Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Chemistry or related field with minimum 6 years of experience or M.S. in Chemistry or related field with minimum 10 years of experience or B.S. degree in Chemistry or related field with 14 years of experience in lab environment, pharmaceutical experience preferred.

• Assist hiring managers in defining their strategic workforce needs as a foundation for understanding recruitment objectives. As well as defining the qualities, characteristics and KSAs for positions open for recruitment.
• Reviews search strategies with MVHS hiring managers to determine sourcing options for talent stream development, developing and leveraging appropriate sourcing approaches and methods to develop the sourcing talent pool of high match candidates.
• In collaboration with the Talent Acquisition/Sourcing Specialist and the hiring manager, writes talent sourcing campaign materials specific to each individualized search, and targeted to high potential candidates from a ‘candidate value’ perspective. Job Description Summary

The Instrument Readiness Specialist provides operational and technical support for LC-MS, HPLC, and GC-MS laboratories at Customer facilities in Delaware. This role includes routine instrument operation, sample preparation support, preventive maintenance, performance monitoring, and compliant documentation following Customer SOPs, validated methods, and regulatory requirements.

The position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently in a laboratory environment, and effective collaboration with Customer scientists and project stakeholders to ensure reliable analytical operations.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on operational support for LC-MS, HPLC, and GC-MS instrumentation at Customer facilities, including the DuPont Experimental Station (Wilmington, DE) and New Castle, DE, following SOPs, validated methods, and compliance requirements.
• Perform routine operation of analytical systems: instrument startup/shutdown, method loading, sequence/sample queue setup, data acquisition, and basic system checks.
• Support sample preparation activities: dilution, extraction, filtration, derivatization (as applicable), reagent preparation, consumable selection, and proper sample labeling per Customer-approved procedures.
• Monitor and assess instrument performance: chromatographic stability, pressure/flow profiles, vacuum system performance, detector response, ion source condition, mass accuracy, and column integrity; promptly communicate deviations or abnormal trends.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance and system upkeep: solvent/mobile phase preparation, degassing, tubing/fitting inspection, leak checks, column flushing, injector/ion source cleaning, vacuum pump monitoring, tuning verification, and routine calibration per manufacturer and Customer requirements.
• Support day-to-day lab operations: equipment readiness, workflow coordination, and effective communication with project leads and local stakeholders.

The Chief Heavy Civil Estimator is responsible for leading the company’s heavy civil estimating strategy, execution, and team development across all offices. This role will oversee a group of estimators operating from a centralized estimating location and will support bids for projects throughout the company’s footprint.

This position is a key leadership role in expanding the company’s heavy civil capabilities into new and existing markets including dams and water resource infrastructure, mass grading, mining support infrastructure, underground utilities, pipelines, and large-scale site development. Key Role Responsibilities - Core

SCHEDULER FAMILY - CORE

• Prepares, builds and updates project schedules collaboratively with the project team.
• Performs schedule reviews to ensure effective and efficient best practices for scheduling are utilized. Diplomatically communicates review comments to the project team.
• Participates in all phases of the construction planning & scheduling process, including the creation of proposal schedules, baseline schedule and ongoing schedule updates.
• Utilizes working knowledge of JE Dunn scheduling software.
• Assists with and performs training for JE Dunn operations. Assists with training content and course preparation for training delivered by the group.
• Assists with the development of best practices for JE Dunn planning and scheduling efforts.
• Visits job sites regularly to review job status and applies construction sequencing knowledge to accurately update the project schedule for assigned projects.
• May attend project related meetings and/or jobsite-specific meetings where emphasis on schedule is discussed.
• Supports Lean and Pull Planning sessions by ensuring CPM schedule is aligned with pull plan results.
• Supports the preparation of a variety of reports as required for assigned projects.
• Adds resource loading and cost loading, when required, to schedules collaboratively created with the project teams.
• Provides planning and scheduling support to operations, marketing and other IPS functions as directed.
• Understands that market and regional information are a part of project schedules such as: seasonal weather patterns, materials markets, labor forces and other factors that may impact each project schedule.
• Participates in pursuit opportunities with business development and the project team.

SENIOR SCHEDULER

In addition, this position will be responsible for the following:

• Develops and facilitates planning and scheduling training programs for internal team members including content creation and implementation planning.
• Leads project teams in assessing sequencing and methods of construction, project delays and impacts, alternate work plans, and recovery schedules.
• Leads planning and scheduling group best practice and process development efforts.
• Develops and maintains a library of standard project schedule templates for internal use as a starting point.
• Participates in pursuit opportunities, including interviews and external client meetings during the pursuit phase.
• Supports project teams to coordinate with trade partners’ schedule issues and recovery schedules.
• Participates and provides feedback in job pre-planning meetings, post construction meetings, and monthly project status review meetings.
• Mentors, manages and coaches a direct report (if applicable).

EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field (Preferred)

Description Summary:

The Heavy Civil Estimator is responsible for leading the company’s heavy civil estimating strategy, execution, and team development across all offices. This role will oversee a group of estimators operating from a centralized estimating location and will support bids for projects throughout the company’s footprint.

This position is a key leadership role in expanding the company’s heavy civil capabilities into new and existing markets including dams and water resource infrastructure, mass grading, mining support infrastructure, underground utilities, pipelines, and large-scale site development. The Chief Heavy Civil Estimator will produce accurate, complete, and competitive estimates and will build repeatable estimating systems that drive profitable growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities for Civil Estimator:

• Lead and manage a team of estimators responsible for heavy civil bids across all offices.
• Assign estimating responsibilities, coordinate workloads, and ensure bid schedules are met.
• Develop and mentor estimating staff through coaching, training, and performance feedback.
• Establish clear estimating workflows, standards, review processes, and deliverables.
• Lead preparation of competitive and complete estimates for heavy civil and large development pursuits.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs, pricing, labor and equipment productions, and bid-leveling.
• Develop pricing strategies and collaborate with leadership to determine bid markups, general conditions, contingency, and schedule impacts.
• Coordinate bid reviews and executive-level presentations prior to submission.
• Support expansion into new heavy civil markets and project types including:
• Dams / levees / water infrastructure
• Mass grading / earthwork
• Mining and mine infrastructure
• Wet and dry utilities
• Pipeline – Water/Sewer/Oil/Gas
• Large developments and site infrastructure
• Build estimating models, assemblies, means-and-methods assumptions, and productivity benchmarks for emerging work types.
• Identify equipment needs, subcontractor requirements, and labor production assumptions to support new civil capabilities.
• Ensure all estimates include complete scope coverage, clear assumptions, and appropriate risk allocation.
• Identify project risks and opportunities including logistics, access, production constraints, seasonal impacts, and design ambiguities.
• Support constructability reviews and sequencing concepts that align with execution strategies.
• Ensure the bid complies with owner requirements, bid forms, and proposal instructions.
• Solicit subcontractor pricing and scope input for specialty work (dewatering, drilling, blasting, shoring, etc.).
• Evaluate subcontractor quotes for completeness and accuracy; manage bid leveling and scope alignment.
• Assist in development of strategic partnerships for emerging markets and scopes.
• Maintain and improve a heavy civil cost database including labor, equipment, materials, trucking, and subcontractor benchmarks.
• Track estimate performance and contribute to lessons learned based on job cost results and field feedback.
• Coordinate with operations, project management, and field leadership to validate means/methods and production assumptions.
• Participate in turnover meetings and support transition from bid to execution.
• Assist operations in early project planning, budgeting, and buyout strategy as needed.

Knowledge & Skills:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Civil Construction Estimator
• Proven experience leading estimating efforts on complex heavy civil projects
• Demonstrated success managing or mentoring estimators and leading bid teams.
• Strong understanding of:
• Heavy civil means and methods
• Equipment spreads and production rates
• Construction scheduling impacts
• Labor, trucking, and material pricing models
• Risk management and bid strategy
• Advanced understanding of data analysis methods
• Familiarity with civil estimating computer software
