About This Role
Every position at Common Citizen from seed to sale, is contributing to our mission to serve our fellow citizens of Michigan with the highest quality, safest cannabis product through our highly individualized and education-oriented provisioning centers. The Back of House Associate will assist with all inventory activities and will be responsible for auditing to ensure accurate inventory counts.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Assist in initial loss prevention processes.
- Maintain organized and consistent stocking and packaging systems for inputs, outputs, and intermediates.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment that ensures the compliance storage of all items in an operational manner.
- Use and maintain all inventory tracking systems.
- Audit the physical inventory to ensure that the virtual inventory aligns precisely.
- Maintain PAR levels of inventory of solvents and gasses.
- Handle inventory listings in METRC.
- Track both regulated and non-regulated inventory.
- Maintain accurate records including audits and manifests.

ABOUT METRC

GENERAL OVERVIEW
The Data Analyst (DA) is a key member of Metrc’s Data and Analytics organization. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with internal teams across the company as well as external customers and partners. The Data and Analytics team delivers high-value analysis and actionable insights that support strategic decisions, operational efficiency, and compliance for a wide range of stakeholders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Core duties and responsibilities include the following.
- Embodies Metrc’s Leadership Principles
- Design, develop, and deploy dashboards and reports using Tableau, Sigma, and other BI tools to meet business requirements
- Analyze complex data sets using SQL to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights that inform business decisions
- Administer BI platforms (Tableau Server, Sigma), managing users, permissions, automations, and content assets
- Monitor and validate report data regularly to ensure consistency, accuracy, and reliability
- Curate and organize data for reporting purposes, ensuring well-structured data that meets business needs
- Maintain and optimize DBT pipelines to ensure data quality and transformation efficiency
- Document business requirements and create specifications for needs requiring advanced data engineering
- Respond to BI tool inquiries and collaborate with training to facilitate user education.
- Proactively explore new metrics within existing data to improve analytics.
- Maintain and publish organizational data dictionaries to ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation
- Stay current with industry best practices and emerging trends in data visualization and reporting
QUALIFICATIONS- KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
- Experience in supply chain or track-and-trace–related data analytics is preferred but not required.
- Four years or more experience with Data Analysis and Analytics
- Strong SQL proficiency and relational database interaction skills
- Bachelor’s degree in data Analytics or a similar study or equivalent experience. Other degrees are acceptable if a candidate has deep technical experience with Snowflake, SQL, Python, R to pair with Data Analytics experience.
- Reporting tool experience (ex: Tableau, Sigma, Power BI, Domo, Looker, etc.) is highly desirable.
- Reporting tool development experience is favorable but not required.
- ETL tool experience is favored but not required (ex: Alteryx, Tibco, Tray.Io, Workado, MuleSoft, Metallion, FiveTran)
- AI and Machine Learning experience a plus, basic understanding required
- Heavy Microsoft Excel experience (formulas, pivots, lookups), Visio a plus, proficiency with the remainder of MS Office suite.

Director of Retail Inventory & Compliance
Location: West Bloomfield, MI
Reports To: CEO / COO
Type: Full-Time, Leadership
The Director of Retail Inventory & Compliance owns the accuracy, compliance, movement, and financial performance of all inventory across all retail locations.
This mission-critical leadership role ensures 100% alignment between Physical Inventory, METRC, and Dutchie while maintaining full CRA compliance every day.

Core Responsibilities
Retail Inventory Ownership
- Own all inventory across all retail locations.
- Manage multi-million dollar retail inventory portfolios in a high-volume, multi-store environment.
- Ensure real-time accuracy between Physical Inventory, METRC, and Dutchie POS.
- Build and enforce standardized retail inventory control systems.
Daily, Weekly & Monthly Inventory Discipline
- Design and enforce a company-wide daily cycle count program.
- Execute daily cycle counts, weekly audits, monthly reconciliations, and quarterly/annual audits.
- Audit sales floor, backstock/vault, quarantine/hold, returns, destructions, transfers, and METRC packages.
- Investigate and resolve all discrepancies immediately.
- Implement root-cause analysis and corrective action systems.
Compliance & Risk Management (CRA / METRC)
- Own 100% CRA and METRC compliance across all retail locations.
- Ensure continuous audit readiness for CRA inspections, state audits, and internal audits.
- Build SOPs that make compliance automatic and non-negotiable.
- Eliminate METRC drift, process gaps, and human-error dependency.
Retail Team Leadership
- Lead and manage inventory teams at each retail location.
- Build a standardized training, certification, and accountability system.
- Ensure every store follows the same inventory playbook.
- Create a culture of precision, discipline, and ownership.
Merchandising, Stock Levels & Optimization
- Partner with Retail Ops and Merchandising to optimize stock levels, improve turns, reduce aging inventory, and improve in-stock rates.
- Ensure stores are never overstocked, never out of stock, and never sitting on dead product.
Shrink, Loss Prevention & Financial Impact
- Own shrink performance across retail.
- Build shrink dashboards, store-level accountability systems, and investigation frameworks.
- Drive improvement in margin, inventory efficiency, and cash utilization.
Systems, SOPs & Process Architecture
- Design, document, and deploy retail inventory SOPs for receiving, transfers, storage, cycle counting, returns, destructions, adjustments, and recalls.
- Drive process discipline and automation across all stores.
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
- 5+ years in inventory, retail operations, or supply chain leadership
- 5+ years in high-volume retail
- Proven experience managing multi-million dollar retail inventory
- Direct, hands-on experience with METRC and Michigan CRA retail compliance
- Experience building SOPs, audit programs, and inventory control systems
Strongly Preferred:
- Dutchie POS experience

Our client is a vertically integrated cannabis company operating in multiple states. They are a rapidly growing private cannabis company that has been known for quality products and great retail experience.
- Minimum age 21 (must be legally 21+ to work in certain regulated cannabis-related activities)
- 3+ years’ experience in compliance or regulatory roles (cannabis industry experience strongly preferred)
- Deep working knowledge of state-level cannabis regulatory frameworks and licensing processes across multiple U.S. jurisdictions

- Experience developing and delivering compliance training programs to non-legal teams
- Background in data privacy or security compliance (CCPA, HIPAA or equivalent)
- Hands-on experience conducting internal investigations and implementing remediation plans
- Familiarity with contract review and vendor risk management in regulated industries
- Experience in a recruiting, HR, or talent-agency environment — understanding candidate lifecycle risks and controls
