As a Conventional Machinist you will be performing moderately complex assignments in support of our repair and maintenance of OEM equipment. Machinists will be required to perform a variety of related tasks including layout, set up, operating and making tool adjustments for various types of manual machine shop equipment.

Your Challenges
- Requires limited supervision/oversight, has experience in the trade and can perform all work required as an Inside Machinist
- Must have the ability to manufacture complex components from stock or modify parts in accordance with all drawing requirements
- Must be able to perform the set up and operation of all types of machines (lathes, mills, grinders, saws, etc.) and hand tools used in the trade as well as the ability to use all precision measuring instruments such as outside diameter and inside diameter micrometers, height gauges, depth gauges, calipers, verniers, lay-out tools and possess the ability to accurately record readings and measurements
- Advanced proficiency in reading complex blueprints, drawings, manuals, technical work documents, measuring and marking dimensions and reference points on material, selecting proper tooling, attachments, and accessories as well as manufacturing fixtures to hold work pieces and assemblies
- Advanced working knowledge of all feed/speed rates and machining characteristics of various materials
- Ability to machine complex parts to close tolerances ensuring that the finish requirements of the drawing specifications are achieved with first time quality
- Confers with engineers, production personnel, or others to resolve machining or assembly problems
- Work includes small and large assembly, and machining of heavy steel
- Apply knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, machinability of materials, and machine shop procedures
- Perform machine maintenance and is responsible for keeping work are clean and the immediate reporting of safety issues to Supervisor
- Work independently to complete responsibilities
- NDT experience is a plus
What You Bring
- Must be US citizen and be able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance
- 5 years machine shop experience and/or have completed a recognized apprenticeship as a General Machinist.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Ability to machine as per drawing tolerance of .0005\" where required
- Must be able to demonstrate General Machinist skills in the following areas:
- Lathe
- Milling
- Drilling
- Machine shop power and pneumatic tools
- Must be able to design and manufacture fixtures and template
- Must be able to make own layouts as per drawing
- Must be able to understand GD&T tolerances
- Experience operating forklifts, cranes, plate clamps and slings a plus
- Expected to have or purchase basic hand tools.
- The ability to work overtime when necessary and travel up to 25% is also a must.

Sets up and operates a normal range of machinery and equipment such as but not limited to:
single and multi-spindled drill presses, surface and wet grinders, saw, lathes, milling machines
and other similar type machines
Selects, adjusts, changes, replaces and sharpens tools, cutters, holders, jigs, fixtures, etc
Adjusts speeds, feeds, travel of parts; set and adjust stops, limits, guides, etc
Fabricates various die parts, sections, inserts, punches, etc

The Tool and Die Maker must possess the minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
- High School or Trade School Graduate; Prefer Tool and Die Maker experience with Certification

Under the general direction of a Production Supervisor, the Machinist position operates large CNC boring bar machines to produce parts to blueprint specification meeting production schedules and company standards for quality and quantity.
Essential Job Functions:
- Set-up and operate assigned classification machines to produce parts.
- Load tapes and edit CNC programs.
- Read and follow process sheets and drawings to set up and operate machines.
- Use rule/level/miter or square to measure angles.
- Read and work from drawings and schematics.
- Complete and maintain all required paperwork and ensure proper paperwork follows parts.
- Operate small hand and power tools including grinders, cranes and hoists, powered hand truck, and use precision measuring devices.
- Receive Company certification to operate overhead cranes, jib hoists, and powered industrial forklift.
- Perform daily inspections, operate and perform basic rigging and use chains and slings for a jib hoist, overhead crane and battery magnet.
- Operate pedestal mounted jib cranes.
- Preset for CNC tooling.
- Tool grinding of small twist drills.
- Operate internal shapers.
- Inspect and mark materials for machining.
- Perform random quality inspections to meet ISO standards.
- Maintain departmental housekeeping and 5S standards.
- Read and interpret dimensions or component drawings and mini process sheets.
- Ensure parts and materials are properly identified.
- Perform job functions in a safe manner.
- Wear all Personal Protective Equipment (P.P.E.) required, by company policy, for the job being performed.
- Know and follow established job specific and facility wide safety and health procedures and rules.
- Successfully complete all safety training required by the time constraints set by governmental regulations.

Job Requirements/Working Conditions:

- Requires two years experience in the set-up, lay-out and operation of large CNC boring bars and/or equivalent technical training in machining operations. Large horizontal boring bar experience preferred.

A Brief OverviewThe Nursing Supervisor coordinates and directs nursing operations of all hospital units during off shifts. Acts as a liaison with physicians, patients, families and staff. Schedules personnel and makes patient care recommendations and ensures effective patient throughput activities.

- Facilitates efficient and effective patient flow throughout the hospital
- Reviews clinical information regarding anticipated admissions, both scheduled and emergent
- Provides bed placement for patients at the right time and to the best possible location

Principal Duties/Responsibilities:
* Performs competent break-fix & preventative maintenance. This includes but is not limited to: observing devises in operation to determine root cause of problem; dismantling devices to gain access to and remove defective parts; adjustment of functional parts of devices and control instruments; repair and/or replacement of defective parts; and performing troubleshooting and repair of electrical circuitry and mechanical systems.
* Identifies parts, supplies and repair items as necessary for equipment maintenance and repair.
* With minimal instruction, performs maintenance as per industry standards.
* Works with customer counterparts to execute maintenance, reliability, and preventative maintenance procedures.
* May be required to setup and operate multiple machining operations including but not limited to: lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts. May perform welding tasks.
* Conforms and complies with customer contractor codes of conduct, housekeeping standards, and safety processes
* Documents work performed in service reports, and applicable management systems.
* Performs routine processes with and within industrial control systems to troubleshoots and analyzes complex equipment, perform equipment maintenance, and to resolve equipment problems.
* Utilizes in-depth application of electrical, mechanical, and fluid power aptitude to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
* Completes and conducts on-the-job training and technical self-study programs for career development.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSAs), & Competencies:
Essential KSAs:
* High School Graduate or equivalent (GED).
* Associates degree with a Technical focus and 5 years of related experience in specific industry; or, 7 years of experience in specific industry.
* Must be able to use basic hand tools and specialized tools as appropriate.
* Possesses working knowledge and experience regarding electrical, mechanical, and fluid power systems in related fields. Can analyze the problems, synthesize alternative solutions, and perform repairs
* Travel required. (Daily).

* Experience in preventative maintenance techniques, precision measuring, mechanical alignments, and general maintenance of applicable process equipment.
