My client, a global energy equipment manufacturing company, is looking for a Quality Assurance Technician with Manufacturing experience to inspect machined work pieces. This is a 1 year W2 Contract and will be based on site.
Essential Responsibilities:
Inspect machined work pieces to ensure conformance to specification
Interpret and follow written inspection instructions, quality requirements and customer
specifications
Measure dimensions such as length, height and distance between reference points, using precision instruments such as micrometer, caliper, dial indicator, optical comparator, X-Y-Z measuring equipment, X-ray to ensure product meets specifications
Locate reference point on part and measure dimensions, such as angle, arc and radii, using combination of aids, such as surface plate, angle plates, parallel bars, gauge blocks, V-blocks and precision measuring instruments
Complete all necessary inspection forms and reports
Inspect first run, in process and final parts
Perform airflow tests, incoming and final inspections
Perform, as assigned, other similar or related duties
Qualifications/Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Ability to lift/push/pull at least 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
Ability to work occasional weekend shifts
Ability to work overtime as required
Willingness to wear personal protective equipment, for example: safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs, and safety shoes
This role requires use of technical data subject to U.S. Government export restrictions and this posting is only for U.S. Persons (U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents and protected individuals (e.g., certain refugees and asylees)
Experience in manufacturing preferred
My Client, a mid-size turnkey Engineering, Procurement and Construction specialist providing critical infrastructure services to the energy and utilities markets across the USA, is looking for a Project Field Engineer with a Civil background for a project in Delta UT.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the field and will be responsible for supporting electrical substations construction teams. To be considered you must have completed 3 full projects at least and have a stable work history. This role requires a deep understanding of civil engineering principles, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to ensure the successful completion of projects. The position is required to provide technical guidance and support to the client's construction teams, as well as be the teams direct link back to the broader engineering team on the project.
Duties
- Acting as the main technical expert on site, offering guidance to construction crews and subcontractors
- Making sure that the project adheres to engineering and design specifications, industry standards, and construction regulations
- Working independently or as part of the construction team to handle issues that arise.
- Support the resolution of construction issues, deviations from plans, unforeseen challenges, and collaborate with the Design team.
- Identifying potential risks and implementing preventive measures to minimize project delays, cost overruns and safety hazards.
- Processing of submittals and RFI’s
- Maintain accurate project documentation for field markup
- Support plan review and approval process with local and state municipalities, as required
- Report to Project Engineering Manager and Project Manager on status of open issues
- Performs any other duties assigned
- Adheres to internal standards, policies, and procedures
Preferred Experience and Education
- Minimum 5 years of relevant field experience in the Construction of large high voltage substations
- A Electrical or Civil Engineering Degree is essential
- Strong technical background in the installation of electrical equipment and associated subsystems
- Familiarity with high, medium and low voltage installations, substation design, grounding
- Ability to collaborate with project team members and client entities, demonstrating the leadership capabilities to ensure a successful project
- Excellent written and oral skills are required
- P.E. license is not required, but preferred
Travel Requirements
- Travel: Yes
- Percent of Time: 10%
A Vehicle will be provided and when travelling a per diem will be issued
