Job Description:
The position will be responsible for working in the process of cooling tower manufacturing. The position may work in various areas. The position may assume additional duties as assigned. Depending upon which operation the incumbent is performing, he/she may be required to:

  • Pull correct material for the job duty being performed
  • Clean part using correct cleaning procedure
  • Put correct sealant onto parts
  • Apply thread guard where appropriate
  • Assemble the designated parts correctly using a drill, impact gun, and wrenches
  • Operate a man lift, scissor lift, overhead crane, hoist, and/or forklift as required after Company certification is obtained
  • Use tools such as wrenches, impact guns, utility knife, drift pins, sealant tape, glue, staple gun, nail gun, and any other required tools/equipment safely and effectively
  • Proficiently and safely pick and pack parts for customer orders

Operations Supervisor General Function

The Operations Supervisor will be responsible for learning all aspects of Loomis operations, including but not limited to: Vault Operations, Coin Operations, attending Armored Service and ATM Technician Training, assist in training and retention of ASTs. Responsibilities will also include implementing and administering Loomis policies and procedures as well as monitoring and controlling daily operations and assisting with long-term operation of armored car routes and the cash vault. The Operations Supervisor will work alongside management to develop, maintain, and supervise a professional employee-centered culture, a safe and secure operation, a high level of service of delivery, and cost effective, productive operation as directed by Operations Manager.

Typical Duties/Responsibilities

Complete and maintain scheduling/routing on a daily basis.

Oversight and coordination of armored and ATM routes and dispatch. This may require going on route from time to time.

Controlling costs of the operation

Maintaining effectiveness and efficiency of route, terminal, and vault operations.

Safety of employees, vehicles, and facilities through training, monitoring and enforcement of policies and procedures.

What you drive at DTNA

  • Setting, repair and maintenance of blowers, fans, weldments, dock levelers and plates, balancers and dynamometers.
  • Responsible for moving tables, benches, cabinets, requiring powered vehicles or hoists outside of departments. Internal movement is a departmental responsibility unless otherwise requested by the department.
  • Fabrication and installation of tanks, stands, guard rails, roller conveyors, bollards, steel platforms and stairs, and drive couplings. (Tanks requiring certification are not included).
  • Responsible for specialized rigging and hoist or crane operation when lifting, unloading, installing, moving or setting equipment and machinery.
  • Responsible for welding, burning, heating, cutting and fabrication of all metal unless otherwise assigned to specific trade.
  • Installation and replacement of belts on furnaces, washers, fans, conveyors and ovens.
  • Responsible for fabrication, bending and straightening hooks, baskets and lifting fixtures.
  • Installation of building supply transformers, including mounts.
  • Responsible for installation and repair of overhead lift doors, track, frame and accessories.
  • Common lifting, transport of unstable loads trade specific material.

Qualifications

  • GED or High School Diploma is required
  • Certified Journeyperson card holder or ability to document 8 years of experience
  • Must possess good written and verbal communication skills

BCSO Detention Deputy - Transportation

Incumbents are responsible for the care, custody, control, and transportation of a detainee population during an assigned shift. Specific duties include transporting arrestees and detainees to/from state prison, doctor appointments, holding cells, jails, and courts, serving court orders and serving hospital guard duty, transportation of IVC's to and from hospitals. Assisting Detention Officers with the booking and supervision of detainees.

Purpose of the position:

This position's primary responsibility is for the transport of inmates to and from Federal Court, hospitals, dentist, doctor appointments and any other inmate transportation needs and to perform a variety of duties pertaining to the safety and security of inmates in the custody of the County Detention Facility.

Minimum Education, Training and/or Experience:

High School diploma or equivalent and completion of NC BLET Course; Must be 21 years of age.

License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation:

Certification as a law enforcement officer in accordance with the North Carolina Sheriffs' Training and Standards Commission, Possession of a valid driver's license issued by the State of North Carolina.

Essential Functions of the position:

  • Transports detainees to and from the jail, county courthouse, holding cells, and doctor's visits, ensuring care, custody, and control of detainees
  • Prepares a variety of paperwork, logs, and/or related documentation
  • Conducts searches of detainees to ensure safety of Officers and the public
  • Participates in training sessions related to safety, security, firearms and procedures
  • Work any post, assignment, or shift to support the 24-hour per day, 7-day a week operation. This includes nights, weekends, and holidays; and when the need arises, adjust their schedule to accomplish a mission or operational need
  • Works mandatory overtime as assigned

  • Ability to take prompt and effective action during detention facility emergencies and to exercise sound judgment to adopt quick, effective, and reasonable courses of action.
  • Skill in the use of firearms and other law enforcement equipment
