Trek Store Okemos
As Service Manager, you'll be the operations lead for your store's Service Centerand you'll be the one who's ultimately accountable for all decisions relating to workflow, staffing of mechanics, and KPIs to ensure every customer has the best experience.
You'll be the primary service advisor at the shop, integrating the sales and service experience, while holding your team accountable for delivering Trek's signature hospitality. That means you'll need to be a great communicator and leader who knows how to get the best out of your colleagues.
You'll train your team, engage with customers to recommend the right service at the right time, manage and control service costs, keep service orders organized, ensure a clean and efficient department and take an active lead in ensuring the right bikes are built and delivered to the sales floor and your customers. Excellent communication skills are a must, as you will manage all communication from the Service Department to customers and write more than 50% of the work orders for the shop.
This role is right for someone with high energy and a constant learning engine who can see the forest and the trees. You'll be challenged to develop your employees, find efficiencies by reviewing service reports, and anticipate your shop's needs so both the service and sales teams are set up for success.

Under the direction of the Operations Manager, assist in the maintenance and repair of the camp's buildings, grounds, equipment and other facilities consistent with the mission and established policies and procedures of the camp.
Maintenance workers mainly working in minor repairs, facility care, landscaping, set-ups for our guest groups, clean up from our guest groups, etc. They also help in both the housekeeping dept. and guest service dept. as the need is there.
- Maintenance related tasks as directed by the Operations Manager, including but not limited to the following:
- Trash Runs, Clean and Set-up rooms, Move furniture & sound equipment.
- Mop Floors, Clean bathrooms, unclog Toilets.
- Build Campfires, clean campfire pit, cut and stack Firewood
- Landscaping mowing lawns, leaf blowing, weed whacking, sprinkler repairs, tree trimming, etc.
- Minor repairs plumbing, building, equipment, facilities, etc
- Operate some equipment such as mower and wood splitter, in safe and efficient manner.
- At times, help the guest services dept. with hosting groups
- At times, assist with housekeeping duties to ensure the property is ready for guest groups.
- Be aware and make necessary changes to hazards found on campgrounds.
- Perform all duties in accordance with camp policy and procedures, risk management guidelines, and American Camp Association accreditation standards.
- Assist with emergencies as needed.
- Assist with other tasks needed at camp.
May be asked to use a variety of equipment such as lawn mower, weed eaters, saws, ladders, pressure washer, non-power shop tools, etc. Might be asked to drive Golf Carts or Gators.
- Must be at least 18 years old of age.
- Ability to follow through with assigned tasks.
- Ability to work on a team, relate and work well with others.
- Ability to accept guidance, direction and supervision.
Ability to understand and implement safety regulations and procedures. Ability, both visual and auditory, to identify safety hazards and monitor guest and staff behavior and enforce appropriate safety regulations and emergency procedures. Ability to walk, stand, bend and stretch. Ability to lift, up to approximately 50 pounds, and occasional lifting of equipment. Ability to safely and properly use maintenance equipment. Willing to live in a camp setting and work irregular hours. Operate with daily exposure to the sun and heat and other environmental conditions.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for safely operating electric powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices such as forklift or elevating platform, to push, lift, stack, or move products or materials by performing the following duties:
- Adheres to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) that are in effect
- Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials and transports load to designated area
- Unloads and stacks material by using lifting device
- Replenishes shelves throughout the facility based on the number on the product, by scanning the tag to determine location
- Positions and weighs pallets
- Inventories materials on work floor and stocks the shelves in order to replenish necessary products
- Loads or unloads materials onto to or off of pallets, skids, or lifting device. Must be able to document information as per SOP
- Complies with company policies and procedures and maintains regular work attendance
- Personal responsibility for following safety rules, SOPs and cGMPs guidelines
- Willingness/capability to cross train/learn job functions in other departments of the facility
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must be licensed to operate lift equipment (Licensing may be through internal or external training)
- 3 months experience operating High Reach Fork Lift equipment - will be trained and certified in-house
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
- Prior manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred
- Ability to write simple correspondence and exercise basic mathematical skills
- Must be able to respond to verbal and written instructions in basic English
