AmTrust Financial Services is growing fast and looking for a Claims Examiner I to join our Workersβ Compensation team. Youβll investigate and resolve claims quickly and accurately, using strong research and negotiation skills to deliver great results. Prior insurance experienceβ even outside workersβ comp or commercial lines.
This role is hybrid out of our Maitland, FL office
Responsibilities
- Assist in reviewing, investigating, and processing incoming claims in accordance with company policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Gather and analyze documentation, statements, and other supporting materials to determine claim validity and coverage.
- Communicate with policyholders, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate claim resolution.
- Maintain detailed and accurate claim files and documentation.
- Provide clear, empathetic, and professional customer service throughout the claims process.
- Identify potential subrogation and fraud indicators and escalate as appropriate.
- Support senior adjusters and team members with claim-related tasks and administrative duties.
- Participate in training and development programs to build technical and industry knowledge.
Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree or 3+ years equivalent work experience required.
- Prior insurance or claims experience required.
- Active adjuster license preferred; ability and willingness to obtain licensure required (company-paid training available).

The Treasury Analyst reports to the Director of Treasury Management Services. Provides financial planning and analysis in the conduct of daily treasury activities. Maintains a solid understanding of AmTrustβs mission, vision, and values. Upholds the standards of the AmTrust organization.

- Create payments in Kyriba TMS or bank portal, including but not limited to International and Domestic wires, transfers and ACH's.
- Troubleshoot any payment rejections.
- Decision ACH debit and Positive Pay exceptions.
- Assign missing cash flow budget codes & update budget code rules.

As an Underwriting Intern you will specifically work with national payroll agencies and digital partners within a quickly growing division of AmTrust. Emphasis is on providing excellent customer service, which consists of friendly and prompt responses to agent emails, calls, and quick problem resolution. Underwriting Interns work directly with the agent providing documents, binding policies and processing endorsements.
Responsibilities
- Receives, responds and re-directs inquiries from producers and home office personnel
- Communicates directly with producers and home office personnel, verbally or in writing, as required
- Secures underwriting information as requested
- Prepares general business letters, emails, correspondence, and miscellaneous forms including Excel worksheet
- Processes endorsements, premium audits, and other transactions as directed by underwriter
- May assist underwriters with underwriting of new submissions and renewals
- Performs other duties and responsibilities or assists with any special projects as assigned
Qualifications
Required:
- Rising Senior (graduating December 2026 or May 2027) actively pursuing bachelorβs degree in related field
- Perform multi-tasks under pressure
- Analyzes and processes diverse information
- Bachelors degree in progress majoring in related fields
- MS Office β Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.

Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree candidate, preferably in in mathematics, actuarial science, or financial related field.
- Demonstrated interest in actuarial career through exam progress, at least one exam passed
- Strong GPA preferred, 3.5 or higher
- Strong quantitative skills
- Working knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint

- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual expense reporting.
- Collaborate across IT/Operations, business units and other corporate functions to gather relevant data and insights.
- Support development of financial models to forecast and analyze expenses, including KPI tracking and benchmarking.

AmTrust Financial is seeking an ambitious and self-motivated intern to join the Excess & Surplus (E&S) Home Office Underwriting team this summer. In this role, you will leverage your analytical and data skills to help solve complex business issues impacting E&S Underwriting. This role may serve as a liaison between the E&S Home Office Underwriting department and all of the other departments that interface with the group.
Responsibilities, May Include:
- Be a key member of the Home Office Underwriting team that is accountable for the governance and operational performance of the E&S Underwriting group.
- Working independently, effectively manage assigned project(s) using available tools and data systems to develop hypothesis, test and solve for strategic business issues within the company data/reports; troubleshoots when there are inconsistencies and presents findings to management.
- Support development of business reporting tool(s) that monitor and drive Underwriting benchmarking and KPI tracking.
- Collaborate across data analytics, IT, finance, underwriting business units and other corporate functions to gather relevant data and insights.
- May assist in the preparation of any weekly, monthly, quarterly and/or annual reporting for the Underwriting units.
Desired Qualifications:
- Rising Senior (graduating in December 2026 or May 2027) actively pursuing a bachelorβs degree in a data-oriented field of study. This can include Data Science, Data Systems/Architecture, Analytics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, or related field with a demonstrated level of data analysis (e.g. Economics or Finance).
- Strong level of comfortability working in a data environment that may be limited, fragmented, or incomplete and seeing issues through to resolution
- Proficiency with data analytics software (MS-SQL or Snowflake preferred) and skilled in linking multiple data sources to organize data into a logical format for analysis. Experience with R and/or Python a plus but, not required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel
