• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Industrial Conveyor Mechanic based in East Providence, RI. Primary responsibilities include performing maintenance and repair on industrial conveyor systems, troubleshooting machinery issues, and ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently. The mechanic will also handle milling tasks and work in an industrial setting, adhering to safety and quality standards. Collaboration with team members and efficient time management are key aspects of the role.

• Thoroughly inspect incoming used conveyor systems and components to identify wear, damage, and potential issues.
• Perform mechanical and electrical repairs, including replacing worn belts, bearings, motors, and drives
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical problems on a variety of systems, often under pressure to meet resale deadlines.
• Test all repaired and refurbished equipment to ensure it operates safely and meets performance standards.
• Assist with upgrades, modifications, and installations as needed for specific systems being prepared for resale. 
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team and a strong commitment to safety. 
• Meticulous approach to inspections, repairs, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Maintenance & Repair and general maintenance tasks
• Experience working with Machinery and Conveyor Systems

• Ensures the proper electrical maintenance and safe operating condition of all park rides.
• Performs inspection, maintenance, troubleshoots and repairs electrical work on rides, ride control systems, computer, and PLC.
• Inspects, troubleshoots, and repairs electrical work on rides, ride control systems, computer, and PLC.
• Installs electrical conduit and wiring; cleans electrical equipment and components; maintains controls and motors on rides; maintains ride lighting; maintains ride solid state drives.

• Must be able to work from ladders, lifts, and platforms.
• Must be able to read electrical schematics, charts, diagrams, and blue prints. Must be able to identify electrical wires by color.

• Ability to interpret the National Electrical Code and apply safe work installations.
• Ability to perform some electrical construction when necessary.
• Must have valid driver's license.

• Maintain safe work practices, including proper forklift operation, safe driving speeds, horn usage, and seatbelt compliance.
• Review production sheets to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Accurately pick customer orders by interpreting pick-tickets and using RF scanner systems.
• Load and unload transport vehicles, ensuring products are securely and evenly placed.
• Maintain forklift equipment, complete daily inspections, and ensure proper shutdown and charging procedures.
• Document all shipping and receiving activities thoroughly and accurately.
• Follow FIFO (First-In, First-Out) procedures for all warehouse inventory unless otherwise directed.
• Strictly adhere to company inventory control and MRP system policies.
• Perform preventive maintenance and housekeeping tasks to keep warehouse areas safe and organized.
• Support other warehouse or production-related duties as assigned.

• Strong mathematical and reading comprehension skills with mechanical aptitude.
