in regard to the Adherence program.
- Assists members in refilling their medications and reaching out to the prescriber’s office if a member requires additional refills on their maintenance medications.
- Drafts routine reports and correspondence.
- Supports all CMS required oversight processes of PBM including but not limited to: Rebates, Explanation of Benefit reports, Transition Reports, and Part B vs Part D.
- Responds to inquiries from physicians, members, and pharmacies related to formulary and prescription benefits.
- Retrieves accurate, concise, applicable, and timely drug information.
- Interacts with Plan's contracted PBM to ensure communications and information to other internal Plan departments as applicable.
- Interacts with Plan’s contracted PBM in regard to Prior Authorizations, Overrides and in resolving issues pertaining to member’s medications.
- Makes outbound calls to pharmacies and prescribers to resolve prescription issues such as medication requires Prior Authorization, assist retail/mail order pharmacies in resolving third party rejections, and reviewing daily rejections while ensuring we are CMS compliant.
- Interacts with internal plan departments to address pharmacy related issues.
- Works closely with compliance department to make sure Pharmacy Programs meet the criteria established by CMS.
- Ensures all HMO’s members information is kept confidential according to HIPAA.

As a Pharmacy Supervisor you will:
- Provide direction supervision of IV Admixture Service Lab by guiding daily work activities, performing evaluations, and ensuring adherence to departmental standards, organizational policies, and regulatory standards.
- Supervise a team of pharmacy technicians and pharmacists to ensure timely and safe service delivery, providing leadership to departmental caregivers
- Serve as the inpatient lead and point of contact for the operational implementation of IV admixtures participating on teams focused on program development, policy review, performance improvement initiatives, planning and service coordination, medication availability optimization, etc.
- Maintain USP 797 and USP 800 qualifications to assist in Newark Campus IV Admixture Services and OR pharmacy and ability to assume responsibility of all satellite pharmacies.
- Work collaboratively with campus leadership to ensure continuity of care
- Assist in hiring, onboarding, and training efforts for new pharmacy caregivers
- Review and interpret provider orders and dispense medication
- Assumes duties of subordinates as circumstances require
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy or PharmD degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy required
- ASHP-accredited pharmacy residency preferred
- At least three years hospital pharmacy experience
