Job Summary and QualificationsWe are seeking a Cath Lab Registered Nurse in our Cardiac Catheterization Lab. You will provide clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care in a procedural environment. What you will do in this role:
- You will assess, plan, intervene and evaluate the care of Cardiac Cath patients pre, intra and post procedure.
- You will assist physicians in operative procedures.
- You will maintain and review patients’ records including posting tests and examination results
- You will administer medications in accordance with physician orders
Requirements:
- Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active FL RN license required within 60 days of hire.
- Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
- One to three years’ experience as a Cardiac Cath Lab Technician.
- Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills

- Performs technical and patient care functions during diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Cardiovascular and Electrophysiology labs.

Job Requirements:
- Associate's degree in either nursing or radiology, or a graduate of an allied health accredited program, including EMTs, Paramedics, or Respiratory Therapists.

BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Memorial Hospital Belleville is an acute care hospital offering medical and surgical services plus critical and emergency care including Children’s at Memorial for pediatric emergency care. It provides patients a full complement of diagnostic and treatment services as well as heart and vascular care. The staff Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility for a group of patients for a designated time frame and provides care to these patients via the utilization of the nursing process, nursing trends, technology, financial and human resources within the philosophy of the institution. Staff are responsible for collaborating with physicians and members of the Prep/Recovery and Procedure Lab staff to facilitate excellent patient care. Responsibilities
Evaluate and enhance your own nursing practice by utilizing the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses, and Scope and Standards of Practice to provide 1:1 patient care to adult patients undergoing a variety of diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures. Completes initial assessment upon patient admission and develops appropriate plan of care in accordance with unit standards and that is based on patient and family needs. Implements plan of care, nursing interventions, and patient care procedures. Modifies plan of care based upon continuous evaluation. Administer moderate sedation and other medications in a safe manner by following Carle Policies. Communicates with others directly and in private when necessary to resolve issues. Offers constructive feedback to assist in the professional development of peers, and confers with colleagues to expand knowledge base. Identifies own learning needs and takes initiative to begin appropriate solution. Perform hemodynamic monitoring, identify potential life-threatening arrhythmias, and implement appropriate clinical treatment. Collaborate with patients and families to answer questions and provide emotional support when needed. Enhance patient care activities and act as a safety advocate through participation in ongoing department quality improvement and evidence-based practice projects. Coordinate safe care delivery through effective communication with the multi-disciplinary team. Recognize and adapt to potential changes in procedures while responding to emergent situations. The compensation range for this position is $34.01per hour - $58.5per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. What You’ll Do
• Perform fluoroscopic imaging during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures

What We’re Looking For
• ARRT certified (required)
