Responsibilities of an Equipment Operator:
- Perform pre- and post- operations inspections of assigned equipment according to Company policy to ensure windows, lights, mirrors, review cameras, and safety features are clean and operable.
- Continuously check the condition of the equipment to ensure it is always operationally ready to minimize production downtime.
- Determine load weights and verify against lifting abilities to prevent overloads and dangerous situations.
- Safe and efficient operations of the assigned machine to move vehicles for decommissioning, debris to proper storage site, and the loading of trucks and/or train cars.
- Aid in yard organization to help meet targeted production goals.
- Perform routine maintenance functions of assigned machine (fueling, lubricating, and cleaning).
- Perform daily loader inspections and report any concerns, defects or needed repairs to supervisor.
- Comply with all applicable federal, state, local, & SA Recycling safety, health, & environmental rules, regulations, policies, & procedures.
Qualifications of Equipment Operator:
- High School diploma, GED Certification, or equivalent work experience.
- 1 years' experience running Volvo front end loaders and/or Liebherr or Sennebogen material handlers in the scrap metal, waste, or demolition industries preferred.
- Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) a plus.
- Ability to carry out instructions provided in written or oral form.
- Ability to learn new tasks as assigned required.

Responsibilities:
- Provides leadership coverage across shipping, receiving, and general warehouse operations as needed to support workflow, staffing gaps, or special projects
- Assists in directing daily workflow and driving team productivity within the shipping department
- Assists in staffing high-priority areas based on outbound schedules, order volume, and operational needs
- Opens the facility and ensures a safe, efficient start-up when the Supervisor is not present

Role Summary
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for leading all warehouse operations, including material receiving, storage, internal material movement, picking and shipping preparation. This role focuses on ensuring a safe, accurate and efficient warehouse environment, supporting production needs through timely internal material flow and driving continuous improvement in warehouse processes and systems.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and develop warehouse supervisors, material handlers, forklift operators and shipping/receiving personnel.
- Oversee daily warehouse activities including receiving, put-away, staging, picking, line feeding and shipping preparation.
- Ensure efficient internal material flow to support continuous production operations.
- Maintain optimized warehouse layout, storage methods, and slotting based on operational requirements.
- Ensure high inventory accuracy through cycle counts, reconciliation, root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Maintain proper lot control, traceability and documentation in alignment with manufacturing standards.
- Manage WMS functionality, resolve system or transactional issues and drive continuous process improvements.
- Coordinate closely with Production, Planning, Quality, Procurement and Logistics to support material availability and manufacturing needs.
- Monitor labor, equipment, consumables and other warehouse operating costs; support cost-saving initiatives.
- Track and improve key warehouse KPIs such as dock-to-stock time, picking accuracy and inventory accuracy.
- Enforce OSHA and company EHS requirements; lead safety training, audits and corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with ISO and internal quality standards within warehouse operations.
- Support lean initiatives, 5S practices and overall warehouse efficiency improvements.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support operational excellence.
Qualifications & Experience
- 5+ years of warehouse management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience managing a warehouse team of at least 60 employees.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, material handling and inventory control.
- Experience with ERP/WMS systems (SAP preferred).
- Background in lean principles, 5S or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Effective leadership, communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced production environment.
- Flexibility to work extended hours or shifts based on operational needs.
- Forklift certification is a plus.

You'll load and unload shipments of various sizes, and you may use certain types of equipment such as stand-up, sit-down, or clamp forklifts and electric pallet jacks. Key Accountabilities:
- Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using various types of forklifts or other power equipment 80% of specified shift.
- Pull and prepare product for shipment ensuring the exact number and types of product is loaded.

- Comply with all OSHA and MSDS standards.
- Verify load accuracy; check the load count, stability, and product damage, report variances as necessary.
