About the Job:

To manage the fit and construction process for quality garments leading to on time delivery.


A day in the life, what you’ll be doing:

  • Manage and supervise assigned Technical Designer/s
  • Lead/direct fit session on live model with cross-functional teams (Design/Merchants/Product Development) to evaluate garment fit, constructions, and styling details
  • Ability to articulate the fit issues and present solutions during the fit session to cross functional teams
  • Accountable to resolve fit issues and to clearly communicate to vendors via PLM system, illustrator and/or pattern corrections w/in a 24-72 hour turn time
  • Accurately apply grade rules and make pattern corrections
  • Take ownership to maintain accuracy of PLM tech pack specs and construction pages
  • Establish and maintain library of patterns of basic blocks
  • Establish and maintain brand fit, spec and construction consistency
  • Collaborate with Design in initial stages of tech pack spec development. Translate design sketches and/or sample into spec and construction pages. Review tech packs prior to turn over for accuracy
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

What it takes to Join:

  • Degree in fashion design, apparel production
  • Minimum 10 years of proven technical design experience
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of pattern making experience

  • Support risk analysis activities, including design and process FMEA.
  • Facilitate team meetings as needed on in-depth process and product analysis, risk assessments, decision-making, and other evaluations related to the Validation program.

Job Summary

Perform a variety of duties related to the protection of life and property. Assist with prevention of crime, preservation of the public peace, calls for service, and basic police services in accordance with the mission, goals and objectives of the Georgia Tech Police and in compliance with governing federal and state laws. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: supervisor and co-workers, GT employees, students and campus visitors. This position typically will advise and counsel: GT employees, students and campus visitors.



Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Engage in law enforcement patrol functions by foot, bike or other motorized equipment physically checking doors and windows of buildings to ensure they are secure. Conduct visual and audio surveillance.

Job Duty 2 -
Assist police officers with an arrest, forcibly if necessary, using handcuffs and other restraints; subdue resisting suspects using maneuvers and weapons (non-firearms) and resort to the use of hands and feet and other approved weapons in self-defense.

Job Duty 3 -
Prepare investigative and other reports, including sketches, using appropriate grammar, symbols and mathematical computations.

Job Duty 4 -
Perform rescue functions at accidents, emergencies and disasters to include directing traffic for long periods of time, administering emergency medical aid, lifting, dragging and removing people from dangerous situations and securing and evacuating people from particular areas.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, & EXPERIENCE


To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential position requirement satisfactorily and a skills inventory is listed below. A Bachelor's (BA) or equivalent four-year college degree with a major in Finance or Accounting is required. In addition, between one and three years of related experience, preferably in a financial institution or public accounting environment, is preferred. A background screening will be conducted.

  • LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret documents. Possesses professional communication and interpersonal skills to write and speak effectively both one-on-one and before groups of clients or employees of the organization. Ability to communicate to clients directly and effectively.
  • TECHNOLOGY SKILLS: Ability to utilize telephone systems and possess good digital literacy including email, internet and intranet use. Prior experience or the ability to learn core transaction system, debit card system, general ledger software and any other computer programs pertinent to performing job duties.
  • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to solve challenging problems involving several variables in a standardized situation.
