Overview
RubinBrown's Real Estate Group is a nationally recognized leader in providing specialized audit, tax and consulting services across the country in the affordable housing, low-income housing, historic rehabilitation, New Markets and Renewable Energy credit segments as well as Opportunity Zones.
As a member of the RubinBrown's Real Estate Tax Team, the successful candidate will work directly with the tax staff accountants, other managers and partners of the firm's Real Estate Services Group. The successful candidate will use his or her foundation in pass-through accounting and taxation, along with specialized skills related to tax compliance and consulting regulations. The Real Estate Tax Team has a specific focus on issues related to tax credit and tax incentive properties, including low-income housing, historic rehabilitation, New Markets and Renewable Energy credits as well as Opportunity Zones.
A background in all or any of these topics is welcomed but not required. Tax Partners and Managers must provide outstanding consulting, compliance and project management services to our real estate clients. Tax Partners and Managers must be aware of the professionalism necessary for not only effectively and efficiently addressing client needs but also with working with others and on teams.
Major Responsibilities
- Plan, supervise, review and complete real estate tax work/tax returns for multiple clients in accordance with RubinBrown Client Service Standards
- Utilize his or her extensive foundation of knowledge related to pass-through taxation and regulations and, as applicable, tax credit real estate properties including tax compliance and consulting
- Participate in and/or create practice development opportunities
- Identify process and performance improvement opportunities
- Assume responsibilities for project management of various client groups, including regular communication with clients and contacts related to tax compliance and consulting
- Drive workflow with clients and team members
- Research current tax compliance and consulting issues
- Work closely with and directly communicate with other real estate team members, in addition to client personnel
Preferred Experience/Background/Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related degree and CPA or other related certification (required)
- Strong technical skills including the ability to effectively utilize technology and the commitment to learning in the technology environment
- A minimum of 5 years of pass-through taxation and compliance experience, including supervision and review experience. Prior experience with pass-through entity tax credits is preferred but not required

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. Daily Reconciliations
Review transactions for DAFs and charitable entities including GS DAF GSG, to ensure the accuracy of the Charities' books and records versus custodian records. Then liaise with Trading teams to remediate any differences.
Cash Management
Perform cash controls and monitor bank accounts for potentially fraudulent activity. Review, process, and report on Charities' expenses and budgets. Receive, review, and process third-party vendor invoices in partnership with Accounts Payable.
Daily Reporting

Senior / Regulatory Reporting
Prepare components of regulatory reporting and tax filings for the Charities, including Form 990, Form 8282, FBAR, and other required reports. Process Improvement
Review existing team processes to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for automation or streamlining. - Ensure repairs, leak calls, preventive maintenance, and warranty work are performed safely, efficiently, and to company quality standards.
- Partner with the Service Manager to schedule daily/weekly assignments, material loading, and equipment needs.
- Oversee work in progress, monitoring labor hours, material usage, and safety practices.
- Respond quickly to emergency service requests, making sound decisions under pressure.
- Communicate effectively with clients, building owners, property managers, and general contractors during site visits.
- Ensure foremen receive complete job information and client requirements prior to dispatch.
- Review and approve service reports, photos, and documentation submitted by crews; ensure timely upload to Dataforma.
- Support preparation of proposals and change orders by providing accurate field notes and scope feedback.
- Assist with warranty inspections and service audits to ensure compliance with manufacturer standards.
- Maintain and enforce strict safety ownership of all service job sites, including toolbox talks and incident reporting.
- Train, mentor, and coach service foremen and technicians to ensure technical expertise, customer service, and adherence to company values.
- Monitor inventory control for service materials, tools, and equipment; coordinate replenishment as needed.
- Complete daily/weekly field reports detailing service activities, labor, and job conditions.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by Service Manager or leadership.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial roofing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or superintendent role in service/repair work.
- Strong technical knowledge of commercial roofing systems (single-ply, built-up, modified bitumen, coatings, metal, etc.) with emphasis on repairs and maintenance.
- Proven ability to manage multiple small-scale jobs simultaneously, often with tight response timelines.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills; ability to build strong relationships with clients.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload.
- Proficiency with basic computer skills; experience with Dataforma or similar project management systems preferred.
- OSHA 30 certification required; additional safety certifications (EM 385, CQM) preferred.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work at roof heights.

Primary Purpose of Position
Manage and monitor the work activities of the assigned regional valve services organization to ensure a productive workforce that supports all divisional, departmental, Clean Energy Center (CEC) and corporate goals while in accordance with all company policies and local, state, and federal regulations.
Primary Duties and Accountabilities
- Provide guidance and oversight to regional Valve Services group during online and outage activities execution functions through routine performance monitoring, audits, self-assessment, and lessons learned for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate and interface with CECs to plan, schedule, and execute work activities.
- Manage and monitor department resources and budgets to ensure optimum performance and equipment reliability.
- Hire, develop, retain and mentoring of talent required to support the organization.
- All other job assignments and/or duties pursuant to company policy or as directed by management to include but not limited to: (Emergency Response duties and/or coverage, Department duty coverage and/or call out, and positions outside of department in support of outage activities etc.)
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 8 years of related experience OR
- Current or previous Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) license with 8 years of related experience OR
- Associate's degree with 10 years of related experience OR
- High school diploma/GED with 12 years of related experience
- Supervisory and/or managerial experience
- Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in nuclear power plant operations
- Electrical experience within the realm of Motor Operated Valve planning
- Valve / outage planning experience
- P6 / scheduling experience
