Position Overview

The Production Manager will oversee all aspects of exterior remodeling production once projects are sold and turned over from our Project Advisors. This role is primarily office-based in Fulton, MD, with occasional field visits for inspections, subcontractor vetting, and quality checks.

You’ll lead and train production team members, manage subcontractor relationships, ensure efficient project scheduling, and maintain profitability across all jobs. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented construction professional ready to take the next step in leadership.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all production operations for roofing, siding, gutters, windows, and doors projects.
  • Take ownership of projects after sales handoff (detail sheet, deposit, etc.).
  • Train, mentor, and support Production Coordinators and team members.
  • Vet and onboard new subcontractors while maintaining relationships with existing partners.
  • Schedule and track projects to ensure on-time, on-budget completion.
  • Order materials, dumpsters, and portable restrooms for job sites.
  • Monitor budgets and job costs to ensure profitability.
  • Review and resolve project issues early to prevent delays or cost overruns.
  • Track production metrics and maintain accurate data in Zoho (our project management system).
  • Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, and other departments to maintain smooth project flow.
  • Enforce safety and quality standards on all projects.


What We’re Looking For

  • 2+ years of construction or production management experience (roofing, siding, windows, or exterior remodeling strongly preferred).
  • Strong understanding of residential construction and exterior systems.
  • Proven leadership and team training experience.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with project management or CRM software.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to conduct site visits as needed.

monitoring of contractual snow removal crews.

* Maintains and cares for all equipment, machinery and vehicles used during work assignments;
regularly performs preventative maintenance tasks; reports required maintenance and repair of
equipment and vehicles to Road Machinery personnel.

Graduation from high school (or GED equivalent) plus additional technical or specialized training, including or

9. Starts, operates, and checks for safety and appropriate maintenance on a wide variety of small engines, hand tools, pumps, chain saws, and Authority maintenance vehicles.

10. May maintain and make general repairs to power tools and equipment such as chain saws, pumps, and vehicles, which includes checking and maintaining lubricant levels, timing, replacing, and adjusting worn or damaged parts.

11. May install HVAC systems. Maintains HVAC equipment and systems by performing a full range of preventive maintenance and restoring and repairing faulty or inoperative systems and associated equipment in accordance with blueprints, piping and wiring diagrams, and manufacturers’ specifications.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Position Summary: The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for ensuring the proper operation, safety, and upkeep of SFBU campus facilities, building systems, and equipment.

Position Snapshot/A Day in the Life:

This Associate Engineer position will be within the Traffic Division of the Public Works/Engineering Department. With a team of 11 (7 of whom are primarily responsible for signal operations and maintenance), we are responsible for overseeing the City's transportation system, including supporting Capital Improvements Projects, Land Development projects, Street Maintenance, Planning, and others.

Under the direction of a Senior Engineer or City Traffic Engineer, you will primarily be responsible for reviewing private development and capital improvement project related traffic studies, identifying impacts and deficiencies, and determining the most appropriate improvements and design features needed. Other day-to-day duties will also involve reviewing and preparing signing/striping plans and traffic control plans, investigating and responding to concerns from the general public, and participating in long-range planning activities. Distinguishing Characteristics: This is the journey level class within the Engineering series. Essential Functions

The incumbent must have the ability to:

They would be familiar with VMT, the current industry trends related to its implementation, and be able to assist the team in managing and updating our Traffic Impact Guidelines. They'll have excellent skills in using Excel and be comfortable working within it to create reliable and flexible tools for day-to-day analysis needs. The Traffic division and the City pursue significant grants and special projects that allow us to grow our infrastructure and capabilities, as well as to implement the best practices in the industry, the ideal candidate would be someone who is knowledgeable about the current trends in the Transportation engineering and planning fields and be able to lead grant pursuit efforts and independently manage such projects along with coordination with stakeholders of competing interests.

Experience: One (1) to two (2) years of increasingly responsible experience in civil engineering.

Necessary Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.

This program consists of a mandatory annual medical physical to ensure that each employee is fit for duty.

Candidates must meet or exceed the 25th percentile as reflected in the following Table.

Sit and Reach – This tests the officer’s flexibility in the lower back, legs and shoulders.

The officer shall sit on the floor in front of the measuring device.

They shall bend at the waist pushing a block down the device.

The stretch must be a static stretch and the officer’s calves must remain in contact with the floor.

The test is measured to the quarter inch.

Bench Press – This test measures the officer’s upper body strength for one repetition.

The test is conducted on a single fulcrum bench for safety purposes.

The officer is to press the weight straight up until they have locked out their arms.

The test is measured in 5-pound increments.

Officers are weighed at the time of the test (in PT gear) and the appropriate percentage of the officer’s weight is used to determine the percentage to be bench pressed.

1.5 Mile Run – This test measures the cardio-respiratory fitness of the officer.

It is conducted on a flat surface track / pre-measured (flat) course/treadmill.

The test is measured in minutes and seconds.

After initial PEB qualifications, must re-qualify on an annual basis.

SGOs failing to meet the minimum standards during annual requalification be allowed thirty (30) calendar days to successfully meet minimum standards.

Security Guards failing to meet requirements after 30 calendar days will be placed on Weapons Restriction.

Physical Efficiency Battery: The PEB is a fitness test consisting of three differing components to measure the fitness level of the officer.

The PEB is categorized by age and gender and with a graduated (percentile) scale that ranks officer’s performance from the highest (99th percentile) to the lowest (1st percentile).

As an example, a male between 35 to 39 years old is in the 99th percentile if they have 25.00 inches of flexibility, can push 172.14% of their body weight and can run 1.5 miles in 9:15.

The same person would be in the 1st percentile with scores of 10 inches of flexibility, 51.50% of body weight pushed and a 1.5 mile run in 22:00.
