What you'll do:

  • Applies advanced actuarial knowledge to complete broad and complex projects (e.g., evaluates and selects methodology to price new discount/endorsement for countrywide rollout; develops alternative methodologies to comply with complex regulatory requirements; selects metrics and designs processes to monitor model performance; translates business problems into technical requirements and performs required analysis to develop solutions; independently runs catastrophe models and interprets and communicates results to support critical business activities, while enhancing the control environment as needed.
  • Utilizes advanced actuarial, mathematical, or statistical techniques to augment actuarial work product.
  • Leads special actuarial projects, such as the development of new methodologies or reporting tools.
  • Trains new team members on the theory and mechanics of relevant actuarial methodologies.

What you have:

Compensation range: The salary range for this position is: $127,310 - $229,160.

  • Report on the status of loans within the pipeline on a regular basis.

  • Present loans to the Credit Committee for exceptions, escalations, and approval.
  • Condition files for missing/supporting documentation according to Merchants’ guidelines.
  • Perform a preliminary review of all underwriting documents, including third-party reports.
  • Collect, analyze, and approve all required due diligence.
  • Perform property and market assessments to evaluate property conditions and market/submarket dynamics.
  • Communicate and document the reasons for approving or rejecting loans so that clients and loan officers are well-informed about the decisions made.
  • Mentor and train junior staff.


Qualifications/Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum 5 years of mortgage underwriting experience. Strong preference for experience with underwriting commercial and business purpose loans

The 12-bed Behavioral Health Unit specializes in caring for patients aged 55 and older with various neurological and behavioral conditions, including dementia, acute mental status changes, and Parkinson's disease. The unit provides medication management and support for situational depression and ideation, while focusing on maintaining the independence of most patients. With a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6, the dedicated team comprises RNs, techs, sitters, a social worker, an intake clinician, and a recreational assistant, ensuring personalized care without accepting medically unstable patients. Telehealth psychiatric services are also available to enhance patient support.

Essential Functions

  • Performs plan-of-care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
  • Documents patient care provided in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
  • Assists patients with activities of daily living (hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation).
