On-site Sr Software Engineer opportunity in El Segundo, CA. Relocation assistance. 100% on-site. In this role, you will be responsible for the architecture, design, and implementation of mission-critical software that enables spacecraft control, autonomy, communication, and safety.

What you will do:
- Lead the design and development of Space Kinetic's flight software, including guidance, navigation, control (GNC), telemetry, command, and fault management systems.

What is needed
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering
- 10+ years of experience developing embedded or real-time software for space, aerospace, robotics, or mission-critical systems
- Proven experience leading software development through all phases of the system lifecycle
- Strong proficiency in C/C++, with working knowledge of Python or scripting languages
- Familiarity with RTOS, bare-metal programming, or Linux-based embedded systems

We are seeking an entry-level QA / Software Tester to join our team. This role is ideal for a recent Computer Science graduate who is interested in software quality, testing, and ensuring applications perform reliably for users. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to test new features, identify issues, and support the delivery of high-quality software.
Responsibilities:

The role involves understanding and maintaining an existing code base, performing software requirement analysis, architecture design, and ensuring complete lifecycle compliance including traceability, documentation, and configuration management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand, build, and maintain the Arm-based SoC embedded software code base.
- Ensure software development follows DO-178C DAL A safety-critical SDLC processes.
- Perform software requirements capture, analysis, and traceability.
- Develop software architecture and detailed design documentation.
- Update and maintain source code to meet DO-178C compliance.

You’ll work closely with engineering leadership, product managers, and cross-functional teams to design and build secure, scalable features while mentoring other developers. This position blends deep technical contribution with early leadership responsibilities, offering a clear path toward technical or people management roles.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead the technical design and development of new and existing finance-related features within the Dentrix Ascend platform
- Develop clean, efficient, and maintainable Java code using Spring Boot while following Test-Driven Development (TDD) and clean architecture principles
- Apply advanced object-oriented design, SOLID principles, design patterns, and refactoring techniques to maintain high-quality codebases
- Contribute to overall system architecture with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance under heavy usage
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues to ensure platform stability and reliability
- Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices and continuous learning
- Partner with DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation

- Prior experience designing or working with microservices and modern software architecture patterns
- Previous experience supporting the team and guiding technical decisions as a team lead or technical lead
- Experience working with large language models (LLMs) or AI tools for generating, interpreting, or improving codebases
- Prior experience mentoring engineers or provided technical leadership while maintaining strong communication across the team
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Passion for building high-quality software and enabling team success
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
