Project Description:
In this role, you will be responsible for the collaboration and interactions in the review of specific customer application(s) using electric technologies for the Low and Medium Voltage power systems for Production Enhancement Product Service Lines (PSL). Also, you will support the delivery/commissioning of these state-of-the-art technology solutions for challenging applications in oil & gas to improve operational efficiency, lower costs and emissions, and maximize well productivity. You will need to be creative, dynamic, passionate, and data-driven with the ability to effectively communicate and influence the internal teams and/or customers to deliver best-in-class solutions. This is a high visibility position where the incumbent is expected to frequently interact with Technology, business leadership, and customers to formulate and plan technology delivery for electrical power systems applications.
Responsibilities:
- Cultivate a culture of collaboration in the electrical low and medium voltage power systems to ensure that state-of-the-art technology is applied in the development of new customer technical solutions.
- Hands on experience in the development of applications of electrical equipment and systems including micro-grids, utility electrical interfaces, natural gas (NG) generators and turbines using industrial electrical distribution, medium voltage switchgear, transformers, motor control centers, AC motors, and protection systems for mobile applications.
- Actively collaborate with other personnel engaged in equipment design, maintenance, and operation to ensure safe, reliable deployment of high-performance solutions meeting customer requirements.
- Interact closely with suppliers to ensure performance, reliability and quality of components and subsystems.
Mandatory Skills Description:
-Minimum of bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with at least 5 years of electrical power systems engineering experience or related/applicable experience. Master's degree is highly desired but not required.
-Experience working with customers in the use/application/selection of mobile electrical gear to solve customer specific solutions, and knowledgeable with electrical analysis and in the use of commercial software such as SKM preferred, or ETAP, etc.,
-Experience with large-scale industrial processes (chemical, pharmaceutical, oil & gas refining) is essential to be successful in this role.
-Understanding of the commissioning of power systems solutions (low & medium voltage), using utility power, micro-grids, and mobile power generation (NG gas turbine & recip. engines), and demonstrated troubleshooting skills is desired, but not required.

SUMMARY:
Souder, Miller & Associates is recruiting a full time Survey CAD Tech II-IV for the Geomatics department in the Las Cruces, NM office. We are seeking a dynamic drafter that can multi-task between numerous projects while maintaining effective communication with the remainder of the team. Need the ability to produce Survey Boundary Plats, create surface models, perform office calculations, sometimes managed complex and large plan sets. Have the ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, meet budgets, be a team player. The CAD Tech II-IV will directly support and coordinate with the Project Manager and design team. The candidate must be familiar with the application of principles, methods, and techniques of engineering and surveying technology. We are looking for someone who can complete the variety of tasks in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Knowledge of national CAD Standards. Must be able to proficiently operate AutoCAD Civil3D software.
- Assists in the analysis of reports, maps, drawings, tests and aerial photographs to plan and design projects.
- Able to process various forms of data provided such as xml files, point data, GIS data, shape files, Landdesktop etc.
- Create, utilize, and modify plan, profiles, alignments, sample lines, and section views.
- Must understand the plan and profiles, able to provide detailed and accurate drawings.
- Create, manage, and edit line type styles, text styles, label styles, point group styles, etc.
- Create, manage, and edit design surfaces through the use of feature lines, corridors, 3-D Polylines, point data etc. or a combination of these components.
- Understand and be able to operate plans that utilize ctb files and stb files.
- Create, manage, and edit sheet set managers for complex projects while coordinating with support staff.
- Prepare medium to complex design computations and quantity estimates.
- Perform design of portions of non-routine projects or entire routine projects under infrequent supervision.
- Assist in the preparation of drawings, and exhibits for reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules and permits for projects.
- Perform CAD drafting on a regular basis to reduce designs to final drawings.
- Understands surveying terminology and other concepts related to civil engineering and construction practices.

The Role
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for providing engineering inputs integral to both small and large scale hydro projects. You will lead and mentor teams, support management of production and coordinate delivery of engineering inputs often with multi-disciplinary project team members and senior stakeholders. You will not only support and help grow the broader engineering team capabilities, but your particular focus will be on continuing the development of our powerhouse and energy capabilities and working with key staff in growing that aspect of the business.
You’ll also be involved in supporting project management duties, liaising with both internal and external clients as well as assisting with guiding and mentoring graduate engineers within the team. In this role you will lead teams conducting technical work for feasibility studies, engineering designs, preparation of construction drawings and specifications, and carrying out onsite visits for rehabilitation and upgrades to dams, hydroelectric facilities and new hydroelectric developments. You will participate in design and play a large role in mentoring the team. You will be working in a collaborative environment with a great team of engineers and scientists, and you will also interface directly with clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide input to those managing and executing multiple projects from the proposal stage through to completion. Projects will include a variety of small to large projects.
- Establish and facilitate connections with other departments to support and enhance service delivery.
- Work collaboratively with other disciplines and multidisciplinary project teams to execute project deliverables, as well as ensure that quality objectives, schedules and budgets are met.
- Support and collaborate on new business opportunities with new and existing clients, as well as supporting business development efforts for electrical work.
- Manage and mentor junior staff.

About You
- Minimum of a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university. A post graduate degree would be an asset.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in electrical engineering with demonstrated project management skills (tracking budgets and meeting schedules).
- Must be registered as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in California, Oregon, or Washington, as well as eligible for registration as a professional engineer in other states by comity through NCEES.
- Demonstrated leadership of electrical design projects in the industrial power generation field, with experience managing and mentoring younger staff.
- Previous consulting experience is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Candidate must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Client interaction: must be able to effectively assume a lead role as project engineer at project meetings and communicate project and technical information.
- Demonstrated experience in site investigations, condition assessments, design and construction support are preferred.
- Experience with station service distribution (all voltages), medium voltage equipment, fixed bus power distribution systems, Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) automation (for equipment control), generators and transformers including related monitoring systems, communication systems, system grounding, hoists and gate automation, and balance of plant systems for hydroelectric stations preferred, but industrial experience will be considered.
- Experience with the following would be considered an asset:
- Backup power systems (including Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), Direct Current systems and fuel fired backup)
- Lighting (including emergency and exit lighting systems)
- Fiber and copper structured cable systems, and associated networking equipment
- Distributed Control System (DCS) and PLC Automation, Human Machine Interface (HMI) and Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) integration (including any programming experience)
- Protection systems experience, including specifying, setting and verifying (include reference to voltages)
- Load flow analysis, system modelling, arc-flash, grounding, and other electrical studies (include reference to software used and any training)
- North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC)/Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) planning
- Physical or cyber security planning or design
- Unit outage planning
- Other renewable energy experience
- Travel to project sites is usually limited but is required depending on project/client requirements.

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Product Verification & Validation (PV&V) Engineer to support electric machines utilized across a diverse portfolio of heavy equipment, including agricultural tractors, construction machinery, turf equipment, and golf products.
This role offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative and innovative engineering environment, contributing to multiple product lines and diverse laboratory settings. Key Responsibilities
As a PV&V Engineer, you will:
- Develop and execute Product Verification & Validation (PV&V) plans, define validation activities, document work within internal PV&V systems, track progress, and report Activity Completion Rating (ACR) metrics to leadership.

My Client, a mid-size turnkey Engineering, Procurement and Construction specialist providing critical infrastructure services to the energy and utilities markets across the USA, is looking for a Project Field Engineer specializing in substation projects, for a project in Delta UT.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the field and will be responsible for supporting electrical substations construction teams. To be considered you must have completed 3 full projects at least and have a stable work history. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical engineering principles, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to ensure the successful completion of projects. The position is required to provide technical guidance and support to the client's construction teams, as well as be the teams direct link back to the broader engineering team on the project.
Duties
- Acting as the main technical expert on site, offering guidance to construction crews and subcontractors

Responsibilities
- Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties including:
- Performs standard vehicle maintenance
- Performs preventive maintenance
- Diagnoses complex mechanical and electronic problems utilizing diagnostic computer when applicable
- Completes complex and detailed mechanical inspections & repairs with minimal supervision
- Replaces defective components as instructed
- Works unsupervised on most tasks
- Performs facility maintenance duties
- Interacts with customers/drivers to properly determine nature of complaint once assigned a task.
- Utilizes key functions of Shop Management System and electronic documentation available.
- Works in accordance with all federal/ provincial and corporate compliance guidelines (i.e., safety, DOT, MOT).
- Acts as mentor for Tech 1 and Tech 2 levels.
- Demonstrate the ability to access and use internal and external maintenance documents.
- Other support duties as required to support operations. These could include but are not limited to Service Island support
- SBTIII trained within 180 days (SBT220)
- Complete 2 of the OEM On-Line diagnostic scan tool software courses as required by location fleet mi. (predominant OEM of fleet mix completed within 365days)

Job Summary and QualificationsAs a Radiology Technologist, you will utilize x-ray to assist in diagnosis and/or treatment while always adhering to state, regulatory, and Radiation Right guidelines. You will work closely with other healthcare team members to facilitate exceptional patient care and efficient completion of diagnostic studies while also promoting optimal unit operations.
