Job Summary

The Packaging Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining packaging line equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant production operations. This role supports packaging activities by following approved procedures, maintaining accurate documentation, and upholding quality, safety, and regulatory standards.


Responsibilities

  • Operate packaging line equipment in accordance with approved SOPs and batch records.
  • Monitor equipment performance, respond to alarms, and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
  • Perform equipment cleaning, line clearances, part changes, and assist with changeovers.
  • Verify packaging components and bulk product against batch documentation.
  • Complete required documentation, including logbooks, batch records, and verification forms.
  • Stage, transfer, and handle packaging materials and finished goods.
  • Stack finished cases, shrink-wrap pallets, and transport materials using palletizers and pallet jacks.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with PPE, EHS, cGMP, DEA, OSHA, and other regulatory standards.

  • Train and mentor other operators and material handlers as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure workflow continuity.

We’re currently seeking a full-time Graphic Designer focused on packaging design to join our creative team. In this role, you’ll primarily design retail packaging for our products while also supporting the creation of retail PDQs and in-store displays that help bring the brand to life in stores.


This is a full-time, in-office role based in DUMBO, Brooklyn.


What You’ll Do:


  • Packaging design. Design retail packaging across multiple product lines, including layout, typography, color, and visual storytelling.


  • Structural packaging development. Contribute to the structural design and development of packaging formats, working through concepts, mockups, and dielines to create packaging that is both functional and visually compelling.


  • Dielines & production files. Create and manage dielines, structural layouts, and production-ready artwork for packaging across various formats including boxes, trays, tubes, and blister cards.


  • Packaging systems. Develop scalable packaging systems that work across product families, colorways, and SKUs while maintaining brand consistency.


  • Retail PDQs & displays. Design retail-ready PDQs, countertop displays, and other in-store merchandising units that present products effectively at retail.

Summary: The Packaging Technician will efficiently, effectively, and safely clean, set-up, and operate machinery in the packaging area while adhering to applicable cGMPs, SOPs, FDA, and DEA guidelines.

Responsibilities: Follow Master Batch Records for the packaging of controlled, oral solid dose (OSD) and other dosage forms when required.

Safely and in compliance with batch records and SOPs, set up, operate, and clean packaging equipment.

Perform in-process testing and inspections.

Clean and sanitize packaging equipment, parts, components, and rooms.

Complete accurate and timely documentation following good documentation practices in accordance with GMP.

Process labeling and components correctly; transferring, counting, FIFO, returns, etc.

Maintain regular and punctual attendance; work overtime as required.
